Just want to clarify a few things - this is for the love of it, and there's no payment or remuneration implied. It's the youtube fan-cast recording.
The end video will require everyone to sing the chorus parts, regardless of lead role or not. Also, you'll need to get into character - since this is a video and a recording, I'm creating the end project as a virtual cast. So think creatively; costumes, gestures, etc.
This is a virtual youtube "fan-cast" recording of "One Day More", and anyone is welcome to audition / contribute. This video contains the information about that audition process. Basically, you just have to watch this video, and record yourself singing along to the appropriate section, and send me a private video of yourself singing for the audition. Once I cast the song, then we will proceed with creating the best, virtual fan-cast recording of "One Day More" on youtube!

OMG! I canNOT believe I'm only just now seeing this! Please please please do more things like this (though, truthfully, there are few choral numbers as powerful as One Day More). I would LOVE to take part in one!!!

Les Mis is a universal story; the message and the meaning aren't bound to any one country or area of humanity. It doesn't matter where you're from!

What you do is literally put headphones on and sing to this video.. as each section comes up, sing to the part (or parts) you're auditioning for! :)
The microphone only matters for the final recording. There's no age restriction, no. However, the characters do have an age "range". If you watch the show / movie, basically the different character's / actor's ages are a good guideline.

For the final recording, you'll need to use a camera, yes. The costume / wardrobe is really a requirement for the lead roles, and less so for the large chorus ensemble.
Yep, I will be listening for vocal ability only. You can, if you want, let the music record into the audition, but for the final recording, it will have to be just vocals.

Damn, I missed this one. After you're done with One Day More, you should do the ABC Cafe/Red and Black. I'd definitely audition for that.
You can definitely sing in the chorus. I need a big sound for that, and the microphone quality is not as important for that - more for the lead roles. You must have a good microphone for the lead roles.

For the audition, it's not as necessary. Most importantly need to hear you sing. But in the final video, I need characterization. Whether it's chorus or lead. The end video will be fantastic to watch as well as listen to. The whole project will be professional from top to bottom.
No matter what, I need voices for the big big chorus sound, and for that, mic quality doesn't matter AS much!

The audition doesn't need to be in costume (but it helps for me to determine visual casting), but the final performance will need to be in costume.

You should do more of these. Audition for each role using solo songs. Jean Valjean would be WHO AM I. Fantine would be I DREAMED A DREAM. Cosette would be her solo moment in IN MY LIFE. When you choose the voices, have them sing each song from the BEST OF LES MISERABLES CD. And include CASTLE ON A CLOUD for kids. Just a suggestion.
