    I just picked up my RS with full exhaust last week. Its a beast, I traded my Pikes Peak for it and am happy with the trade so far. The engine changes the entire character of the bike, but it's not just the engine its geared differently as well. All that being said i haven't got it broken in yet but it certainly feels faster than the pikes peak.

    Superquadro is about being over square, so should be more rev happy but less punchy than ktm. I don't think a quick shifter is standard unless it's an RVE trim.
    RS doesn't make much sense because it makes less power and torque than pikes peak below 10.5k rpm(not significantly more above, it would be a different story if it had the same figures and revved as high as panigale/streetfighter) and and always has less torque + dry clutch doesn't make sense, although it likely sounds better and is more enjoyable to rev out. Having "Titanium" written on the subframe and "desmo" on the front is hilarious. At least you get adjustable engine braking with the desmo engine. Not like the sportier tail section that doesn't allow having the oem top box and mount makes sense either. Seems like a marketing exercise targeting people who want a more special numbered bike.
    It is desmosedici, not desmodici, every video of yours 🙃

      @volodymyrshoniia2424 I agree that the RS doesn't make much sense. I may get flamed for saying this but I think that the V4 engine in the Multistrada was a bad decision for a touring bike especially the Enduro version. The outgoing Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine was brilliant. As a result, the V4 which it replaced lost usable power and torque down in the low to mid RPM range where it counts and the gas consumption got worse.

      @@DarR1299 🤷‍♂️ I tried 1200, 1260, and v4 pikes peaks (as well as s1000xr, 1290 sdr Evo, sfv4s and whatever else coming from tuono v4 which still has the best engine out of all of them) before making a decision to spend more money. There's not all that much of a difference in torque (except for maybe very low revs), but v4 is much more rev happy, smoother, the quick shifter is a lot better, so is the chassis (1200 felt lighter and smaller with the shorter wheelbase, kind of like a big supermoto, but wasn't as stable and front/rear felt disconnected; 1260 improved the torque dip that 1200 had and improved the top end power, but also felt heavy, big, and kind of lazy in terms of handling with the caveat that mechanically adjustable suspension wasn't setup for my personal preferences). If RS was available, I probably would've gotten it for more rev happiness, and just dealt with the stupid dry clutch as well as the lack of the top box, it's nice that it has adjustable engine braking, I just don't think they've done enough to warrant an upgrade for anyone who already has a v4.

    Hey Brother! All Hyper’s from my original ‘07 HYM1100S to this SuperMono model, are effin’ kewl! Definitely not for a one-bike owner unless all you do is hoon on a bike. As I found out, they’re just too uncomfortable and impractical to do anything but short sport rides and hoonigan riding. Do I want one anyway? Is il Papa Catholic?! The RS? Do I need it? Nope. Speaking practically, The Grand Tour model ticks all the boxes, and is really all that I need, especially if it was for a one-bike garage. Do I want one? H*ll Yeah! Since I have two Harley tourers, I really only use my Multi as a geriatric sport bike. Baby likes to ride two-up on it versus the Harley’s (don’t ask), but this is a 90% Panigale with a comfy rider triangle and integrated detachable luggage, et al. Your P-P is really overkill for the street, but much more practical than anything else that performs at/near/above it. The RS gives even more (probably unusable on the street) performance over the V4S/P-P, with worse economy, and increased & more expensive maintenance. Then you have to add the missing but necessary (to me) farkles like panniers, heated grips/searmt(s), etc. If I had the dosh, would I buy the RS? F*ck Yes!!! C’mon Powerball! Papi needs a new, high-paying post-retired position to buy some new toys

    IMHO, the MTS V4 RS is years too late. Moreover, it's heavy and ugly relative to the 1260 Pikes Peak. On the other hand, the Hypermotard 688 Mono is brilliant.
    The 1/2 Panigale 1299 engine and the electronic suite that it has is nothing seen before. Wheelie control that holds a balance point and adjustable drift control is sick. It's a hooligan's wet dream.

    • @DarR1299
      @DarR1299 6 месяцев назад +1

      More on the MTS V4 RS: I could be wrong as it's just my best guess but the "R" may be signaling the end of the line for the "Street Only" Multistrada if history repeats itself. The Enduro Multi version will carry over. I think a lighter 200HP Supersport is around the corner.

      @DarR1299 6 месяцев назад

      @@RemboUSMC Uhm? Where to start? First, I'm not going to elaborate on the beauty or ugliness as that's subjective. Ducati really screwed up the launch of the Multistrada V4. The 19" front wheel and the double sided swing-arm really alienated some Ducati loyalists. Moreover, the Granturismo power-plant didn't add a significant amount of HP over the outgoing Testastretta 11° a twin-cylinder engine. 143.82 hp for the V4 vs 140.45 hp for the V2. Moreover, it lost usable torque. 77.78ft-lb for the V4 vs 87.14ft-lb for the V2. These figures are from the same Cycle World Dyno and published online. Then there's the weight difference. 505 lbs for the 1260 Pikes Peak Vs 527 lbs for the V4 Pikes Peak. However, at the V4's launch, the V4 Pikes Peak was not available thus the weight differential was much larger than the outgoing 1260. All this to say that the Mustistrada V4 should have been launched as an iteration similar to today's RS model sporting the signature Desmo engine.
      About: signaling the end of the line. It's just a hunch, nothing more. Panigale R excepted, every Ducati "R" model was the last iteration of that model line as far back as my memory serves.
