Thanks Andrew, wouldn’t have been able to do a tire change myself with this excellent video. Changing the tires on the Bronco today. Lots of challenges with the front end. Turning into a two day job 😬

You guys work well together. And I like this type of video. Most people don’t realize what it takes to change a tire. Super useful ✊🏼😎

Seems like minimotors is the only company that can design a scooter that uses a split rim properly☹

I'd like to add that checking the inside edges of the rim for any dings or sharp edges that might damage the tube is a good idea.

Couple things you should have mentioned. One, when you hook power back up expect quite a pop/seems normal. Also there are two battery connections. One for each controller. Also make sure you stiffin the rear shock enough or it will hit rear tire as they aren’t flat across top like the stock nobbys.

I wish I had this on my scoot. My rims are one piece and on my last ride, I got a flat and hit a rock. This bent and cracked the rim and now it won't hold air. I'll never go tubeless again.

Hi. I was using 3x 10 pneumatic tyres with split rims. I bought 3 x 10 solid tyres but were to wide. Can i fit 2.25 solid tyres on plit rims designed for 3inch rims. Thanks

Would you happen to know what size inner tube I'll need for my Currus NF Plus stock tire, & where I can get it from?

When tightening the 5 bolts on the one side of the split rims how tight did you do them? Should I be using an Allen key to using a fair bit of force of just doing it till it just about stops or maybe a tourq setting ?

Spin them until they stop, then one more little TUG
you don't need them to be super duper tight. The lock shit will take care of the rest.
Always use a REALLY high quality bit to. Invest in it.
Don't use some cheap bit, increases chances of stripping.

Great Video! Did you say that 110/50 6.5 size tire fits on the 11X rim?

If you have a stripped bolt on a motor and can't get the spilt rim apart to change flat or tire. Can I just do it the old fashion way and take off the tire like on a bicycle or a dirt bike tire? And then reinstall it the same way?

very nice video. only 2 comments.1) use a little soap on the edges of the tire. the tire will fit better on the rim.2)balance the wheels.because apparently there were a lot of vibrations visible.this is very important especially at high speed.

I stopped by to see how to crack the hex heads on the split rim? I cant crack them and have no idea how.

I feel like a split rim would make putting solid tires onto the scooter allot easier than one that isn't.

Instead of buying these tiny individual packs of shrink tubes, go to an electronics part store, and get a long tube. it's like a dollar for 5' of tube. You can easily buy 2-3 different sizes, in 2-3 different colors, for under 10$, and you will have shrink tubes for years! Plus, no plastic packaging for 6 inches of shrink tube, which is a crime imho

Just take off the disc rotor. It only takes a few minutes with a power tool. This saves you from having to disconnect wires. This shouldn't be a hard, time consuming job. You should only be changing tires, not performing minor electrical surgery, lol.
