The redesign was terrible for Co-op City. As for the redesign of the Bx15, it's horrible! My friends who travel from the Bronx now has to pay two fares in order to connect to a Manhattan North or South bus line along 125 St. The Bx15 and the new M125 terminating at the 149 St-3 Ave Hub, the free transfer will allow connection to continue to Manhattan then when you would normally transfer for your north/south buses along 125 Street you now have to pay another fare which makes commuting more terrible. They should have kept the Bx15 coming into Manhattan, cause you now have to get off a bus to connect to the Manhattan bus then get off that bus and pay a 2nd fare to connect with buses along 125th Street. That proves they made decisions without confronting passengers who rides the Bx15 bus lines DAILY. 😫
They pretty much did confer with riders on every route, though it looked like that the connection through 149th isn’t used by a lot of people. However in my view, the split should’ve been done at 125th Street and 2nd Avenue with the M35 extended to replace Bx15 and M100 service. Service frequencies would be doubled.
@@Maunico0809 I don't get a free transfer to the 3rd bus. Once they split the ride to Manhattan from the BX15 to M125 (free transfer) now when a person gets off at Lexington Avenue for the M101 bus (3rd bus), that's now another fare paid on what used to be a free transfer.
I noticed that you mentioned Americans calling our systems subways, when other countries call their systems metros. Well quite simply put, it is an aspect of our culture. Every society has its own culture, calling our systems subways is part of ours.

I agree that the Bx15 split should’ve been split at 125th and 2nd, though it looked like they found out that the buses usually empty out at 149th Street anyway.
We have cameras in full view for our passengers. Yet people will still act up infront of cameras no matter the outcome. Just 2 weeks ago, a person ran a redlight at a crosswalk and sideswipe my bus. She blame me for her car damage. Camera footage was review and I was not at fault for the accident.
I take Bx11 a lot like everyday before it ran 172 Via West farms and Jennings street It still runs at Louis nine boulevard it does not make the turn it used to go exactly on my house street next to the school next to Whitlock avenue And the 6 train but since the bus redesign it runs straight at Louis nine Blvd and goes to 174 meets up with Bx19 and bx21 than goes down to 174/Boone avenue (Boone avenue and 172 is where I live at) but after than it crosses the bridge going to park Chester replacing bx36 I don’t really understand why bx11 goes to park Chester I mean like already the bx4 bx4a Bx36 bx22 bxm6 q44-SBS you can even take the 6 train I don’t understand why bx11 could’ve just went to west farms but whatever
If the Bx11 was not changed to go to Parkchester, rerouting the Bx36 would leave 174th Street with no service at all. Remember, the plan for Southern Bronx is the straighten out crosstown travel, with the Bx36 going from meandering the slow route via 174th Street, Boston Road, and East 180th Street, and then going along Webster Avenue for a bit before going back to Tremont Avenue to a simpler and straighter route along Tremont Avenue. That move in itself required several bus lines to change or risk losing service entirely. Thus, the Bx40 was moved to East 180th Street to replace the Bx36 there and 174th Street got the Bx11 instead (this also bought the side effect of providing a new direct connection between Parkchester and Morrisania, something that didn’t exist before). Besides, you have the Bx35 route coming up there and it will take you to pretty much the same area as the Bx11 once went to. No biggie.

Accessibility. That's the second reason why I STOPPED taking the subways. The closest accessible stations to on the 2 and 3 line are 96th street or 135th street. The main reason why I stopped is underground crime.
0:41 2055?! You can't be serious about that! Heck no one knows what NYC will be like in that year! Furthermore I don't think I'll be still alive when that time comes around.

@@TheRailLeaguer I’m not in favor of CP. the first part of the segment. The MTA is always crying broke and due to continuous mismanagement they put the cost burden on riders. In 2003 or 04 they were caught with 2 sets of books and nothing happened. The second part is pertaining to consolidating the Railroads and having them run in the confines of the city. My point is that their will be an uptick in crime and if the subways are inhumanly disgusting image the railroads. The social issues have to be take care of to include crime.
@@BrooklynBound4 The crime part is just fear mongering. Crime should be no reason to not merge the LIRR, Metro North, and NJ Transit (except the Atlantic City Line) into one. 1. Longer videos are much better! Your opinions add a lot to the video 2. The M125 is the dumbest Bronx route. It’s the bx55 all over again but I’m reverse! When will they realize that there’s a reason the third Avenue el ran above 3rd ave; splitting the 15 does nothing to help anyone, besides add an extra trip for those who did ride from the Bronx into Manhattan.
The Bx15 split was to done to improve the reliability of the route, though I feel that the split should’ve been at 125th Street/2nd Avenue with the M35 extended to replace the Bx15 and M100 at double the frequencies.
@@TheRailLeaguer I agree with ending in Manhattan (or extending the m35 to the hub) but by ending the bx15 at the hub has resurrected the bx55 (which is basically the bx15 LTD now!) if memory serves me right, the 55 was eliminated for, among other reasons, being redundant to the 15 as well as having low ridership since the 15 went into Manhattan and the 55 was the replacement for the El. Now, we have the worst part of that route combined with a transfer!
@@CMPMGMT Well it was than and other service changes related to the implementation of Select Bus Service on the Bx41, and construction of a new bus terminal loop at Fordham Plaza. With the SBS on that route running 7 days a week, it was too redundant to have both the Bx41 SBS and the Bx55 on Webster to Gun Hill Road. As a result, the Bx55 was converted to the Bx15 Limited with other changes to the Bx15 route. About a year later, the bus loop opened, which allowed for more efficient turning of the 3rd Avenue Bus route as well (as of now, only the Bx15 uses the loop). In my own plans, I had things go differently for a number of routes. Coinciding with my other hopeful plans for subway expansions and highway removals, I had the Bx15 rerouted away from 3rd Avenue south of 163rd Street. Instead, I had the route travel along St. Ann’s Avenue to where the Bx17 bus currently terminates, replacing that route. The Bx17 meanwhile would be rerouted back to Southern Blvd and along Bruckner Blvd to 138th Street. From there it would travel along the Triboro Bridge to Randall’s Island to connect with my planned M125/M35 combo and provide the Bronx with direct access to Randall’s Island. Meanwhile the Bx21 would see a service boost to replace the Bx15 and be extended to 125th Street/2nd Avenue. It is of note that I have the 3rd Avenue Bridge converted to two-way bus only operations. The Bx41 would also see some changes in my plan. With this, both local and SBS would be extended via Willis Avenue, with the local going into Manhattan to 125th Street and 2nd Avenue via the Willis Avenue Bridge. The SBS would travel via the Triboro Bridge and into Queens, going to LaGuardia Airport. These changes would enhance Bronx service, improve Interborough connectivity, and provide more direct access to Randall’s Island and LaGuardia Airport.

No biggie.
@@TheRailLeaguer yeah I saw the bx35 going there but it goes to 167 and my dad lives at 167 but I only visit him every 2 months so I don’t need to take the Bx35 but for school I go to 149 St Grand concourse so I guess I can take the bx35 to grand concourse and transfer to the 4 or bx1 or bx2 or even bxm4
@@DeathMorethanlife Looks like your commute hasn’t changed for the worse. You can also walk to the Freeman Street station to get the 2 train there instead.
@@TheRailLeaguer sometimes I take the 2 I actually used to take the 2 to my school but like everyday The local has to wait at Jackson Avenue for like 15 minutes so the express can pass by which makes me late
@@TheRailLeaguer sometimes I take the 6 at Whitlock avenue than get off at 138th street then take bx1 or bx2 to 149 grand concourse but now I would just take bx11 to 170 Ik bx11 still goes through Boston road Crotona park Webster avenue through 170 but before bx11 went *RIGHT* next to my house and I can just get out of my house and take it but now I have to walk which can make me late my school time is very strict but I’m on summer break so doesn’t really matter
Building an elevator, especially underground right next to building lines, isn’t easy or quick. Takes a lot of time, effort, money, blood, sweat, and tears to make almost every station have elevators.
I like to see PATH train to accept Unlimited MetroCard with free transfer for PPR bet PATH and MTA.
Yes PATH should be taken away from Port Authority
The MTA needs to have their ledgers audited! Where the hell is the the money the Railroad will become hood if that happens. Crime has to be contained.
What?
And a merger line that WILL not increase crime rates, but rather improve commutes for everyone. A merger of all three railroads running at subway frequencies would be wonders for millions of people.
@@TheRailLeaguer I respect your point but so disagree. No fear mongering it’s reality. A majority of my friends and family now drive or travel by other means no subway.
@@BrooklynBound4 So you’re admitting that it’s fear mongering? Besides, Paris does it right, so why not NYC?
Hey! I currently have someone impersonating me, (for whatever reason, I’m not that famous) so if you see someone comment and has the same name but a lower quality version of my profile pic, then ignore them cuz that’s not me.
1. Longer videos are much better! Your opinions add a lot to the video
@@TheRailLeaguer I agree with ending in Manhattan (or extending the m35 to the hub) but by ending the bx15 at the hub has resurrected the bx55 (which is basically the bx15 LTD now!)
if memory serves me right, the 55 was eliminated for, among other reasons, being redundant to the 15 as well as having low ridership since the 15 went into Manhattan and the 55 was the replacement for the El.
Take the train dude
@@CMPMGMT haha 2 train go brr

For the Hidden Cameras these Should be built as standard for new trains R211S R211T R211As new batch. IRT R262. The solution should be a OHLE Third Rail Diesel Dual mode train like a Class 755 UK Filrt with Caltrain setup dual doors. Then Stadler Euro 9000 dual modes for NJ Transit LIRR metro-north that way Electric mode is used more outside of where electrification ends diesel motor is activated.
It doesn’t take 30 years to install that many elevators but hey government gonna government
Well, at a rate of about 80 per 5 year period, it does make sense, especially with the numerous other projects the MTA has going on at the same time. It's a bummer, but at least it's getting done.
They should have been done that long time ago and the 1980 2005 and 2010 why retrofit 20th century for the 21st century now should have been done that the old train car long time ago Millennium decade
