I really like your capsules and the way you wear the items in a very versatile way. I'm on my third capsule at the moment and the 4 items that are most worn are my skinny jeans, a black pencil skirt, a white blouse and a black cardigan with wooden buttons.
I'm on a marathon and I'm loving it your videos will help me so much to start my more conscious closet
I love all of your videos! You've really inspired me to do the capsule wardrobe thing. I'm on my 2nd year and never wanna go back! I also find that I like loosely fitting shirts. It's really amazing how you discover what you like wearing through this experience. I've discovered that I'm a super lazy person who just enjoys wearing clothing that is easy to wear but makes you look put together with no extra effort.
this was really fun to peek into! it's interesting how differently we all use clothing: in this season as a stay-at-home mom and freelance editor, "dress up or dress down" isn't something I have to consider; I have every day clothes and then church clothes (which double for any sort of dressy occasion that may come up, though they rarely do). I lived hearing about reheeling your boots, too!

My most worn pieces are black, high waisted skinny jeans, blue high waisted "mum jean" shorts, and an assortment of white T shirts. All so simple and easy and I always feels comfortable but out together wearing them!

helpful video - and music was nice and low. My favorite casual go-to items are: shorts with pockets, cotton blend half-zip hoodie with 3/4 cuffed sleeves in gray. Wishing I'd bought 2 more (white, black).Tank or tee layered with hoodie if cold. I love hoodies, because I get cold. In spring and summer I wear thong sandals. Black leggings with Black knee high boots to dress up with button front white tee and blazer (or hoodie sweater or button down chambray or denim shirt with chest pockets). I try to only buy clothes, top and bottoms, with pockets. For walking, I wear New Balance leather trainers with merino wool or cotton padded walking socks. you've inspired me to think about a capsule wardrobe. I finally packed up my out of season/winter clothes in my empty suitcases. Freed up 1 whole clothes rod!
Ello, thankyou for your video. I really want to do a smaller capsule wardrobe and this video has helped a lot. My most worn piece is my homemade bohemian ankle length skirt I have one and am making a second one because that’s my signature piece in my 12 month wardrobe.

My most worn pieces are also ones that can be taken from being quite casual to a little more dressy. I have this pair of gingham shorts that I have worn so much - in summer and I'm winter and they have been surprisingly versatile! Xx

I love your simple down to earth style. I have a similar pieces. I was sent here by "Justin". You have a wardrobe that the average person would have. Most of these channels are very fancy, which is not practical for everyday living.
My most worn item are definitely my maternity leggings as I am pregnant and they are so comfy. I tend to wear a uniform of leggings, cardigan, rather tight long top and a scarf every day. However, I'll be switching to dresses + cardigan as soon as it gets warm enough 😊

Most worn item for me is a dark black skinny jean. I wear them to work and on weekends and they go with absolutely everything. Dressing has become much easier!
My most worn items: my high waisted black stetchy jeans and my black tank top. I have had them for forever it feels like. They're both getting very worn but I just keep touching them up and they're fine. I've also had my vegan doc martens for 4 years now and I have never had to do any maintenance to them. they have gotten a lot of ware out of them too!
Ah I love this! This was really great to see. Now I really want to go through my wardrobe and cull. But I made the wrong choice of watching this video before work, so I have to get ready for my 8 to 5 instead. Hopefully I still have the motivation after work!

I think it's good to have pieces that layer well especially for transitional seasons like spring and fall. Most important though is to have your favourite/go-to items - build your capsule around what you most like wearing :)
One of my must-haves is a good stocking. Swedish stockings is a really good brand that have stockings that you can wear tons of times.
Very interesting video. Should you want to give the black skirt away one day, I'd happily buy/take it. I kind of fell in love with it the first time I spotted it in one of your capsules ;-)

In the winter, definitely my favorite US made Levi's jeans and my black leggings :). I'm interested in creating a capsule wardrobe and am currently monitoring what clothes I'm wearing and what clothes I'm not ;). Any recommendations on accessories (i.e. purses, backpacks)?

my most worn pieces are two pairs of recently purchased Manduka black men's yoga pants. they are slightly baggy on me with pockets and slightly too short since i am a beyond runway tall (6ft 2) babe. tapered legs and drawstring elastic waist and about 95% cotton. i have been living in these pants (and I am a skirt babe) even semi-dressing them up and wearing them to the office on my i-gotta-be-me days. i do yoga in them, go to the farmers market in them, go dancing in them. honestly, with a couple of my high quality pima cotton black tshirts and my Steve Jobs looking black turtleneck for cool days, I could own them and nothing else! my leggings have been ousted!! i cold wash them on gentle and hang dry inside because they MUST last forever. $100 a pair from REI online.

My most worn item is defenitely my simple black workout leggings from H&M. I can use them in a casual outfit, use them to work out in, or to chill in at home. And they are soooo comfortable. Unfortunately these have worn out after about 3 years, and for obvious reasons I won't be purchasing them again at H&M. I bought a pair at HEMA, which as fairly good ethical policies, but they are already starting to fall apart. If anyone knows a brand of ethical, long lasting leggings, I'd be glad to hear!
When you find a piece that fits you super well, it looks great on you, you feel great in it, but doesn't really hhave a place in your capsule, how hard is it to let it go and for you to be able to put it in the box to store it away
one thought that came to mind while listening to how your mostly prefer wearing your light colored skirt as opposed to the black one, is that you might instinctually prefer the former because it matches your color palette better. You seem to me like a Summer and black can sometimes be a bit too intense for this color palette. A charcoal would match you better, in my opinion.

I haven't had the chance to go through all of your content yet but I was wondering how you feel about thrifting. I'm noticing you prefer to support the eco conscious brands, which I love. Of course reduce is the first step, minimizing is a priority. However, do you think it is more eco friendly to buy a more eco friendly made shirt, or one from a thrift shop? I know creating the demand for the eco friendly made items is important. But I wonder your perspective on this.

Do you know of any good textile recycling programs for clothing that can no longer be worn?
It totally depends on where you live... some places have great programs and others unfortunately don't have any. Try searching for textile recycling in your area or contact local thrift stores- some will send clothes they can't sell for recycling and will either take the clothes or direct you to some places.
what do you do with your clothes and shoes when they reach the end of their life?
With clothes it depends on the item and how worn it is- I might wear them as sleep/lounge clothes if they're comfy, use them as cleaning rags or send them for textile recycling. I actually have a video more about getting rid of clothes ruclips.net/video/9BghGwUiqbw/видео.html&t :)
Shoes are pretty difficult to recycle, some places have recycling centres that will take them but generally it seems like they end up in the trash. :(

When do you decide that something is too worn out to wear it anymore?
Right now, I'm facing the problem that a lot of my clothes has stains or holes because I wear them so much, but I still think it would be wasteful to replace them.

I have the same issue! I have a couple t-shirts with tiny holes on the back, but I would feel bad getting rid of them when they still do the job!

See clear. Live sheer. ...if the holes are small, there is a video called 'how to repair a hole in a t-shirt' on professor pincushion's channel. otherwise, you may want to keep a few clothes for gardening, painting and other messy tasks. hope this helps!

for the love of God, buy some new boots.
Why? I love my boots, they're easy to repair when needed and it's really wasteful to replace them if I don't need to.
