Awesome video you should do a bow hunting gear breakdown before season starts explaining everything about your setup including arrow broadleaf speed etc I would love to see that
Great vid Chris, reality. I think after your first shoot at Foley you hit the nail on the head. In ASA, you only get 20 shots/day. Regardless of class, you can't take a shot that's "good enough." You just don't have enough shots to overcome it with volume. Every shot needs to be your best effort. Add in the difficulty of finding the bonus ring, lighting, footing, etc. and those shots are a real challenge. Really appreciate you being transparent and showing us shots that weren't perfect. Look forward to seeing you in a shootdown someday
Chrisbee! Same sight set-up here too! That rattle with that sight was solved for me by adjusting the tension lever and snugging it down. Also UVX3 will rattle w/o blue loc-tite on each cartridge screw. Just my .02! Hope that helps!
Just wanted to say i got the UV beereal grip for my mathews and the results are unreal. Way more comfortable and my groups are shrinking a ton. Congrats on having a great product
Great video as always! Quick question tho….how come you always edit out the click part of the shot process? I’m pretty new to the Ultraview hinge 2 and feel that I’ve got a comfortable timing going on but I like to watch it on others to compare.
Do you recommend 4 or 3 fletch for 3D and I shoot X vanes but I just one the Texas 4H compound bow shoot and I was using extremely skinny arrows and I was gonna get some bigger ones and wanted to know what kind of fletchings
What is the range of yardage for known distance? Some of the stuff you shoot out west looks like a good poke. Never shot competitively but I’d like to try, I just don’t know what yardage to expect or how to practice. Typically my practice is 60 yards on a 3” bullseye
Ive seen bow builds, and gear and obviously its hard to carry a bow shop on the range to an ASA. Care to share what may be in a toolbox as you head out for an ASA weekend? Foley is coming, and with rising numbers local in Michigan to 3D and archery, would love to get some feedback what i should pack in my chair and tool kit, as well as items to bring that you may need other than carrying on the range. Thanks Boss!
I just played around with my own 3d today, making that my first attempt... hahaha Mad respect, Bee, had no idea what I was in for, and can honestly say... that's the first time I've had my ass kicked by foam, was completely unprepared lol. Animals are large until you're trying to his an 1.5" circle repeatedly.
Hey Chris I got a v3x 33 today and I was outside shooting and noticed the micro adjust knob on the Qad integrate rest is hitting my hand and swelled my hand up do u have any tips to fix that
Mine did the exact same thing when I got mine, it bothered me for about a month and after a while I stopped noticing it. I would maybe slightly change your grip.
Mathews atlas. I’m 32.5” and there’s not many options. I wouldn’t consider it a budget bow but buying the right bow that fits you is worth working some OT. I’ve shot bows that were too short and it’s miserable for accuracy
1. Mount a paper target on a bale. 2. Step back the appropriate distance and adjust your sight after each shot until you hit center bullseye. 3. Note your yardage at each distance.
If you shoot your hunting bow really really good. Why do target archers feel the need to switch to a target bow? Especially shooting a 3D course which is to simulate hunting. When you shoot at Total Archery Challenge you shoot a hunting bow. Which is kinda the same thing as a 3D course.
ASA professional “open” categories allow magnifier and clarifier lenses. They allow allow whatever stabilizer setup you want. Bow hunter category (me) limits the stabilizers, and doesn’t allow magnifier lenses. In other words, you can find competition to match your gear. OR you can match your setup to the competition you want to be in.
@@ThatJamesGuy88 yeah we have a “known 50” where you can use range finders, but most guys don’t. I think the “open” class is the same, unlimited stabilizers and movable sights etc
i USE TO LOVE SHOOTING 3D, HAVEN'T DONE IT IN YEARS AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT YOU WERE DOING WHITH A RANGE FINDER. BACK IN THE DAY YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN DISQUALIFIED, RUN OUT OF THE CLUB AND YOUR NAME WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN IN HISTORY AS A NO GOOD GAMMER. MAN I GUESS SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED. YOU COULD HAVE BINO'S MAX 10X42. A RANGER SURE WOULD HAVE SAVED ME SOME ARROWS WHEN I WAS NEW TO 3D.

Now I'm excited

These are my favorite videos Chris, absolutely love anything you post that's 3D and ASA related. Cant wait for your illinois video.

I have been waiting on this video for months now lol. Just was hoping in RUclips to see what’s on and this was my first suggested lol.
Great video Chris! Umbrellas should be outlawed!! lol
I shoot a V3X 33, it’s my do it all bow but my main focus is target shooting. How does the 36 shoot vs the 33?
Just wanted to say i got the UV beereal grip for my mathews and the results are unreal. Way more comfortable and my groups are shrinking a ton. Congrats on having a great product
I can't wait to put mine on my Matthew's V3X. It arrived today.
@@jamesbr8704 you’ll love it
Sweet video. You should do a video on how to tighten up an old axcel mine has seen some miles as well
Just ordered my shrewd Chris Bee 🐝 Stabilizer!

If I get the UV3 XL target with a 6x do I need a new peep with clarifier? I am nearsighted and wear glasses.

I am getting the uv3 hunting sight from you guys for my spot Hogg fast Eddie xl double pin

Why do you shoot the hamskea rest for 3d?
Chris's will you go back to the hinge or are you strictly thumb button now?
I have a barnett archery vortex and it is set at 45 lbs and i have to bend backward to draw do you have any tips for me because im a beginner
When you range do you account for the length of your arm? Or does that not matter?
Can you make a video on how you run your weights
also I'm 12 years old and I'm getting a mission switch what size stabilizer do you recommend for hunting the bow is 31 inches axle to axle
you've probably answered it a million times, but what binos are you running? I can't find it in any of your vids. Thanks!
Needed this thanks.
How do you get into competition shooting
that bird almost got it at 7:10
Chris, would you suggest a UV3 or UV3XL for 3D?
What draw weight are you shooting?

@@benkirkland3592 k I’m going to try that and I think I’m going to add a wrist sling and c if that also helps
Hey Chris, do you have a recommendation for bow string wax?
Chris bee waht is the difference between different let offs??
Just the weight you’re holding at full draw. The more let off, the less holding weight.
Ayyyy second love the vide Chris
Yesss
Would like to see your different arrow setups.. and the 3yd target probably gets more misses than the 50yd.. lol. Good shootin brother
hey Chris do your mathewsgrips fit on mission switches
Sun got you . looks like dam good shooting to me
Chris I'm looking to get a new bow would you recommend vxr 28 or v3 27
How tight you got that spring stretched out on the Hamskea?
Looks like a lovely day for a shoot
Chris, how do I stop my D loop from closing up? It's pinching my knock.. thanks.
What pound draw back does he run on all his bows ?
What would be a good budget bow for someone with a 32" draw length?

My xp is also loud and loose. A quick how to tune up vid could be very informative.
Good video bro
Muy buena agrupación Chris..con respecto la otra vez; uno un mal entendido de mi parte ..te pido perdón...A hug brother..God bless you..
Why do you shoot four fletched arrows?
Do use 80% or 85% mods on your hunting bows?
Find a spot to shoot in Fargo yet?
Hey Chris. How do you calculate the 3,5 & 10 yard shots?
1. Mount a paper target on a bale. 2. Step back the appropriate distance and adjust your sight after each shot until you hit center bullseye.
3. Note your yardage at each distance.
Chris, do you have a P.O. box?
Not an idiot... Honest,no spin reporting, A.S.A scoring is tough

Does he mention draw weight? Caught the 80% letoff.
My ignorance would have thought you wouldnt be allowed magnifiers in challenges. Where i go in Alberta you cant even use a rangefinder lol
In BC you have to state if you’re using a range finder and you’re in a different category
ASA professional “open” categories allow magnifier and clarifier lenses. They allow allow whatever stabilizer setup you want. Bow hunter category (me) limits the stabilizers, and doesn’t allow magnifier lenses.

Nice videos
Using a range finder in a 3D shoot we call the cheaters class it takes all the fun away guessing the yards and progressing in being a better archer
All the 3D tournaments around here consider it cheating to use a range finder. Any tips on shooting gap yardages with fixed pin sights?
That rattle after the shot would get on my nerves
Would suggest it might be worth practicing a bit more at beyond 50, for me at least pushing the limit helps me get more comfortable at regular ranges

I'd like to see you shoot 3d with pins no lenses. That seperates the men from the boys Chris. Lol.. that's all I shoot at 3d competitions.
