The SP fandom has a HUGE problem with characterization, either it's with Kenny, Craig and even Cartman. They don't know these characters at all tbh. Kyle is actually not as self-righteous as the fanbase makes him out to be, he's preachy. He's actually always the one who's ready to acknowledge his mistakes and is actually quite open-minded. His heart is in the right place 90% of the time and even in the Crack Babies episode, he’s so not at ease with his conscience he gets the idea of the orphanage, he always tries to do good, whether the idea happens or not, like all of the kids, so they can learn their lesson from the episode. That's literally the goal of his character, to be the one coming with the "I learned something today".
Kyle's flaw is hypocrisy due to thinking that Cartman thrives on people being mean to him not realising that's one of the reasons why he's like this due to always knowing the Cartman as a mean kid since he first met him and doesn't want to become a victim so he tries to fight back and fight first as we see in the earlier seasons which is probably why Kyle gets angry at Cartman, showing any sadness and hopelessness would mean letting Cartman win in Kyle's eyes. Not many people get that Kyle doesn't want to be a victim or end up like Heidi so he tries to fight back against Cartman. He's known this kid for years, a kid that'll hurt his friends and own mother and cat (cat only in earlier seasons) to get his own way.

A quick tangential correction/anecdote about the chickenpox vaccine: it did technically exist back when the episode was made (it was invented in 1995), but in its early days there was apparently some uncertainty over whether it was effective long-term, so a lot of parents (mine included!) were advised to hold off on vaccinating their kids against chickenpox until they were a bit older instead of getting it with their regular baby/toddler shots, or even to not vaccinate them against it at all. Chickenpox is more dangerous in older children, so the reasoning was that if it turned out to not be as effective, say, a decade down the line and a kid got infected, they'd get a lot sicker than if they'd just gotten it at a younger age. (Obviously now we have more data and know it's effective long-term, but in the 90s it was still very new.) So while you were technically misled about the vaccine not existing at the time, it does make sense that none of the boys were inoculated. (For the record, I was born in 1993, and my parents were advised to wait until I turned six and then vaccinate me if I hadn't gotten it by then. So of COURSE I wound up finally getting it just two months shy of my sixth birthday, over Christmas.)
You know what, I'm gonna agree with him on the Caitlyn Jenner, the only thing significant about her transition is that she's a celebrity and it got a lot of attention.
I'll more than stand up for anyone who has the courage to be themselves in a day and age that still shows them so much vitriol. However, Caitlyn Jenner as an individual, while she should still be respected in her gender identity, has shown herself to not be worthy of much respect otherwise, often turning her back on the rest of the trans community. A very "woman who voted for the face-eating leopards party surprised to hear they will eat her face" sort of situation.
She's also a major conservative, transphobic in her own right and ran someone over with her car... Idk if the creators knew all that, but I stand by my boy Kyle on that one.
I was aware of the term Latynx before it became more popular, and from what I knew it was originally a niche term used within the Mexican Trans community. By which I mean trans Mexicans considered it niche, used by the small proportion of them who actively rejected a clear male/female identity. And even amongst *those* it wasn't universally used.
I was so confused about the Chicken Pox vaccine because I've never not had it that I knew of, but it wasn't invented and put into use in the USA until 1995, so that's insane.

5:30 I always blamed his parents for that since THEY stopped at the absolute worst part and focused entirely on God proving a point instead of God "rewarding" Jobe for keeping his faith. That said, I still don't think it's necessarily good that the take away is "It's fine, he got it all back." he wasn't handed it all back, God made it so Jobe could *replace* all he took away from Jobe but everything God did, including killing his family, still happened. It's just that Jobe was able to start a new family and regain everything else he lost later in life. Still pretty fucked up the morale is "God will ruin everything for you to test your faith, but as long as you still have faith you'll get it all back." but that's bible stories for ya.

I can understand the Latinx part. I very much don’t like being called African-American despite the fact that I’m black simply because that’s if anything distant ancestry and not my immediate family. To be fair to Kyle with Ike’s birth, his mother literally tells Kyle that Ike wasn’t his real brother. He basically started repeating what she said to him. Also the guy didn’t too much get his family back as he was given a new one. Which is basically saying “I’m sorry I made you suffer through an unimaginable loss. Here’s a new family. We cool now?”
I'm not the most informed person, but I swore Latinx was only thought up (by a Latino person) to refer to nonbinary Latino individuals. Side note, something I did learn about it somewhat recently: it is meant to be pronounced 'Latine,' but people started saying Latin-x and everyone listening runs with it.

15:30 that's like butch hartman i REALLY dispised psycics if someone tries imitate my loved ones who passed away a I'll really go ballistic mad
I remember when taco bell was cheap i bought a party pack no drinks just the food no sides that cost fkn 38$ thats insane for cheap taco
I always read your descriptions. chrysanthemum.
Nice that you did a twoparter.
Latinx always sounds to me like a laxative or a cleaning supply name.
I Think there was a Pokemon Scare when Pokemon came to the USA when it was Introduced to Western Audiences in the 1990's because of Conspiracy Theories, Religious Extremism, the Age of Fear and Ignorance, Neuroticism, and Moral Panic that is from Right-Wing Groups [something Similar to Scare Tactics used by Reactionary Groups in the 20th Century that goes against the American Norm like something Similar to the Satanic Scares in the 1980's and other Examples], I Think that's what South Park was going for, maybe it's Possible.
This is just my Speculation, take it with a Grain of Salt. [Don't Delete my Comment, Please. We don't want History to Repeat itself, this is just a Precaution. Be Careful, Folks and Kitty Monk.]
[I'm Afraid just Posting it, Please don't Delete.] [I Know this is a Touchy Subject, but we all have to Address it at some Point]
Hey there!
Ever since I discovered Your channel, I sometimes like to listen to Your assays not only to learn something about the serieses I heard of but didn't watch all the episodes of, but also to listen to something while drawing or painting. Just to simply learn of them some more and nothing else. Btw, what other shows or media will You discuss more in the future?
Kyle is somehow more evil then cartmen at times
Honestly, by your speaking voice, I assumed you were a monoracially white woman like me, but now I think I hear it. 😉
One thing I will say about the story of Job is that God was testing Jobs faith to teach Job about faith
30:05 Yes you can haggle down the sticker price at a car dealer… my father was a used car salesman and he's where I learn some of what I know…
kick the baby was the original angry birds
He's been wrong about plenty of things, but Caitlyn Jenner not being a hero is correct. He's also not a woman, he himself has said so. And I think it's hilarious that he himself is completely against this trans movement and how over the top it has become.
In all honesty, Sheila really should've used Hqbbakuk's story instead of Job's when it came to Kyle's crisis of faith.
You're holding out on us, Parker, just be honest already! 😤👎
✨
Even if you want a gender neutral version “latine” is way better
#10 - I wish it were just a fad. Oh well.
Hey 15 was close my entry. 5:19 it's J-O-B its not like work it's pronounced with "oh" I've been studying it with my family for weeks. I one time question my faith from a CERTAIN ANIMATOR and Kyle brought up Michael Bay but blame lorenzo di bonaventura that guy is a sparkles hack!
why is the new vid only at 360p max?
"KICK THE BABY!!!"
Who else wishes that Trey Parker would be honest and admit and confess that Eric Cartman is sexually attracted to Kyle Broflovski, thumbs up this comment if you agree! 👍💔💖💗♥❤
I'm fine with, and prefer, being called latinx
I never liked Kyle. I hated him in later seasons and he never admitted that he was wrong.
Honestly on live-action TV shows most fictional characters just call themselves Latino or Latina but real-life monoracial-white people like me just call you guys Hispanic. :/
