  • In this video I show my reaction to the next generation Nissan Z digital unveil at the Nissan Pavilion in Yokohama Japan. The "400Z" draws inspiration from the 240Z and 300ZX models, with a much more sleek and updated design. This Proto Z, though not finished, very closely resembles what the next Z-Car will look like, sporting updated features including an all-digital dash display and an updated infotainment system with backup cameras as standard. More information on this new model to come in the following months!

I am hoping to get one day 1! 😍 I do hope they refine the front grill but other than that, I love it!

Are you gonna sell your 370? Or you have the space for both cars?

The grille was really jarring to me the first time i saw it but i'm already used to how it looks. its unique and it suits the car its on

I have gotten more used to it but still hoping for a redesign.

If you look at the interior shots, the gauge on the far left says “Boost”. 😍😍😍

I like 99% of the car, I think it's a good step forward, I don't mind the same door handles as they are a bit in financial problems so I expected some old with the new, as far as interior, the pretty much solved my gripes. As far as exterior, the only problem I have with the front bumper is that it seems to have to much unused real estate up there, maybe put some vents on the sides with some fog lights. I'm sure there will be plenty of aftermarket alternatives to be had in the future.

I was waiting for this announcement before starting my build, glad I did but im still going for a 370z, 18k for one that's pretty well new and extra money saved for mods is a win win 👌 I think the vq37 is a fine engine and can pump out great numbers just fine. Plus it sounds the best imo

I would have to see it in person to get the full effect

Like you said the 400 don’t follow the history or the numbers. I think it will just be called the Z, like the Skyline GTR is called just GTR. What do you think?

I am talking about this in the video I am trying to push out later today. I think it will just be called the Z!

Love the new Z! The nose is the least liked but Im sure thats going to change, ie final production foglights, drls, Nismo model, etc. The rear will look dope with the right rear spoiler...I'm leaning towards a 1 or 3pc 280z style spoiler. Im also REALLY hoping to see a t-top option like the 300Zs had. Looking forward to PDI'ing them when they hit the dealership. :)

Yep, the front end is my only reservation too but as is I think this car looks great! Already got myself on the mailing list for the launch event in my town when they finally get a hold of one of the cars, hopefully next year. I want one so bad! 😍

Not a fan of the taillights or interior dash and controls. The 370 still looks better.

Personally I like the 370z more then the “400z”. The way the front & rear fenders flow into the head/tail light is so stylish compared to the 400z. Huge fan of the power train and the digital cluster gauge of the 400 though!

    >shits on square cutout on front which is made for more air intake to go to custom rad, oil cooler and radiator setups for the aftermarket that loves these cars
    >posts a video talking about how his Z gets too hot and how he needs better cooling solutions.
    Yikes.

Not a big fan of the front fascia and tail lights. Huge huge fan of the twin turbo v6 and 6 piston front brakes and 4 piston rear brakes

I am hoping they fix that front end, it's laughable.

Not saying it's a bad looking car, but I think I would just preferred the 370z with that updated interior instead. As it stands now.
