Great product. Got mine put on yesterday. I do most of my driving at night for work. These things are way brighter than you can tell in the video. Took me roughly 2 hours to install by myself. Thanks for the video
After several month's having these lights. I have never installed them until today. They look good but have a very small issue. One of the leds double face tape isn't sticking on the upper tip area. The area has been cleaned very well. I will be trying a few things to help. May have to renew the double side tape with 3m auto extreme tape if I have to. Also when I finished the install. The same led light didn't want to stay on. The turn signal worked but it wasn't staying on. I fixed that issue by making sure the wire was plugged in all the way. I must say though. These lights with the amber lights do bring out my ryker more. The brightness of these lights are amazing. I love them. Thanks guys. Next step is finding vinyl wrap for my ryker. The florida sun is toasting the hell out of my fenders....lol.
FYI for those doing this install. My Ryker 900 wiring of front lights was tucked into the fender and didn't allow me to pull them out enough to disconnect. I had to use a small screwdriver from underside of fender to hit the disconnect on the harness. After the lights were out of the fender i was able to pull the wiring thru the fender side to get more slack on it. If you pull to hard on the lights to get them out far enough to disconnect them you run the risk of breaking them like i did. My wiring pulled out of the harness on one side. I was able to put it back together but i got lucky with minimal damage.
This just happened to me today while installing the harness extensions for more less and lighting, idk what I can do now because it pulled out completely. My boyfriend is trying to get it figured out for me. My right side fender did perfect and works great with the new headlight but my left side pulled the pins out 😢
@@haleymoonan1323 did your wires pull out of the metal terminals or did the terminals pull out of the plastic connectors? It's been a while so I'm trying to remember your options. You can try getting a cheap soldering iron and connecting the wires back to the terminals. Might require stripping more of the wire to get metal on metal connection. If the terminals pulled out of the plastic like mine you can shove them back in all the way so the make connection with the other plug and super glue them in from the backside or just to wrapping with electrical tape.
Installed mine today and I want to give some update/clarification. I have a late 2020 rally. After removing the fender there's a zip tie that holds the wire to the fender very tightly and very short. You're going to want to cut that to get some room to work, just replace later. I laid a towel over the A arm's and maneuvered the fender to get above the A arm and steering arm. The front turn signal doesn't just pull right out. The fender needs to be bent down in front and the front sides to release the tabs, then you can pull it out. I did not have enough slack in that TS wire to get to the plug because the wire was pinched between the inner and outer fender. I gently pried them apart until I could get enough wire to disconnect. My kit came with an OE style connector so there was no exposed prongs and shrink tubing, great! If you're doing the rear fender marker at the same time just go ahead and connect the splitter first so you don't have to fish the wires later. Nice bright LEDs , nice!
Ok so I installed the whole light kit yesterday it looks great but wasn't a fun install lol. The wires on the factory fender indicator are indeed short. However you can easily gain some slack by unraveling the wires from inner fender well and pushing them up into the opening for the turn signal recess. Making sure when your done tidy up the wires you disturb. (I assume if you have no slack your bike was put together correctly to factory spec, if you have excess slack you may have issues with tires making contact hence the recalls about this area from can-am. Don't be in a hurry, give yourself 3 to 4 hours and good luck👍🤙
You guys are killing it for the ryker!!!!!👍 I cant wait to get mine so I can start modding it with all these awesome parts that I’m buying from you guys😁
Darn the little splitters are missing from the package. Oh well. I emailed your support team. So far it took me 5 hours. with some interruptions. The hardest thing for my particular Ryker was to remove the front lights, very hard. Also it's cold today so the plastic tabs are very hard, they don't bend that easy. The left front light had very little wire so it took me a while to pull it out. Thank you again for the great video.
@@Slingmods Thank you so much. It ended up raining this weekend so hey I don't ride in the rain :). No time lost! Thank you for the response, on a Saturday, this is cool.
Easy install...IF your wiring to the tip lights are long enough to pull out, which mine weren’t. I had a helluva time! Looks great though now that I am finished and took some Advil!
Hello Amrik, we will not be making a "smoked" version of these.. but there is Lens Tint, offered by Rust-Oleum... that would allow you to smoke em" out before you install them as a DIY project, if that interests you.
Thank you for the video, but a couple of things really need clarification. @3:55, my tabs under the light DO NOT come off that easily. I ended up almost breaking the plastic using the method you show here and scratched the top plastic. My tab was at the front of the light and can only be release with a FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER. Second - there is NO SLACK in the wiring when pulling out the front light, so little slack that I ended up accidentally damaging and stripping the wiring from the housing trying to remove the light using your method @3:57. Not sure how much $$ that will be to replace.
Great product however the installation is not as easy as made seem. Once removing the tip light the wiring does not have as much slack as it appears in the video be very careful when removing so that you do not pull apart any electrical wiring
