Omg. my daughter when she was around 3-5 she loved calico critters and she would collect them. She’s got a huge collection. Shes now 15 and we saved them for her. So when she’s older and ready she can have them.

My kids were obsessed with Calico Critters. We used stacked old wine boxes to make houses, with fancy scaprbook paper to make marble looking walls. Paired with some homemade furnishings and a few sets of wooden doll house furniture it was so cute. Now my youngest is into Barbie so the critters have been put away 🥹 but I miss them and think about making a little corner where I can set up their houses because I love dollhouses and cute little figures so much, very calming.

She’s 4 and plays with it nonstop when I take her to the toy store. My oldest daughter that will b 25 tomorrow loves to buy her little sister Calico Critters too. I’m so grateful bc we want them all. Lol! Thanks for sharing that. I suffer from depression & anxiety too & I understand how hard it can b. I’m so happy that you’ve found something that brings u joy.
