      A good Idea would be to make a bixby Hub screen on the other side. Only a front facing camera but instead of Downgrading the front camera like normal, they make it a nice quality camera like most backside cams. Access selfies from the front and regular pictures on the back screen. The phone should also have sensors to indicate when you've flipped your phone around and away from your face to auto launcher the camera on the other side while already in the camera app. I would expect other basic functions such as a calender, bixby routines, Samsung FREE, and maybe even galaxy store all on the backside. I'll share with my tech enthusiasts if you share this with yours. 😁👍

      Nah, what’s next is wearable tech, THEN internal usage of phones/tech. Like Google Glass, Apple has been rumored to be creating their own version for years.
      Elon has talked about chip implants 😳
      It’ll become like that Black Mirror episode where your eyes are literally it’s own screen OR like the movie with Joaquin Phoenix called Her.

    Jesus... Why do some people think that if something is in a sci-fi movie where it is something a designer came up with - then this is what people want?! I have seen these transparent screens in movies for I think 20 years now? And I am always like "what? why? why would I ever want this? If I am on my phone then 90% of the time it is my private time, I do not want anyone to see what I am doing. So Samsung thinks - no! Of course, you want that cool thing that you can never use in a way others would not see what you are doing there! You must like it! :D come on... this technology is cool, but it is a joke, it is useless...

    They say Glasses will replace smartphones entirely by 2030 so I'm wondering if this tech will be the next glass lense, just shrunken down in size ofc

    • @kiwiluiz
      @kiwiluiz 2 года назад +2

      Who says that? And not everyone wants to even wear glasses so how does that make sense. It is way more likely that other wearables like watches will take over as more people are willing to wear them and it’s more realisable

    • @wisgarus
      @wisgarus Год назад +1

      @@kiwiluiz I mean it only makes sense. A pair of AR glasses allows for far more than a phone, and definitely far more than a watch, and you can seamlessly go between utilizing any of the features and doing anything physical without putting away or pulling out a black rectangle

      @@lord_haven1114 It depends. At the moment AR capability, while already used in some enterprise settings, is still quite limited. Once it is able to do more in a more regular glasses-esque form factor, it will definitely become more widespread. Tho who knows if it will be able to compete with smartphones. It is more likely gonna be something more like smart watches: extremely popular, but on a more niche level than the smartphone

      I think the phones outer glass shell somehow bends the light from the back and out the front. Sorta like a curved mirror would, but does this with little or no distortion. This cases the illusion of transparency. The phone's internals are still there; hidden by the glass outer shell.

Tell me one thing, if this phone has a transparent display then where the other components such as SoC, battery, image processing sensor is going to be installed?, Will there be a nice big chin and big bezels, how the speakers are going to be hypothetically? Because by compromising size and weight the bass response should roll off. That's all . And I am not going to buy this thing because I don't think that it's going to be launched in India also I won't be having that much money. Haha.

    • @TheEpicLinkFreeman

      It seems a lot of people don't realize what the inside of a phone actually looks like or contains. You probably wouldn't even be able to fit that Snapdragon 888 inside the chin they show in the renders. Much less alongside the USB C port, the speaker, and the camera that you can clearly see taking up space on that bezel. Then you still need to stick a battery somewhere. You could stick in a smartwatch battery or like what wireless earbuds use, but you would get maybe 30 minutes of battery life out of a battery that size.

      @jgujyy Год назад +10

      There's no need to be confused bro.
      I'll briefly summarize it for you: Actually, nothing is transparent (except the screen), everything is where you see the Samsung logo.
      That place projects the image into the glass like a projection machine, and a camera sensor there detects where it is touched. Also, I don't know how the 8,500 mAh battery fit in, but most likely Samsung used a transparent battery. (I hope I could help.)

    Hi,
    I would definetly buy a Transparent Phone. After all we live in the 21st century and this type of tech should have been in use a decade ago. Reason for purchase - as I am not a smartphone junky I prefer to have something different, yet sci-fi-ish than the typical box. I do not care if it runs the latest money grab Android game, I have a PC for gaming, and I care not that much for 99% of the social media, but I do care about looks, portability, battery life when online, access to apps I use on the PC (expl.: Discord) and storage. The last one is always a good thing to have for my music (probably tels how old I am), because I use it a BT-connector to my big BT-speakers from Edifier while I am in music mode.

    The concept is catching, but there are not enough specifications available to make a decision.
    Will there be a note version?
    Is wireless charging still available and not only in the bulky thing where the phone floats in space?
    What is the quality of foto's where 4 camera's are being replaced by one?
    Is there a way to turn transparicy off when needed?
    Is the only case that keeps full functionality available a bumper?
    What will it cost, since some Nano Technology must be involved?
    Etc. Etc...

      Your phone only uses 1 of those 4 cameras at a time to take photos, unless you are shooting in 3D. It's just that each camera is better at slightly different scenarios, so your phone switches between them based on what you're doing. For example, one lens might be used when at zoom levels .5x-1x, another from 1x-2x, and another from 2x-10x, with a fourth for a macro mode. Presumably if they went to 1 lens it would be a wider perspective lens with digital zoom.

    4 issues :
    - lisibility is a huge issue. You can't read well, and everybody else can see, so no privacy.
    - AR? Reliably setting virual objects in your environment through the transparent screen would only work at a specific view angle, so it's a straight downgrade from AR through conventional cameras
    - what of the battery? It covers easily 33% or more of the surface of the device and as far as I know, this won't be transparent any time soon.
    - I don't think anybody here realises how jampacked with various electronics modern phones are. These aren't stuff you can easily make transparent.
    Transparent screens are a terrible idea. Not in a harmful way, it's just useless. Cool looking as SFX, sure, but that's about it
