- Harry Potter is a series I never got to watch fully not even a full movie as far as I remember. Let me tell you that the first movie excites me for what's to come.

I hope you all enjoyed this reaction. Also, I want to say it took a lot of effort to avoid copyright for this one so liking or commenting on the video would be hugely appreciated. Actually, Harry did make the glass disappear at the zoo. Most wizards/witches can’t control their powers at such a young age and can have bursts of magic when they’re under emotional stress. That’s why they typically use wands as a way of controlling and properly channeling their magic.

You remember the scenes correctly. This is not the worst but not the best. The movies start to get progressively darker as they go along ( PS Harry is Daniel Radcliffe and Ron is Rupert Grint)

You're right. The style of the movies changes. There are different directors and it changes the presentation.
It's one school year per movie/book. It follows the age of our trio. I remember even the language changes when they, and the supposed reader, grow older. It's quite a ride.
I guess I will discover a lot through the movies :)

I always forget about the lizard-cam (or whatever you call it) and don't always notice it immediately until I see movement. Beautiful animal!

Thanks for the reaction! Ron has to stay on the piece: to do otherwise would count as a move, and not the one needed to win.

@@TobgiReacts you kept saying that Ron should just get off the horse so he wouldn't get hurt, but you have to think of Ron and the horse as the complete chess piece: one can't move without the other. If he had tried to get out of the way, it would have counted as an illegal move (literally meaning a piece that tries to move in a way not designated by the rules) and they might have immediately lost the game as a consequence.

1:51 Yk, true story: when watching this for the VERY *first* time when the Dursleys were being so awful, my dad sarcastically was all like, "Well, I like them already."
I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing, I can't tell.

You should see the reproduction of Diagon Alley and Hogwarts at Universal Orlando. It's amazing.
In the book Ron wasn't on the chess piece. He was on his feet and the queen smashed him over the head with her arm. Somehow that was apparently not appropriate fir a movie but having Harry kill Quirrell (which didn't happen that way) was just fine. Quirrell died after Voldemort left his body because he was too weak to survive without his possession. Harry did not disintegrate him with his touch. 🙄
I see, if I am not mistaken it's not the first time in general movies don't follow the book. Regardless, I had a good time watching this.
@@TobgiReacts oh it's normal for there to be changes in adaptations because there's no way to fit everything in but changing characters so that they're very different from the book character should not be acceptable. Also leaving out or changing certain aspects of the story but keeping in a line of dialogue relating to it just leads to confusion fir the viewer. So does inconsistency.

When JK Rowling (the British author of the Harry Potter books) first wrote the first book of this series she named it Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Back in medieval times in Great Britain a sorcerer was known as a philosopher. When the book was about to be released in the US the publishing company was afraid that no one in America would understand what a philosopher was. So they changed the name of the first book to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. As a result of the two different titles when the first movie was made it had a different title in the UK than it did for the UnitedStates. Even while they were filming it every actor that had to say the name of the stone had to say both ways. Once for the American version of the movie and once for the United Kingdom version.
