i think its the thing that i dislike most of l4d2, is how theres so many weapons but they have too simillar stats and some are just too op. l4d1 handle it better with having less weapons but each one feeling like it has a role and is balanced
Ur actually right, i agree with that most weapons are pretty much just reskins of existent ones but i like how you can sort of choose your playstyle and making you feel like the weapon you chose has a uniqueness to it.

For the Bolt action snipers I think they should be buffed heavily here are my proposals. 1 the sniper shot will kill any common infected it hits including penatrated bullets so it 1 shots any zombie in its way 2 higher fire speed in the way of old revolvers. No scope = much higher speed but worse accuracy and lower damage Scoping = much higher accuracy and damage and Lower fire speed.

Not to mention *Stacking.* - Game design: Hit-scan insta-killing Survivors against melee-ranged/delayed attack Special Infected. Yea that's fun. And your balancing take is cool, but just the very nature of the gun itself is a balancing nightmare. Plus the CSS snipers: again, hit-scan + 0 inacc + 0 damage drop-off = insta-kill via "sick frag shots" or shove-shooting. They might as well be rail guns or laser guns. It is indeed a balancing nightmare when it comes to versus, and even if smokers still die in 2 shots to the head it will still be a commitment of the survivor to 2 shot the smoker leaving a window of attack to the other infected, and about the CSS snipers honestly they feel more balanced but just lack a bit in the common killing department, to the point where it feels like you're a detriment to the team, but i feel like its fair for them to one shot at the head because they dont have a high fire rate to begin with and more punishing to miss. (also about the shooting+shove mechanic to fire faster it should just get fixed to even if you shove it you will still have to wait the fire rate cooldown of the weapon)

Since I mostly play Realism Advanced (official and community maps) and Realism VS rarely, it increases the horror and changes the arcady feel for more of a tactical one. Snipers/Marksman-Rifles take a more “specialist” role, annihilating Specials, but takes 3 shots on the body to kill a single normal infected.
Maybe it should’ve had higher damage but higher recoil, make it less accurate than a hunting rifle maybe. Idk, All I remember is how I loved using the Tactical Shotgun in this game.

0:52 i'm far from being a pro at the game, but i have thousands of hours. i could easily have gotten these smoker and hunter kills with an AK or probably even Spas faster, at the same distance. 1:00 you shoot a witch from a distance and unload on her, taking several seconds and shots. yet, you can 1-shot a witch with a shotgun instantly, even on expert. if you see people solo speedrun the game, they almost always have autoshotguns, because they are clearly the most broken. especially the spas, you can shoot pretty far, it's fast, massive damage. you talk about the tank missing a rock and shooting it, but you can do that with an AK at a distance and get more DPS, i'm sure. another point for the shotgun is it's the only gun to have bonus damage to the tank, if you shoot it in the back. the autosniper is not the most broken, it's just your favorite.
Even the AK is not the all to solution like the sniper you would struggle alot with witches, sure you can crown a witch with a shotgun but doing that in versus is a whole different story since you would need to get close and personal or shooting her from far away and dealing the fatal blow when she's close which takes skill and you're sure to meet resistance from the infected team, and the tank missing the rock throw and then proceeded to get shreded for that mistake but the sniper barely needs to do any comittment to punish that mistake and it can do so in any range with the ak in the other hand you woulnd't get away dealing so much damage to the tank, the autosniper aint my favorite weapon because the SCAR takes that place, but my point is that the autosnipers shoulnd't be the ALL to solution to everything in the game it should have its own unique purpose instead of doing everything that all the other weapons can in one gun.

SG552 is the best! fast firerate for commons, slow steady mode for far away specials!
The SG552 is my favorite as well! Though it's model [along with all the other counter strike weapons] should've been updated.
Its a really good weapon, although i wish there was a scoping in animations like the snipers

you forgot to mention it's infinite penetration, which lets you sweep entire hordes in a few shots.
i think i mentioned about penetration in the vid but yeah that's also a big factor in why its so broken
