Even though it sometimes hurts to watch some of your favorite shoes get cut open, I always enjoy the knowledge that comes with it and love to learn more about the shoes I wear. My shoe size for Nike is US 10.
General contractor, I do construction type work and have worn AF1 for the last 10 years. Reason why is they are comfortable, are great for walking around customers houses as opposed to dirty looking boots, they last for at least a year although the air does not. I usually wear new AF1 outside of work until they are dirty looking then clean them and turn them into work shoes. When the air gets popped I try to replace soon and use them as grass mowing shoes or some other throw away use.
Such an incredibly made shoe IMO. They’re absolute tanks & the leather always cleans up on them really well. Only sneaker I’ve ever found to take up years of bar tar and just hold up like nobody’s business. If I had to choose 1 shoe to own it would be either these or air max 90’s.
In my opinion, the af1 is the best shoe, ever made. The quality you get for the price you pay is insane.. I bought my airforce 3 years ago, and still rock them to this day, a little bit of cleaning, and they look close to being new. Have worn them in really warm and cold continents all around the world, they never disappointed. Definitely recommend them.

I've tried several different white leather high tops over the years, from many brands and the quality difference varies widely. It's surprising to see how high the quality is on the Air Force 1. Comfort, structure and materials, these are the best I've seen. The quality I've seen on some Air Jordans over the years has been dismal, especially on the "leather" quality. The Reeboks have been my favorites for a while but they weakened the BB4500s a couple years ago and I haven't gone back. Air Force 1 will defintely be my next purchase.
@@xeyutipe They're really good. I've had 3 pairs over the last 2 years. 2 mids and 1 high. The highs don't articulate enough at the ankle but the mid with the built in strap are solid. 1 bought 1 pair of lows but they fit so big, I just gave them away. They all creak and squeak within the midsole quite a bit, but the comfort and durability is there. They don't really make the good Reebok BB4600 any more so the AF1 is my go to. As a Painting Contractor they're a great boot like sneaker and I can just spray em with white primer when I get paint on them and they basically look brand new again.
@@ruslan8820 I get a new pair every year. I keep them around for the second year but only wear them on occasion when I have a dirty job. If you need a shoe for 2 years, AF1 is worth it.

Since binging these videos, I gotta say, while I'm not surprised about the wildly varying material quality we see from the big brands, I am surprised at how robust the construction of them is! I honestly always just assumed that the major mass producers were a lil bit flimsy for the money(not necessarily based on personal experience; I beat the SHIT outta my shoes growing up, but I have a hard time wearing them out as an adult - appropriate footwear for appropriate occasions goes a long way lol) - but, damn, really looks like our dude here has to put a little work in to get these things apart. Can we get a comparison between these and the Nike Air Force 1 By You? Heard from one video that the leather quality feels way better, but it would be nice to see it be compared side by side (especially with Air Force 1's being sold out atm due to Spring Break)
In my experience in the last two decades, Air Force 1s have terrible outsoles. If you wear them at least twice a week, they'll probably last six months before the outsole is deteriorated and the air pockets are exposed. The leather is also quite thin.
@@flymartian33 Seeing the adidas forums on his other videos look like the inner most part of the outsole is almost too thin especially the front part. I plan to use it for flat pedal cycling with some pins as high as 2mm. Tore through some vibram with light to medium downhills and some heavy uphills.

Just what I always knew the Air Force one is a great shoe well-made that’s why it is still popular till this day
I would personally love to see a “cut in half” margiela reps video
Let’s push this comment to the top hoping that he’s gonna see it!!
Which margiela
sallahedine GATs, I own a pair of them so I’m curious to see what makes them so comfortable
@@rentierreco they leather? I think he only really does leather or pleather shoes
Dylan Monnier Lamb skin and calf split! I’m more curious regarding the soles tho
Me who just discovered this channel:
“Oh I guess this is before he bought the saw”
Sharp ass knife 😂
Great video. Can you make adidas forum or adidas forum bold? They're similar tô AF1, but I think they're more confortable and i do not know why.
Thought this was gonna be a cake 😭
Honestly, the AF1 is one of the best sneakers ever created. It goes so well with every style of clothing, that it is nearly unbelievable!
Size 14 btw
ur foots too big
Plural of foot is FEET not Foots. Correct?
Id like to see you do this to the so called "OEM" "Ghost pairs" "unauthorized originals" things and compare them with the actual stuff
Size 12 US btw 👌
Absolutely. These shoes have tonnes of bootleg fake copy. I would like to see the comparison too
Agreed, he should also try cutting "Class A" fakes
whats ur feet lenght? just for reference! thank you
Can you do a video of cutting reps to see if reps have an air unit
With how well these are constructed, I’m not surprised that they’ve been so popular for so long. Great video!
US Size: 7y
That pair of sneakers look more stronger than the sole of the doc marten's lol, also I thought it was gonna be trash leather like the 10$ belt, honestly I was very surprised
My size is 10 US (sorry for my english)
I hope i can win a pair of those sneakers, they look so comfortable !
Not "more stronger" just "stronger"
MmeDesgranges He did imply that English isn’t his first language. If he’s a native spanish speaker, “more stronger” is an easy mistake to make.
OH MY GOD FINALLY
Can we get a comparison between these and the Nike Air Force 1 By You? Heard from one video that the leather quality feels way better, but it would be nice to see it be compared side by side (especially with Air Force 1's being sold out atm due to Spring Break)
absolutely obsessed with the way you cut shoes in half damn
size 8W
Same for me, thats why I'm doing it myself as well in the meanwhile... :D
“...popular with everyone from VSCO girls to sneakerheads “, amazing description. Enjoyed your video, keep up the amazing content !! US Size 9 (Men’s)
Rose Anvil: cuts the shoe in half
My heart: no pls no I've been trying to buy this for a year 😂
literally😭😭
@@Ziggy.. well, good for you. Please buy me a pair 😂😭
@@Ziggy.. I make that in 2 hours.
Can you cut open the Reebox Club C 85 Vintage please? Appreciate all the videos!
i never knew people did this and i love how you know what youre doing😂
In my experience in the last two decades, Air Force 1s have terrible outsoles. If you wear them at least twice a week, they'll probably last six months before the outsole is deteriorated and the air pockets are exposed. The leather is also quite thin.
I stopped wearing them in middle school even though I only went through 2 pairs now I just wear the Adidas forums
@@flymartian33 Seeing the adidas forums on his other videos look like the inner most part of the outsole is almost too thin especially the front part. How does your forum compare right now being as used as your AF1s?
Hope he does adi2000 seeing as they feel heavy and have more chunkier outsoles. I plan to use it for flat pedal cycling with some pins as high as 2mm. Tore through some vibram with light to medium downhills and some heavy uphills.
Wow I actually thought the soles were just solid. This was very informative 🔥🔥
Man, you should do the Margiela German Army Trainer replica sneakers, they are one of the most popular premium leather/suede sneakers (of course a fraction of the price is going to be just the price you pay for the MM name and heritage, but it would be cool to see if they really live up to the hype) you can get them brand new for arround 300$ on grailed second hand and they retain their price fairly well even after taking a good mileage
I find it very intriguing that you’re doing something that many wouldn’t do to their shoes, it's super interesting to see what kind of stuff its made from and all the different sections without having to sacrifice my own pairs 😂. U.S.9.5 Mens
he gets paid for it. Without this he doesn't get paid but it's cool to see.
I was fascinated how you dissect and describe the materials of the Air Force 1, which is one of my most wanted favorite shoes. I want to see you cut open Adidas Superstar shoe! Thanks for sharing and keep up the awesome content!
US Size 8.5 (men’s) please :)
"They're nice walking shoes" my dad's comment.
Size: US 12
what's the lenght of the foot? just for reference! thanks :)
Can you do the AF1 crafts? Wondering if the leather they used on them warrants the premium price.
I’ll never understand why he doesn’t take the shoe laces off first
it takes a while shit is annoying ig
Me either! It makes me cringe!
He answered why in a previous video
Please don't shame him for not donating them to goodwill lol
Leo Carmichael link me to that video lol
Man I’ve been learning more about shoes cause of this channel.👌🏻 keep up the good work man!😁
I’m a size 10 btw
Honestly the air unit just takes the AF1’s to an entire new level of comfort
Size US8
You should do the AF1 Noctas now - apparently the leather is more premium and there were some production issues with the sole.
What knife is that?
just asking for a school project💀
The leather quality are just like what i thought, better than AJ.
Shoe size: US10
It's messed up considering aj1 are double the cost if you buy the highs
The highs is where the actual quality goes
@@danielbetanco5885 it's still not quality when you compare it to actual good boots.
These are always eye opening to see which companies are cutting corners and the likes. Loving these shoe break downs. UK9 btw hah
Great vid as always. I also watched the superstar. Between those two, air force and superstar which one you prefer the most?
I've always wanted a pair of these!
Shoe size: Women's 6.5
So, buy one.
The build quality was actually much better than I thought. I would love to win a pair. EU size 44
That was satisfying and heartbreaking at the same time.
Shoe size: US 8.
Very interesting! I'm curious as to how the Air Force One Luxe compares, as it is lug soled and supposedly has better leather
chunky sole always make me feel weird around them
size: us 17 mens
kriss kringle hold up...17?!
You a John Wayne Gacy fan?
Surprising that it's a 3/4 air unit. You feel none of that on feet.
no you do feel it but only if ur heavier. With fat guys wearing them you see the air units bulging
@@appelscha23 my guy, I am heavier lmao. Not extremely obese though. But chubby and you can not feel it. For heavy heavy people, midsoles will do that. With air or not. Midsoles will look like they're about to pop. It's rubber walls with foam. That's the rubber wall expanding. Even without an air bubble, it would look like that
@@appelscha23 especially with the air units that go inside shoes. If you were to squash them flat they would not expand that much. They're low volume
@@erikcamacho1 Im quite heavy (200lbs) and especially when I run I do feel the air cushioning. What's your weight bc you say you don't feel it?
@@appelscha23 ~220. You run in air Forces?
Imagine if he was so good he cut through the AF1 metal lace at the bottom lmfao
Any chance you’ll cut and review the craft version of this sneaker? Supposedly has higher quality and tumbled leather.
