From Blumhouse, the genre-defining masterminds behind FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S and M3GAN, comes an original horror that taps into the innocence of imaginary friends - and begs the question: Are they really figments of childhood imagination or is something more terrifying lying just beneath?
When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister.
As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.

The idea of "imaginary friends", things that are extremely innocent, turn into real monstrocious creatures that go beyond just a kid's imagination really sounds nice. And judging that this is being made with the producer of Black Phone, i can tell this could be good.

My uncle is actually a lead worker for the monsters in this film ( I don’t remember his actual title) I’ve seen the behind the scenes of these creatures and heard the stories of them, they’re awesome and the teddy bear is so cool in action. His name is Mark Viniello if you wanted to check him out.

I saw a trailer where they made it seem like this was the movie ’if’ coming up, and magical THEN they showed the scary parts. 10/10 movie trailer and I would love to see it.

Great movie! Just saw it with my kid and we both loved it. I don’t understand why all the hate. What I think the haters in the comments need is a little perspective. First of all it’s ((PG13)) so I don’t know what people expect? It’s a scary movie targeted to kids. So if you’re expecting to see Exorcist, Hellraiser, VHS, The Evil Dead, etc., type of material then you’re sick in the head for thinking that’s appropriate for tweens. But if you have a young teen who enjoys a little jump scare here and there with some creative writing, age appropriate of course, then this is a good movie to get them into the horror genre. 8/10 for a PG13 movie.

I took my 8 year old to watch M3gan and she loved it. Not all mom's are unicorns and rainbows. We also watched FNAF big fans 😅
It starts off good and keeps your interest until about the middle, then took a quick nosedive. The "monster" looks like it walked off the set of "Where the Wild things Are."
I swear I thought this was an episode of goosebumps for a minute. That's how non scary it was

i saw this for free today because a couple didn't want their tickets anymore since they found a puppy! Not that bad of a film! Very cliche and had a lot of Coraline moments but other than that, very good acting!

Who is the real bad guy in this film? Chauncey or Jessica? So far, all we know is Jessica left him alone inside a dark musty cellar once she outgrew him, essentially abandoning the poor lil bear. Doesn’t sound like a true friend to me. Chauncey has every right to be angry!!

Just been watching it and you know it was quite good ik alot people saying it rubbish but i am massive fan of horror movies I thought the movie was quite good ik it bit weird scenes you watch but I get what you mean but respect it was quite scary and really exciting.
