We arrive in Thailand on 25th January! One night at the quirky Shanghai Mansion in China town, then fly to Samui for two nights. We always stay at Samui Pier Resort because it's next to the Pier for the Haadrin Queen ferry. Then its 3 weeks travelling around Koh Phangan before flying home to UK!

What a great list, some more for me to visit next time! Doi Chang has been my favourite so far on my current trip. Chiang Mai as always was great too but the drive from Doi Mae Salong to Doi Chang was amazing (and scary haha) plus the views from up in the mountain were incredible.
We still haven't been to Doi Chang so will for sure add that to the list for next year! Did you have some locally grown coffee there?
@@FloraandNote yep the coffee there is so good! We went to the Doi Chang coffee plant and cafe too which is a good stop. We stayed at Mulazu cafe and the lady that runs the kitchen was super nice, definately recommend. We went to Chiang Dao after (and coincidentally stayed at the same place you guys did). Soon I will be back to living Thailand through your videos again 😢 thanks for all the tips as it has helped our trip be so great!! 🙏

We're so glad it's helpful for your trip planning! We wouldn't recommend the North (like Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai etc) because it's smokey season and the air quality is terrible until after mid April.

Before 40 years Koh Samui was a very nice island ! In these days Koh Samui is only a tourist island and nothing more !
Do you reccomend Chiang Mai in the begining of march?
It might be smokey and dry in March.. mid-April near Songkran is a great time to visit though.
My wife and I are long-time fans and followers of your channel. I am a Thai American, retired, living in the U S. We are planning a family trip/vacation to Thailand next year maybe in June, with our grown children and grandchildren. Since you are now Koh Samui residents, could you be kind to provide us with recommended places to stay in Koh Samui. Our group will include 8 adults and 5 children from the US for 4 or 5 nights, together with 4 to 6 adults from Thailand south for maybe 2 nights. Would love the places on or close to the beach with a swim pool. We are also thinking about maybe staying a night or two on Koh Tao. Thank you very much! ขอบคุณมากครับ

I visited Koh Samui in April and plan to move to Koh Samui in July. I am coming alone. I am 71, in excellent health, and have a good income. Where might you recommend that I get a long-term rental (year or more)? I prefer to walk rather than drive. Will use "public" transportation. Right now, I am reserved for one month in a 1 bedroom apartment in Bophut/Fisherman's Village so I can see prospective long-term rentals before making a decision. I want to make sure the place I rent and the area around it are a good fit for me. I would appreciate any recommendations you have ;-) Thanks!!

I think Chiang Mai is probably most affordable and have the comfort and convenience most people look for..but of course moving further away from the big cities you'll get even more value for your money.
What are the names of the two smaller villages near Chiang Mai? I heard you say them but I don’t know how to spell them😊

Oahu is more of a city and alot of sight seeing.
Big Island is more sight seeing and right now Mauna Loa which was sleeping just erupted and alot of tourist started coming down. Now it's been restricted from seeing it because it started getting closer to the highway.
