Without the Aura 8 what are the inherent coupling like. I know most biplane have pretty bad coupling issues. I prefer a plane to have minimal coupling.
Thanks for the question Jeffs! I haven't flown the Mamba without the Aura turned on. I don't believe it would be that bad though. The Aura is similar to the AS3X I believe it doesn't really affect the flight until the wind pushes it. Feels pretty great. 👍
Grandpa Gary, You said you fixed the fail safe problem on the Mamba 60e. How did you do that? I have mine setup with 2 satellites into the Aura and if I turn off the TX before disconnecting the flight pack the throttle goes to 0% which is 1/2 throttle...not very safe! The throttle was all the way down during the binding process. Looked at the Flex site and didn't see any info on failsafe modes
I was originally using a satellite and binding through it. I switched to a RX (I think AR6620) and put the throttle/ESC wire on the RX instead of the Aura8. That way the throttle was connected to the Spektrum fail safe. Hope that was helpful. 😀✈👍
Some good advise for Anyone. Don't ever turn any radio or receiver off UNTIL!!!! you disconnect the main battery from ESC. Had a newly built plane slam into a building when transmitter was turned off after a maiden flight. the receiver and radio were plane jane no digital adjustments maybe the esc was programable but the raido and receiver were not programable,. this was not spectrum.... But I learned a valuable lesson with little damage, but a huge scare,. The plane seemed to go full throttle when signal was lost. luckily no spectators or property was damaged, only my feelings,. it could have ended WAAAAY worse.

Did you set up Crow on the Mamba? I just bought mamba 10g1 and I've set up crow but haven't maidened it yet. What's your favorite? The FMS Pitts or the Mamba? From one Gary to another. I didn't setup crow on this Mamba but I did have it on the 10g1. I really like them equal in different ways. The Mamba lets me fly better than I really am capable and the Pitts lets me fly some impressive scale stunt plane flying. Love these two planes! ❤✈💯

I'm free to speak for sure. No connections at this time. These are both awesome but the Mamba will definitely do more aerobatics.
