    I own a Harley. I’ve owned Harleys since 2007. A good friend of mine rides with me. He bought the Kawasaki Voyager a couple of years ago. He ribs me almost every time we ride because he saved about $10k. I still prefer mine over his, but saving $10k isn’t a bad idea either. He rides to all the same place I ride. It takes him to the exact same places. It is dependable. For those on a budget, I’d say it is a great buy.

      I agree. If you can afford what you want, get it. If not, get what you can afford.

      If they do it, it will use the same parallel twin as the current Z400.

    • @thecamdenyard
      @thecamdenyard 7 месяцев назад +1

       What are your thoughts on why they might go that route?
      I feel the only way you pass a parallel twin as “retro” is to use a 270 crank that’s what the old twins were…Or you would use an inline 4…That’s why the z650rs is a flop and everyone loves the z900rs…I’m really curious to see what they do!! Especially considering they announced the ninja 500 with the 451 twin but once again they went 180 crank on it😢. Hello Kawasaki…Yamaha’s cp2 engine is killing it!! And if Yamaha releases a r9 with the cp3… shots fired Kawasaki !!! Please please wake up and dump these 180 crank twins they are about as entertaining as a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine…
      just my thoughts please tell me your perspective and reasons they might use the 180 twin 👍

      Kawasaki, like many other bike manufacturers, keeps costs down by using the same engine across platforms, whenever possible. If the z400 (now z500, for 2024) has a parallel twin, then they will be very motivated to use the same engine in the RS version. It’s basically one bike, with different trim. Look at how much is the same when you compare the Z650 with the Z650RS. Again, basically the same bike.

    Got an order in for a 40th Anniv ZX-14R. I figure it might be the end of the line for that big mama since it hasn’t been upgraded other than the collector paint livery. Still, as a fan of the old ZX-7R in those colors, I couldn’t resist.

    I don't know if they are sending a standard, cafe, or yet a third designation of the w800 to the US. I want the handlebars that reach into my pockets and pass my billfold to mammasan under the table.

    Got reverse because that's the beauty of all electric "ain't no thing going backwards" with all electric...so if you want to back it into your motorcycle trailer can do that for pure BEV. Expect rebates for 2024 so I wouldn't get too hung up on pricing as there is so much product now flooding in from Europe plus Honda is still so dominant as the major Industry Player globally lots of bike out there right now would be an understatement. Beats paying $40,000 US Dollars for a Polaris side by side! How's that for price gouging!

    I hope the eBay batteries are cheaper than others. A friend of mine had a Brahma electric motorcycle. It’s the one that had a manual clutch and manual six speed transmission. I’ll get right to it. He let the batteries totally discharge on purpose, hoping it would take a larger charge and give more range. It ruined the batteries. The battery pack for that motorcycle was $42,000. (fourty two thousand us dollars) He ended up selling the bike for parts on eBay

    Some of them bikes you say adventure or dual sport they don’t even have a skid plate on them or any crash bars they’re just small street bikes Real dual sport adventure bike has aggressive knobby tires on it

    • @cruisinwithphil
      @cruisinwithphil  7 месяцев назад

      I've noticed as well it's getting more difficult to see the difference in the tires between a dual sport and a supermoto. Should be a significant difference.

    • @visualwarp9707
      @visualwarp9707 5 месяцев назад

      The KLX230 dual sport has a 21” front rim whereas the supermoto has a 17” front rim. So that affects tire selection and handling and ground clearance. And from the factory the dual sport may have street biased tires for safety and efficiency on the highway, but because of the rim size you can change to a more dirt biased tire if you want to. And skid plates and brush guards also are usually optional.
      The supermoto is going to be more limited to street tires but will handle much better on the street as a result of the rim size and tire type.
      I personally would rather go for a dual sport vs a supermoto for the versatility it offers. But I can see the appeal of a light weight supermoto for someone who doesn’t want to go off road, but likes to do stunts or just has to travel really rough roads. I think they would be a lot of fun.

    I can’t for the life of me see how they can warrant the extortionate pricing on these models, same goes for most mew motorcycles to be honest! Your basically talking engine frame wheels etc, where’s the value? Must be a consequence of my old age I suppose, or something to do with still living in the past!! To be honest and relatively speaking, the Chinese seem to be coming out with more reasonable pricing strategy, which I should imagine will see them selling many bikes in 2024!!

    • @cruisinwithphil
      @cruisinwithphil  7 месяцев назад +3

      As long as people keep paying, they'll keep raising prices. Eventually it will crash, just look at the car industry, it's crashing significantly because they kept on raising prices until people decided to stop buying. Now they've got big problems.
