Getting Fish And Chowder From A Shack

Hello Cruisers,
Today I went to Alava's Fish-n-Chowder located in Ketchikan, Alaska. I have been trying to go here since I flew in... but they were always sold out. I have been told that Alava's has the best Fish and Chips/Chowder in Ketchikan and I wanted to find out for myself. This fish was very good, but I don't know if I would call Alava's the best. I feel like the Chowder could have been made better, but it was not bad. The one thing I got that I really did not love were the fried oysters. Overall, I really do not understand all of the hype that Alava's has gotten.
