I think The Sims 1: Making Magic implied that Bella had magic ancestry, and I can definitely see her as a witch. I don't really play with vampires, because I find it annoying that you can't have them go out during the day.
While Bella isn't 'missing' in my game, she did hide out at Kaylynn's condo after escaping the aliens. Mortimer found her quite quickly, and they rekindled their love. Dina tried once again to have Bella abducted, but Mortimer, Cassandra, Jennifer and John all stopped her. (More on the latter two in the Burb video). Needless to say, Dina's life became difficult after that.
Edit: Speaking of cats, in TS1, Mortimer's parents, Gunther and Cornelia Goth, had two cats: Hecuba & Menelaus Goth. They were brother and sister, and it's possible the cat that Bella has could be a descendant of one of them.
