My Father died 5 weeks ago.
He was 88 years and 4 months old, and outlived my Mother by over 24 years, he never re married, and lived alone, but always, always missed her...... Terribly. They were married for over 40 years.
He had quite a long drawn out debilitating passing, and looking back, not once did he complain, he was deaf, almost blind, and suffered with a form of delirium, which caused him to see many horrible things, in his last 18 months.
    He was my hero.
l am him, in so many, many ways.
And by sheer coincidence, he had the very same reading at his funeral.
l do not think anyone may know this.
I choose to believe in those words.
And l shall see my Mother and Father once more, when it is time, until then, l shall live by those words.

I have to contradict this orator. I met Charles Bronson numerous times and he was very soft spoken, kind and very thankful. I worked at a hospital in TX when Jill Ireland was diagnosed with breast cancer. She happened to be under the care of a Oncologist, Dr Duer, who was on staff. Whenever she was admitted they would bring her through the ER, to avoid social media. She was very sweet. Each time she came in, you could see the cancer was beating her. Charles Bronson , when visiting her, would also come through ER and wait for one of us to escort him up. Even though he was older he had masculinity all over hum and was always a gentleman. I can remember she lost her battle and you could see how the life had been sucked out of him. You always saw the love between them. May they both RIP.

I’ve heard stories about how when Jill played Spock’s love interest in the Star Trek episode This Side Of Paradise, some people were a little concerned that Charles might beat up Leonard Nimoy if he got too lovey dovey with Jill. Charles had a commanding screen presence and was one of my family’s favorite actors. Beautiful grave, may he RIP.

Later on in his career his acting got better and better and he also was better looking :) I loved his movies and loved that fact that he treasured Jill and cared for her to the end. It crushed him. She died at 54 and he at 81 so there was an age difference. I feel that being loved by her softened him. We are all a product of our early years and that really never leaves us. Nice to see where he is now.

Do Not stand at My grave and weep . A poem now absolutely proved to be written by Mary Elizabeth Frye In the 1930s She was , A Lady from Baltimore .
It is read the world over at many funerals , and is noted to be one of the finest funeral poems ever written .
Although the truly amazing grave finder here is no more than a legend . and all here are more than greatful for all his work and efforts .
However this is such a poem to be read slowly with rhyme and rhythm .with great dignity and sadness .
Of course our dear gentleman was merely reading the writing of the poem on Charles and Jill,s grave.
    We thank you Sir .

My late cousin and his wife attended a wedding here in California sometime in the late 70s or early 80s and at the reception, they were seated at a table of 10. By chance, sitting across from my cousin was Charles and his wife Jill. Apparently Bronson was related to the bride or groom, I cannot remember which. My cousin said Charles didnt talk too much, but he made small talk and was somewhat friendly.
