Sure glad you did both! That’s my issue with varying stores. Some include a bag for storing, while one I got, didn’t have the bag. One must pay close attention to model numbers.it’s hard to trust reviews mainly because of that issue. I wouldn’t necessarily pin it on the reviewer, maybe they didn’t realize it either. Surely the stores should know. Maybe they are ripping us off on purpose? Thankful for Just A Dad! 👍
@@robertbutler8004 No, they're not. Walmart's been forcing manufacturers to make lesser versions of their products specifically for Walmart just so that they'll sell those manufacturers' products instore. Walmart has the sales volume to leverage that, and companies have went under just from losing sales when Walmart dropped them, like Rubbermaid (the name got bought out, the new parent company plays ball)
I've found at least 6 different model numbers, each with different combination of accessories/features/batteries. Very anti-consumer! Thanks for bringing attention to this!
The blue brush roll is from the Vertex the main brush behind the soft roll. The plush velvet part of the roll allows Shark to keep a wide open front for debris where no plush roll or on the roll they have to make breaks in front to prevent suction loss. That walmart vacuum would be exactly the same with a soft roll in front of it, like the Vertex but alone it's just like any other vacuum, they have to vent the front to keep suction loss to a minimum. With EVERY vacuum it's all about the head design. You can create a vacuum to suck the dust off the moon, but if the head design is like that, you're losing suction - period. Which means more vacuuming for longer, less battery life. If you're single, no animals and rarely home - the Walmart version will do you just fine. If you're any thing else... get the Shark site vacuum, stock up on filters, brush roll, and batteries at time of purchase They don't keep those makes and models around as long as they used to. If this thing has a motorized pet tool, get it. I've been buying Sharks for over 15 years now and that strategy has never failed me. Was a Dyson fan before that but Sharks dual brush roll was a game change in vacuum industry. It helped control the power(suction) so you don't have to stop and change heads. Dyson you do or you'll ruin your throw rugs. Uncontrolled suction power is as useless as none. Can't tell you how many throw rugs Dysons ruined with my cleaning business and personal... talk about expensive!!! Bells and whistles are nice but since Dyson first reinvented the suction design, pretty much everyone has a well. Now it's just a race to see who can create the most convenient vacuum with all that power. So far, Shark still has the lead. Changing heads is out dated, Dyson is going to have to do something completely new without copying sharks fuzzy roll add on to complete and lighten their load. Ugh they are heavy!!
Awesome comparison. To make it even more complicated the Costco version in Canada no longer has that odour pod thing the auto empty has a heap filter the sleep button is moved to close where it docks. The battery is 3750 mah 18v 67.5 wh. The wand has a feature to bend so it can easily go under furniture. It comes with blue head instead of that cool purple one. It has the nice copper colour like the non Walmart one. They must have so many variations. All of them seem to have flaw with the little triangle piece in the canister that fills with dirt. Only way to get dirt out so far is to use compressed air but I’m not sure that will always work… Really loved your video and comparison. Thanks for the great content I’ve subbed and liked your awesome vid.
This is much more of a Walmart issue. If you're a large company that makes everyday products, like vacuums, Walmart makes too significant a percentage of your sales to ignore. Walmart also has a strong tendency to go to manufacturers and say "make a cheaper version of your product for us that looks like the expensive version, or we won't carry any of your products."
@@reaperreaper5098 They do that with appliance companies Sears use to do it, a company would make them the same appliance and they would just put there name on it its happening with many things.
I never buy appliances (or anything if I can avoid it) from Walmart. Walmart has very aggressive negotiators with their vendors to maintain their price advantage/margins and that often means cut corners (and often not noticeable like the color differences here). Maybe marginal differences at times, sometimes serious, but for the usually trivial price differences, its a hard pass.
Thank you for your helpful video, this actually just saved me some money and kept me from buying the wrong one at Walmart which is currently more expensive than the original one on the shark website.
Bought one with from Best Buy, for context we have 60-40 carpet to floor and it just didn’t clean, we passed the shark first, it was light and felt good. However it was obviously dirty. We passed out $120 Hoover vacuum which were getting rid cuz it doesn’t pull it pulled more from the carpets then the shark did. We just got Dyson instead it’s way better for roughly the same price
The worst thing about the 3120C here in Canada is that you cannot find a correct Replacement pre-motor filter if your life depended on it. I have been looking for 3 months now. There are many sellers advertising (ex. Amazon), that state their filter fits all 3120 models but every time I order, I get a filter that is bigger than mine. Even Shark's website doesn't sell this here anymore. I feel like Shark let me down.
The Dust Bin Full indicator will illuminate when the dust bin is full of debris and needs to be emptied. To reset the indicator, removethe dust bin and empty it.
Wow I was at the store and they only had the purple one on the shelves, but I asked an associate to get the rose gold one from the back-store, I did not realize that there was this much difference!
I just ordered a Stratos Cordless from Walmart for about $200 cheaper than other stores and its missing some features like the LED display and the odor cartridge. Weird they make it the same name and omit stuff like this. Hoping it works out.
It’s not about getting it from Walmart those are 2 different vacuums one is the detect pro one is the pet version that’s why the brush instead of the foam thing it’s for pet hair they have both versions at my Walmart actually they have 4 models of detect pro the one with the hybrid roller is the most expensive I got that exact vacuum at Walmart but they did also have the other pet version you have there as well as multiple other shark versions
3000Series Bought: Costco Winch, Va 11/11/2023 IW 3615 T $319.99 Model# XBTR625KSL S/N 522SA 1112 HOF6 Kinda hoping for even lower in price but maybe around Christmas time? I really needed one like this. Have used for floor a few times. Not the attachments yet. It really does suck the contents down into the bigger bin. For us, with 2 dogs (both shed esp the Shib/Shep mix), then spouse and me with hair and food crumbs. I haven’t had to empty big bin yet tho spouse is wanting me to. I just wanted to see when I would get that light lit. There was a crevice and another in the box. I’m sure to use in the near future. Maybe somebody else will get in soon to add?
Great video Dad! Lol. Thought I'd add additional info to your video, I too have the purple version which came from home Depot in case anyone is shopping locally. I guess I lucked out having not seen this difference issue. So far I've been very pleased with mine, I've had a few small hiccups with it but overall it's a great little machine. Curious though, what's the cord running up to the Walmart version? PS always check the front door after lifting it from the base, mine sometimes remains partly open causing a small loss of suction. I'm talking about the very front end door that releases the dirt when set on the charger base. Theres a small bevel on the base that pushes the button unlocking the door. Thanks!
In Germany we have the version with a flex adapter for hard-to-reach places. This adapter makes it very unstable. it looks like it could break at any moment. I don't know if you can leave out the adapter, but if not I'll buy a dyson
I just bought one from canadian tire and they give me the walmart version but it was on sale for $450 the other one with purple brush is $599. do you think the sale is worth it? or should I just return it and get the $599 one?
If you need, you can use T10 Security Torx to remove the extra plastic that blocks big chunks on the Walmart version. I might look to buy a purple replacement roller at some point since they fit, but so far the blue roller seems to get the job done well enough.
Two weeks back I bought the blue one as that was on sale at Canadian Tire for $399, down from $550. The only difference between the blue and purple was the light detect feature as indicated on the box and I thought I did not really need this feature. The very next day , I saw this review, and luckily last week the purple one went on sale for $399, down from $600. Had it not been for this review, I would most likely have kept the blue one .

I got a Cuisinart coffee maker from Walmart. It lasted 4 years. My old one from Macy's lasted 10. I don't buy any appliances from Walmart anymore.
Thank you so much for your reviews. I was going back forth with vacuum cleaners, just too many versions and different from one to other.
Glad I could help!

The quad clean is a more premium floorhead with better hard floor and carpet dual use. The powerfins is better for carpets and not hard floors.
