  • Elsa (Isabel May) meets Sam (Martin Sensmeier) in "Lightning Yellow Hair." The cast breaks down episode 7 in this extended cut of Behind the Story.
    #ParamountPlus #1883
1883, a Yellowstone origin story, follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883 is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land - Montana.

More accurate Native American stories within the Yellowstone universe would be amazing to see. I’d love to see a spin off series centered around Native American characters tied back to those we see in Yellowstone. Americans need a re-education of Native American history that replaces lie with truth.

Yeah it would be interesting for people to see how the democrats in the government throughout history have been the ones who stole the land from indigenous and gave them diseases. You can verify it through archives of historical documents. Not every republican was innocent, but as a whole, the pain inflicted upon the native people has been done from the left. Russell Means talks about the socialist built reservations when he spoke to Congress.

It's been an amazing story to watch. Great job! We just came back from a trip to Kansas. We took video of how some of the early settlers lived in basic dug out homes during the 1860's. It really brings it to life to see something like that in person. It must have been frighting when a tornado would come through. Such a hard life but, they were resilient people and not willing to give up.

Do another series based on the truthful history of the native, indigenous peoples of North America. Not the lies and bull forced down our throats in public (government funded) schools. *THEIR TRUTH.*

Exactly! My school only taught us that natives were these (though primitive) noble race that hunted and foraged. I Saw them as peaceful nomads for years untill after I left school and visited a bunch of Native American museum on reservations.
They were crazy brutal people. School always portrayed them as the meek victims of Colonialization but they truly were a force to be recond with. I didn't realize there were so many battles between tribes before the euros showed Up. Many tribes even banded together with the settlers in order to defeat enemy tribes. It's very fascinating.

Yeah I don't know who the stunt person was For elsa racing sam But whoever it was if it was actually the actress playing elsa she sucked If you call that a running on a horse Then you've obviously never Been in a horse race Which was very evident In the episode.... She looked like she was scared to even run the horse.... The whole walk up and everything...

I am a Native American and I’ve raced many horses in horse races. And with her being on a cow horse in a heavy stock saddle…she did what was needed for the scene on a cow horse.
Kuddos to her for starring in one of my favorite shows.
