The lioness at 1:03 flicking the snow off her paw is just like what my cat always did when there was snow on the ground! He passed away last May...I still really miss him.
The cat I grew up with did the same and the lioness made me think about him, too! He passed 14 years ago... I still really miss him, but the rawness has faded. 🥲
I thought it was an Okapi too. Thanks for the tips guys. I used to know most of the animals but it’s been a few decades. Lovely video. The otter was fantasy😊
@@reginabillotti The elephant came charging into it making happy trumpeting sounds and the bongo was really intrigued, he kept scooping snow with his horns while eating it. Only the lions were outwardly uninterested

What fun the animals were having..Of course some, like the lions probably aren't used to snow. But the otters, seal were having fun and the capybara looked like it was enjoying eating the snow. A once in a lifetime fun for most of them. God bless.
Capybaras are from South America, so they aren't adapted for snow any more than lions and elephants are. But at least they weren't outside like the others.
@@reginabillotti I knew that but that one sure was chewing on a pile of snow that looked like one of the zookeepers had put in it's enclosure. God bless.
@@deborahross9974 South Africa and Lesotho (which is within South Africa) do get snow every year in the mountains, and lions do live in these mountains. A lion wouldn't survive in Siberia, but getting a bit of snow and temperatures slighlty below the freezing point won't do them any harm.
Did they attempt to make humans unnecessarily sleep outside there prior to January 26, 2025 though. It doesn't make much sense for humans to try to illegally make humans sleep outside instead of in their own paid for houses 2017-2024 and then illegally kidnap wild animals and bugs outside and try to make them sleep or stay indoors prior to 1/26/2025.
This is the most Beautiful thing I have ever seen. They are beings with a life existing outside being owned by a zoo and they experience joy at living everyday. We are responsible for their joy when they live in captivity and I Love that they got a new beautiful experience. A true joy! After seeing this? I believe all zoos should bring in snow machines at certain times a year so the animals can enjoy their lives more and have fun in a new climate. I think people would contribute to a campaign like that online and pay for it if the zoos asked to support their animals in this way. This is worth it.
I remember going to the Calgary Zoo in winter when I was a teen - hardly any people and the animals were much more lively than in summer - especially the bears and the otters.
The baby elephant is part of a family of Asian elephants. They are better suited for warmer temperatures. But, they can adapt to a colder environment for short periods of time. Figured since you mentioned it... I would add to your post.
Now do you believe me the events in The Day After Tomorrow are happening here and now? At this point all we can do is find a big library that can withstand a massive tidal wave.
Beautiful .The otter is clearly having the best time , the cranes are magnificent, the lioness had me giggling, love how she picked her paw up and looked at the underside of it , then showed it to the others 😂. Thank you for sharing this
The baby elephant running through the snow was too cute for words. Made me smile.
@@Opinionated-Angel
The baby elephant gave me the biggest smile as well
he became a mammoth
@@bwiebertram I thought the same, his inner wooly came out!

Yes the lioness looks like most cats with snow, not amused.

the joy of the elephant screaming with excitement and happiness really warms the heart this cold winter. adorable how they all react. ❤
1:02 I love how everyone's having a party, but the big cats are like, "Eww eww eww eww EWW!!!"
The otter, pure bliss.
And baby elephants are professional derps, fantastic little guys.
The only one that knew instinctively how to play in the snow.
Just doin' what he otter...
I don't think the cats were too thrilled with it! LOL
Love the okapi playing with the snow with its horns!!!
that is a bongo, a different but equally interesting animal! comes from a family of really cool-looking antelope c:
@@PaulaZF Okapi don't have horns.
@ thank you. It’s been 50 years since I studied African animals.

Love the otter sliding down the hill like kids in a sled and the bongo scooping snow in his horns!
My favorites, too.
Loved the bongo just shoving its face into the snow.
all the animals having fun, and the lions are just like.. "This is some BS!"
I love how excited the baby elephant was.
So heartwarming. The animals loved the snow. Loved seeing the otter and the elephant. The lion was like what the heck is on my paw. 😂😳🥶

The snow must’ve reminded the otters of their old home in Yellowstone.

Mammals shouldn't be eating snow. It can lead to hypothermia.
Capybara: Yum! Snowcone!
Just pure joy to watch these fellow earth dwellers! That elephant is the best opening act!
Nice to see these kind of news reports.
Of course the Capybaras are gonna be chilling in the snow. 😂
They’re just some chill guys
This very well could be most of these animals first time seeing snow! The lions especially 😂
I know I otter go inside, but I LOVE this!
Quit lion around and go play.

Wow! Even elephants have a snow switch🤣 the big cats were just like domestic cats, trying to keep their paws off the ground!
That snow is so cool.
Animals bring so much joy to our lives, when "people" abuse them, there should be severe punishment.
The lions seemed less than impressed but all the other animals were having fun.😊
The lions did not look amused, lol
I love the keeper running after the baby elephant. Like “wait no, no no stop-“

This was toooo cute ❤️ 💙 💜
How amazing to see the joy
I love how the cold country animals play in it, and the lions from hot Africa are like WTH?!?
The female was like ahhh my paws and the male was like not today satan!

So cute!
The last one have eyes like it realised: IT'S SOLID WATER!
Runaway elephant. It's neat to see those African critters play in the snow. One of the perks of emigrating to the US.
So adorable. Was a zookeeper chasing the elephant?😂
How wonderful! Thank you for the share! 🐾♥️

That lion's mane is impressive.
Cats still be cats, even big ones xD

Though lions not so sure.
Shame no polar bear
Global warming gone crazy ❤
I love the way the capybara eats the snow ❄️🌨️😂
I don't think the lions were too thrilled, lol.
The lions don't seem amused.
Normal day at the zoo: Animals lying around, doing nothing.
Snow day at the zoo: Animals running around, frolicking. Zoo's closed.
i think the lions were more annoyed than joyful
they had a "WTF is this crap?" look 🤣
The lioness is like, “it’s on my foot. Honey. Guys!! IT’S ON MY FOOT!!!!!”
The capys are chilling as usual
The otters like it, the elephants and lions don’t, too cold for the paws and pads.
00:25 - "This is the most tasteless snowcone I've ever had!"
The weasel was definitely joyful. The lions...not so much! My cat agrees.
A lot of the African animals don't know what to think of this. I think the last one was an okapi and it seemed really confused. 😂
They need snow more often 😅
Well, except for the Elephant and lions
The otter was having a blast while the lions were like, "Wtf is this stuff??" 😅
Why was the lioness like, "Eugh, brother! EUUUUUGGGHHH!"? 😂
Of course the Capybaras are like,
"What is that, food? I'll have some."
I think the lions and elephant would like to be in a nice warm pen.
Not sure the cats liked it at all?
Snow is fun time for everyone, lions not so keen😂😂
In the wild, these animals would've never experience this in their natural habitats
Except the otter - they are living in colder zones.
Yeah, not seeing a ton of joy from the lions😃 but was really cool seeing the others having fun.
My cats agree with their Savannah brethren: the snow is entirely uncalled-for and should be done away with immediately. 😅
capybaras just chilling eatin snow.
I'm not sure they loved it but they knew it was something different
A number of them clearly loved it. Get real.
Capybara chilling as usual.
