Phenomenal adventure, I'm sitting here alone laughing in my living room in Arizona...what a delightful, educational video! You are really finding your groove, Wallace!!!!!!
Watching this video made my heart so happy! Camping, fossil hunting, family, diving, boating! Bless all of you for helping out and bringing him a motor. Truly Wallace, you have an amazing life. I might be willing to pay 12.00 for a gallon of water after all. 😂
Wallace I’m glad I’ve found your page. I’m involved with a mission group called Lightshine Alaska and we sent a team to Gambell to work on an old church building this past year and have a team coming this year also. Unfortunately I won’t be able to come this time but maybe next year. Enjoy your content and very good quality Would love to meet your family. God Bless
If I can ask...what do you do with the walrus tusks, the ivory? Do you carve it, sell it, trade it, .all the above ? Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure
From the far north of NZ, where we have no idea of what real cold is! On our coldest "winter" day, you people would likely over-heat and feel uncomfortable! And there you are, motoring long distances in an open boat with not even a wind shield! Top marks for your fitness and resilience.
Yeah we don’t do particularly well in the heat! Our average summer temperature is 50°F / 10°C. We were bundled up with a few layers on the trip down in the boat. Thanks for watching!
What a relaxing way to live your life! What is the value of walrus tusk in those 31 pieces? It was a lot of work! Also, do you guys have a storage of fuel at the cabin or how do you keep enough gas to be able to drive an extra three hours to rescue someone and still get back to the main home?
Great questions! The fossil ivory can sell from a range of $125-$200 per pound depending on the color and condition of the ivory. For the gas, Wiyu’s family has a cabin on the southeast end of St. Lawrence Island. He had dropped off a barrel of gas over the winter by snowmachine. We made a stop on the way to pick up some gas on this trip. We also usually take a little extra each trip and leave what we can for the next summer.
Mother Earth and Nature are miracles. I love your videos!!! ❤

We do all 3. Carve different things to sell, or sell as is. Thanks for watching!
Great video again! Keep up the good work you're doing. I am from the Faroe Islands, but live in Bergen Norway. Have a great day🙂
Wow! Norway is a place on my bucket list to visit. Thanks for watching!
I really like Faroe Islands.

Good times brother!!!
Looking forward to the next trip!
Man I missed hearing that laugh @12:30 :D
😄😄😄
Love it Wall!! What do you guys do with the fossilized walrus tusk?
We’ll either sell them as is, carve, or make jewelry. I made Clayton and Chloe’s cribbage board out of one of these that we found this trip!
@@WallaceUngwilukwill support you wall
I didn’t know there was ice over there in JUNE
The ice stuck around on the northeast end of the island for a while!
Could you make a good living looking for ivory?
@@KEVIN11534 I wouldn’t say it’s a good living but it definitely helps cover costs for a few months!
Should let me try carve some of your ivory
I can't help but wonder: what do you guys do with the fossils you find?
Darn I’d never be able to date you, you’d die with me In Phoenix AZ….. it’s 81 today and it’s Dec 6th….
I definitely do not do well in hot environments. I had a layover in Phoenix in August and it was 100 and I was struggling!
Не плохо и интересно.
How was it in punguk island?
We had a blast!
