Thanks SO MUCH for this reaction. Aurora, at times, can be an acquired taste. Meaning, for me, I just came across her about 9 months ago, and I'm a MetalHead. I knew "immediately" she had a voice of pure magic and gold. But, it took me a while to fully appreciate pretty much every song I've heard now. There were only a few songs at first I really liked and now, re-watching some of her full concerts, I've really come to like so much more of her music. For me, I've gravitated to her live performances like this one, and her concerts. Aurora, "for me" is an experience and not just musically. Her voice and her music are beyond comparison, yet, to get the full experience, I feel one must watch her perform live.

But on a challenge program on the norwegian public broadcast she took the bid. Aurora and her band was given notes and tekst for a popular song, They got one hour to come up with a cover. For years the first thing that popped up when you googled her was "Aurora Aksnes diagnosis" I understand that it's annoying for her. It's not important to HER what she is or isn't, and she want people to focus on her music.

Aurora is crazy.. I didn't like her at first too. I cant remember the name of the song.... Then i heard running woth wolves (you need to check that one out.).. And i started to like her. Its diffrent. Her videos are sick to.. I actually seen her in real life. I live in Norway, bergen and she walked by me in a green summerly beautiful dress holding hands with her girlfriend (i assume) i said hi and she said hi back. Looked like she ws with her girlfriend and having a good time and i diddent want to bother her that much. So i never got the picture. Olso she was crossing a crosswalk so.. But ill never forget how she looked in that dress. Absolutely beautiful. Aurora is her real name. Aurora aknes is her full name. Silje is a pretty popular girl name in Norway. And Magnus is a guys name..

@@justjulie37 Yea i actually didn't know much about her when i met her. I had heard maybe a couple og he songs. I didn't even know she was lesbian or bi. But hey good for her.. Ut it was kinda weird seing her. I dont belive in aura and that stuff but she had some sort of aura thing around her. Not colours or anything but just.. Her present.. There was something about her. And the dress she was wearing was beautiful. And i dont really give a sh*t what people wear. But it was hard to not notice.. And her girlfriend was beautiful as well. But idk who that was or if they're even togheter now..i just kinda listen to some of her music. And havent gotten that into her personal life. And her music is not necessarily what i out on, im more a hip hop head. Well i like all kinds of music but hip hop is my fav. But as im getting older and the hip hop is getting more and more worse I've been kinda moving over to different things. But now when i was thinking about it i cant remember nothing from what i did that day. But walking that crosswalk and seeing her is like imprinted in my head for some reason.. But if you get money to go to Norway someday and see her in concert. Most of the venues people play here are not that big. Unless they're superstars. So you might get to meet her. Just remember to bring alot of cash with you cause Norway is so expensive.. Its almost ridiculous.

But i think last year or the year before they changed it and you have to pay like 1700 Norwegian kroners (about 140-50$) might be more. Or if you hsve to go to thr doctors more then 4 times a moths or something. But after that its free. Also everyone under 18 gets free dentist. And school is free. U actually get payed every month to go. And they pay for most of your books. I guess we dont know hoe good we got it sometimes and just take it for granted. Im actually not working at the time and i get payed 7000 kroner (about 800 $) and they pay half my rent. 3500 kroner (400$) so i really cant complain. But everyone i met have all said they underestimated how expensive it is. But I guess when your comming from another country it is. And im kinda always thinking it is expensive but thinking about all the other things we get here its nothing. And rather have ot this way then then the other way around..
