    You're the man, Rocco! Your videos are the most helpful on RUclips. No unnecessary small talk, no talking down to the viewers, none of that. You are a real guy who knows his stuff. There are lots of people who know their stuff. But you have a gift with sharing your knowledge without a trace of "look how smart I am". Your videos are just as good for a total mechanical beginner as they are for old hands at mechanics, but new to Harley Davidsons. Thanks for your content. It is deeply appreciated.

    Recently picked up a 96 xlh 1200 that’s in definite need of some love. I’m new to wrenching in my own bike and content like this helps me make sure it gets it. Thanks to TIFF channel I’ll be doing fluids, plugs, replacing the air for & assembly, carb inspection/cleaning, and a bar swap. Someone along the way pulled off all the signals, switches and speedo is there an easy way to rewire these or should i just grab a new harness and start from scratch?

    I have a dumb question.....mm
    Is it possible to jump a tooth if the chain is loose and mess up the timing???

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  Год назад

      Happy to help. Your timing is done by a direct drive gear on the throttle side of your bike under that cam cover where your oil pump is. your primary chain has nothing to do with timing.and couldn't happen If it was that loose it would be such a chatty, noisy problem that you would pick up on it and that's the primary chain. If not the chain you need to figure out if its coming from the front or back of primary. how many miles on bike?

      Just took it down the road and to me it sounds like it’s coming from the back.

    I have a 07 XL883C custom I hear noise from thr primary area sounds like a tiking noise could this be the issue? I've been trying to get in touch with my local harley dealership but they are busy until next month! If anyone has any idea about what it could be that would be much appreciated. Thanks

      I think it is a wast of money and not needed. I adjust or should I say check every 5,000 miles when I do a primary oil change. Thank you for your Sub Mike. Hope this helped. Ride Safe and have a great day.

      @@danj7112 You will see a wrench in your tool kit to adjust it. Look at the back of your shocks and you'll see there's different levels. Do you need to adjust them, that's up to you that's your comfort level and make it stiff or softer. Thank you for all your support Dan. rides safe and have a great day.

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  2 года назад

      Happy to help, if you're going to adjust it in one spot no. It is better to rotate the back tire put it in fifth remove the plugs and the rotate easily to three spots on the chain and do the adjustment at the tightest spot.. Thank you for watching and your Sub Michael.. Ride Safe and Have a Great Day.

      I use a TV as my monitor so I just cranked that shit up lol. Thanks for the video, it helps a lot to actually see it. For the record though, my owners manual says 3/8" to 1/2" if the engine is cold, so yours was probably okay before you adjusted it.
