If she had of done this as her debut single instead of boyz, she might've hit it off as a solo artist.
Well, most likely the record label would not have approved of her debuting with this song because it is not catchy enough. She probably submitted multiple ideas and Boyz was greenlighted and then funded by the company.

This is the jesy i fell in love with years ago, she doesn’t need sexy clothes, luxurious dance move yet she captures your heart and soul with her mere talent, soulful voice and her emotions behind the vocals.
An acapella Jesy album would be 👌. Her deeper tones are just as effective and emotion filled; I certainly wouldn't mind more of that. I'm very glad she came back with this part of who she is and I appreciate the vulnerability it takes.
