    I wish it made sense to send a $1,300 amp from the US to Germany for these mods, but it doesn't. I'm sure Friedman and others could do it though. Sounds incredible, Eddy.
    One thing isn't clear, however. When you put the 34 and 36 together with a /, it makes it appear this is ONE mod, not two separate ones. Technically, you should say, #34 and #36 mods. People who don't understand amp mods may think 34/36 is just one mod. Just saying.
    Having talked to someone else about these mods, I think you can no longer jumper the two channels. And the new knob in the low Normal socket is a Master Volume. Is that correct?
    In the video, you are plugged into the upper Normal input. Are the High Treble inputs still functional?
    One more thing: If you wanted to make money on your work, from overseas customers, you could put together a kit with instructions. I say that because below you state that the 36 has your own 'twist' on it, so it's kind of proprietary in that way. Some of us would love to buy a kit like that. You do awesome work - good enough to tap into overseas customers, I think. Great playing too, BTW.

    • @EddyLenz
      @EddyLenz  4 месяца назад

      Thanks! Yeah, it really isn't economical to ship these amps both ways... Yes, it's two different mods but combined into one package. Offering instruction kits isn't something I would ever do because it doesn't make much sense, since you'd still be able to implement the mod safely and if that is the case, just a schematic would be enough for you.
      This mod basically changed the preamp to a JCM800 style one, with #36 adding another tube gain stage. This means that there's only one working input and a standard master volume. With #36 there are 2 gain controls, the standard JCM800 one that is also active in #34 and then a 2nd one that is right before the added #36 gain stage.

    • @hootowl6354
      @hootowl6354 4 месяца назад

      @@EddyLenz Aha. Thanks. So, if someone wanted to, they could use the two High Treble holes for something else, like something that needed a switch.
      You're basically turning the Plexi into a JCM, since four holes and jumpering is a key feature of the plexi's.
      Does that mean the High Treble Loudness 1 control is not functioning? And that the Normal Loudness 2 is the pre-amp control?
      If that's the case, why not just mod a JCM?

    • @EddyLenz
      @EddyLenz  4 месяца назад

      @@hootowl6354 Yeah, you could use the one unused input for something else. With this one, loudness 1 is the master and 2 is the #36 gain control and the added pot is the overall gain control. It's just about looks. Some people prefer the look of the Plexis.

    • @hootowl6354
      @hootowl6354 4 месяца назад

      @@EddyLenz Yeah, I think the Plexi looks the best. I'm still kicking myself I didn't buy a white one. Damn. But hey, with the recent price drop in the US, they're now about five hundred less.
