    i think its the thing that i dislike most of l4d2, is how theres so many weapons but they have too simillar stats and some are just too op. l4d1 handle it better with having less weapons but each one feeling like it has a role and is balanced

      Ur actually right, i agree with that most weapons are pretty much just reskins of existent ones but i like how you can sort of choose your playstyle and making you feel like the weapon you chose has a uniqueness to it.

      @@umbrella1556 True, but I guess the downside is that we don't have many weapons to choose from as a result, since the hand-picked ones for the game are meant to represent specific playstyles. I'm not saying that our groups of Survivors travelling around swamps, cities and sewers should be able to find miniguns or flamethrowers, or the game needs CoD/EFT levels of weaponry, but only having 2 types of SMGs or pump-action shotguns in *The Land of America* is a lil' lacking.

      Yeah, l4d1 is so balanced, there's no point using anything but the autoshotgun.

    My favorite rebalance of the AWP is making a near one shot tier 3 weapon like the m60 or grenade launcher.

    I think balancing could be the same as Realism mode, taking way more shots to kill common infected, but other than that, it's unchanged. That way, sniper cannot just speedrun through the game as they will have to waste 5 shots on every common infected and it will also encourage teamwork to protect the sniper from commons.

      The SG552 is my favorite as well! Though it's model [along with all the other counter strike weapons] should've been updated.

    Imagine my dissapointment when i discovered the hunting has the same damage as military, when the later still maintains the pixel perfect shots while standing still

    you forgot to mention it's infinite penetration, which lets you sweep entire hordes in a few shots.

    I love it when I'm playing versus and the other team is all using military snipers, and at least 2 of them have 90% headshot accuracy and you basically can't play the game

    For the Bolt action snipers I think they should be buffed heavily here are my proposals.
    1 the sniper shot will kill any common infected it hits including penatrated bullets so it 1 shots any zombie in its way
    2 higher fire speed in the way of old revolvers.
    No scope = much higher speed but worse accuracy and lower damage
    Scoping = much higher accuracy and damage and Lower fire speed.

      That is a really cool way of balancing the bolt action snipers, kinda like the way that the SG works when hip firing and scoping in

    You make some great points but I still think it shouldn't be changed the way you did.
    Hear me out...
    Although the damage is high I don't think it should be nerfed the same for scope it's a sniper.
    Instead we should nerf crowd control by one of three different fixes.
    1 shots that penatrate a zombie shouldn't kill the zombie behind it instead it damages them lightly including headshots.
    2 Higher damage but slower firing speed.
    3 Simply lowering the clip size to 20 which Is the fix I'm with

    I swear, it's exactly becus the auto shotguns and rifles excel at certain things while having certain downsides, that the snipers are given so much more spotlight in comparison:
    - Hit-scan + no inaccuracy + no damage drop-off = instant 90 damage from ANYWHERE at EXACTLY the center of the screen when standing still AND scoped (while moving, too), plus Hunting Rifle's BS running accuracy.
    - Time-to-kill (ToK): can 2-shot all Specials (except 6-shot on Charger) in similar or even *less* time than Auto SGs and rifles. Not to mention *Stacking.*
    - Game design: Hit-scan insta-killing Survivors against melee-ranged/delayed attack Special Infected. Yea that's fun.
    And your balancing take is cool, but just the very nature of the gun itself is a balancing nightmare. Like how even 2 headshots to kill a Smoker can still be broken considering how long he stands still after attacking. Plus the CSS snipers: again, hit-scan + 0 inacc + 0 damage drop-off = insta-kill via "sick frag shots" or shove-shooting. They might as well be rail guns or laser guns.
    TL;DR: Gun is broken, pls remove from Versus, Valve, kthx.

      It is indeed a balancing nightmare when it comes to versus, and even if smokers still die in 2 shots to the head it will still be a commitment of the survivor to 2 shot the smoker leaving a window of attack to the other infected, and about the CSS snipers honestly they feel more balanced but just lack a bit in the common killing department, to the point where it feels like you're a detriment to the team, but i feel like its fair for them to one shot at the head because they dont have a high fire rate to begin with and more punishing to miss. (also about the shooting+shove mechanic to fire faster it should just get fixed to even if you shove it you will still have to wait the fire rate cooldown of the weapon)

    The military sniper rifle is honestly one of the coolest weapons in the game including the sound, it just sounds very threatening i love it lol

      Yeaa, totally different feeling and experience.
      Since I mostly play Realism Advanced (official and community maps) and Realism VS rarely, it increases the horror and changes the arcady feel for more of a tactical one.
      Snipers/Marksman-Rifles take a more “specialist” role, annihilating Specials, but takes 3 shots on the body to kill a single normal infected.

    Maybe it should’ve had higher damage but higher recoil, make it less accurate than a hunting rifle maybe. Idk, All I remember is how I loved using the Tactical Shotgun in this game.

      Well that's the point though, most people just get a lucky headshot and one shots the SI and looking at the CSS snipers it would make more sense to have a different purpose for the gun, i said 70 but you dont need to nerf the actual damage, at the very least the damage multiplier at the head, i know you can do the same with other weapons but that's a whole other topic.

    Don't worry. Sometimes I couldn't kill an infected with military sniper rifle with laser sight (my aim sucks even more than yours).

    0:52 i'm far from being a pro at the game, but i have thousands of hours. i could easily have gotten these smoker and hunter kills with an AK or probably even Spas faster, at the same distance.
    1:00 you shoot a witch from a distance and unload on her, taking several seconds and shots. yet, you can 1-shot a witch with a shotgun instantly, even on expert.
    if you see people solo speedrun the game, they almost always have autoshotguns, because they are clearly the most broken. especially the spas, you can shoot pretty far, it's fast, massive damage.
    you talk about the tank missing a rock and shooting it, but you can do that with an AK at a distance and get more DPS, i'm sure. another point for the shotgun is it's the only gun to have bonus damage to the tank, if you shoot it in the back.
    the autosniper is not the most broken, it's just your favorite.

      Even the AK is not the all to solution like the sniper you would struggle alot with witches, sure you can crown a witch with a shotgun but doing that in versus is a whole different story since you would need to get close and personal or shooting her from far away and dealing the fatal blow when she's close which takes skill and you're sure to meet resistance from the infected team, and the tank missing the rock throw and then proceeded to get shreded for that mistake but the sniper barely needs to do any comittment to punish that mistake and it can do so in any range with the ak in the other hand you woulnd't get away dealing so much damage to the tank, the autosniper aint my favorite weapon because the SCAR takes that place, but my point is that the autosnipers shoulnd't be the ALL to solution to everything in the game it should have its own unique purpose instead of doing everything that all the other weapons can in one gun.

      Same thing that i said about another comment, most people just get a lucky headshot with the the autosniper just by spamming it and it doesnt make sense for something with that much fire rate and precision to one shot almost everything in the head
