    Are you sure you're not thinking of Jonna Jinton with the cows? She's a big kulning (cow calling) artist here on RUclips. Never seen Aurora do it...

      People think it's aurora because it is often described as the calling of the aurora borealis / northernlights
      and if people just put snappy titles on youtube like Aurora calling or something... then people think it's her.

      I thought the same thing, but I wouldn't exactly be surprised if Aurora had done something equally......unusual
      Not that that is a bad thing, by any means.

      Thanks for calling them out. Back on their bullshit of comparing singular talents to one another in an effort to compartmentalize unique voices under one superficial category. Celtic and Germanic languages are not the same. They each represent a myriad of languages/regions/ethnicities. Nordic regions include: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland. Celtic regions include: Brittany, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Isle of Man, and, possibly, some parts of present day Portugal. These are privileged people who have no reason/excuse for being ignorant. Maybe they don’t have adequate vocabulary or are too lazy to analyze her voice/intonation. Maybe they just want to say easy lazy things like her voice is “similar” to Dolores O’Riordan, Florence Welch, and Jonna Jinton. They are unique voices these four artists. Do these men have ears at all? Further than that, their musical styles and production are so different.
      Also, how nice is it that they don’t even know the proper names of the female singer’s they are lazily comparing.
      How does this vid have any views at all? I bet they couldn’t find Norway on a labeled map. The best part is they are too fucking disrespectful to even correct their case of mistaken/marginalized identity.

    I don't believe this is her first time round on this planet either, she is an 'old soul' filled with much wisdom for her age.
    Aurora has a great voice & is a gifted Artist, her lyric's are always so profound too.
    In some songs I hear bits of Bjork, even Aurora's quirkiness reminds me of the young Bjork but that's as far as their similarities go.
    Aurora has a 'techno' beat in a couple songs & her cover of Massive Attacks song 'Teardrop' is fantastic!
    Another cover she does brilliantly is called "God is a Woman", by Ariana Grande.

    No, thats Jonna jinton who is doing "kulning" From Swe. (yelling to the cows), This is AURORA from Norway, and yes, she is using our culture in her music who is Scandinavic sound... You can hear her own kulning in her music sometimes..

    I wanted to hear your take on this, but I also came here now because I'd just come from a reaction to the "Live at Current" version of this song, and I wanted to double-check that I prefer that version. Yep, I do. It's just Aurora backed by Silja Sol on acoustic guitar & harmony vocal. Aurora's performance is, to my ears, SO much more delicate and vulnerable, which expresses _this_ song better (PMHO).

    • @grogueQ
      @grogueQ 3 года назад +1

      I one hundred percent agree. This version sounds like she's singing under duress. It's much more relaxed and controlled and, like you said, delicate and vulnerable in the Current version. I love how every performance brings a different angle to the song. It's like that with all of her songs.

    Make up your mind. Either react to and comment on the artist or react to the comments being made by the people you can't see. Trying to do both is distracting from the artist's performance. Comment on the comments people have made at the end. If you are trying to introduce people to an artist they haven't seen before, all your pauses are also distracting.

    This song is about domestic abuse, and these two are neither analytic nor informed. They don't understand music for instance why she chose a 12/8 over a 6/8 when she did , I gave this example because it was important and simple to notice, how she changes from a minor to a major and many more little notes that should have been explained. These two combined have the intellect of a 12 year old. lol
