  • 10 months after hair transplant. I'm approaching one year post hair transplant!!! Can't wait! Here's my 10 month update.
    🔥 Contact Heva clinic using my link to get 10% off your gold or diamond hair transplant package: www.dentalhair...
    ❤️ Date of my transplant: 30th March 2023
    ❤️ Type of transplant: FUE Sapphire Hair Transplant
    ❤️ Satin pillowcase I sleep on post-transplant: amzn.to/46osp9x

    ❤️ Why I got the transplant: because of traction alopecia caused by a braider at the age of approx 8-10 (multiple visits to that hairstylist getting thick, heavy braids); by another braider in Nigeria (heavy, long braids) in my 20s, wearing tight wig caps in my 30s & micro-needling my edges in my 30s.

    Great to see your hair is coming almong so well. Yes, as 4c girls we need to wet our hair in between washes. Have you tried putting natural water, aloe vera gel and some tea tree oil in a spray bottle? That has always worked for me. For spritzing between wash days. I find living in a hard water area can affect hair and skin. Also product build-up can dry hair out. So maybe too many oils/mineral oil in the conditioner could be the cause? Simplifying with just one or two products maybe? Just a thought🙏🏾😊

      Thank you! Mmm- I never liked doing that as it would make my twist-outs disappear, but you're right!!! No, I haven't made a spritz inbetween wash days- I have all my natural ingredients ready but haven't gotten around to doing it! 🙈 I need to- I know. Yes, I happen to have clarified my hair last week and my hair this week seems a little better. I'll defo be checking out the hard water thing- my shower heads don't have much buildup around/on them which is a good sign, but I still think I need to look into this. You're right I think about the oils- I didn't add any avocado oil to my deep conditioner for the first time last week and my hair feels a little more moisturised this week. I also haven't been using it as a sealant this week come to think of it- interesting as my hair usually LOVES avocado oil. I'll definitely keep testing things out and monitoring- thanks so much!!!! xx

    Your TWA is beautiful!! Please wear it out :) TWAs are so pretty and super cute with hairbands.
    In terms of your hair feeling dry - I found Cantu dried my hair out and have you had the heating on a bit at home? I find that dries out my hair too.
    Please be careful with the braids x

      Thank you so much for your encouragement xxxx yes, the heating is on at home for a few hours each day. That's interesting- I didn't know that- thanks. Cantus never used to dry our my hair but maybe things change overtime. Thanks sis, I may avoid the braids for the foreseeable future since you and others keep warning me. I'll stick to the wigs- they save a bunch of time anyway... 🤗🤗🤗

    The bald spot you spoke about is from shedding, there is usually a second shedding phase that happens but then resides later, cheers m8

    Your hair looks great! You were one of my inspirations! I did my FUE in Turkey on Feb 12. I consulted with Heva (after watching your content). Ultimately, I went with another clinic to save money. I'm now 4 days post op. While my clinic was fine, now that I've been through the process, I would not have let money (about 1500 USD difference) be the deciding factor, especially since Heva offered the Sapphire FUE. Anyway, your TWA looks good! I assumed you wore it out. Are TWAs just less common for women in the UK?

      @TheWellnessAbbey  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you, Mary xx interesting. Yes, I was willing to pay over a grand more to increase my chances of getting better results. No, I was too embarrassed to especially because it wasn't cut into a style with clippers if that makes sense. I personally don't see many twas but then again I no longer go out that much, so that may be why also! 😅

      @SoulandScriptures There is another UK sista named Miriam' s Lifestyle who shaved all of her hair after her transplant. I think she went to Heva as well. She rocks a twa too. I personally think it looks great on you! Check out sis channel.

    Do you have any regrets for getting a hair transplant? Is there anything you would have done differently?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  7 месяцев назад +2

      Nope. Started using the saline water on my scalp earlier and started taking vitamins earlier. Also that I didn't use the shampoo from the clinic as long as I did as it really dried my hair out.

    • @maryoh761
      @maryoh761 6 месяцев назад

      Did you use the saline water for itchiness or is there another reason?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey

      Yes, itchiness and dryness!!! They were intense!

    Hi looks Good.. any vitamins to take after the hair transplant?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you, Steven. I take the ones I list in the description box, but Heva have their own vitamins that they encourage people to buy following their transplants. I think vitamins are a must personally.

    • @stevenphiladelphia7160
      @stevenphiladelphia7160 7 месяцев назад

      @@TheWellnessAbbey yes because I did mine at Alpha but they're vitamins cost a lot around 300 dollars i told them nope. So I was wondering if I can get similar products with low prices

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, the clinics do overprice their aftercare vitamins and packages. It's a shame, really. I personally think store bought ones are fine.

    Do you think the bald spot was linked to the braids?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey

      I doubt it as I didn't braid that area. Do you think so?

    I’m going on month six and I’m seeing minimal hair growth. Very thin. I went to Heva clinic as well. Should I have Hair at this point?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  7 месяцев назад

      Hey! When you sent them your photos, what did they say? (As I'm not the professional- they are- and I know different people have different growth rates/speeds).

      Some of us have a slower process. This ladies results is way way ahead of 90% of everyone else. Most people I watch online get her month 6 results in month 12. So don't worry, just drink water and take your vitamins and it will come. Give it 18 months.
      I'm month 10 like her and my hair still has 50% of the follicles still not appeared above the scalp. But I see results. Its very individual. It will come.
