    How to successfully defend a lie:
    1. Discredit the truth by blaming the origins on an enemy (ie. christian missionary)
    2. Provide no proof of your counter point
    3. Make a statement such as: "only the commoners believe {insert truth you want to discredit}, educated folks dont fall for this"

    The Star and Cresent:
    The star and crescent is the best-known symbol used to represent Islam. The symbol is not Muslim in origin, it was a polytheistic icon adopted during the spread of Islam, and its use today is sometimes controversial in the Muslim world. The crescent and star are often said to be Islamic symbols, but historians say that they were the insignia of the Ottoman Empire, not of Islam as a whole.

    • @moizahmed4705
      @moizahmed4705 4 года назад +55

      The early Muslim community did not really have a symbol. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islamic armies and caravans flew simple solid-colored flags (generally black, green, or white) for identification purposes. In later generations, the Muslim leaders continued to use a simple black, white, or green flag with no markings, writing, or symbolism on it.
      It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world. When the Turks conquered Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1453, they adopted the city's existing flag and symbol. Legend holds that the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman, had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty. There is speculation that the five points on the star represent the five pillars of Islam, but this is pure conjecture.
      For hundreds of years, the Ottoman Empire ruled over the Muslim world. After centuries of battle with Christian Europe, it is understandable how the symbols of this empire became linked in people's minds with the faith of Islam as a whole.
      To claim that Muslims represent their religion with the crescent moon because they worship it is no more different than claiming that since Judaism adopts the Star of David symbol, it follows that the Jews considers it as an object for worship, or that Christians worship the Crucifix since it is used as its symbol.
      Islam never teaches moon worship, in fact it condemns it as the following verse confirms:
      _"And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. _*_Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon,_*_ but prostate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship." [Qur’an __41:37__]_

      m b Muslims follow the lunisolar calendar or to put it in short the lunar calendar that’s why every Islamic month is determined according to the moon sighting further more the crescent moon and star Although Islam has no symbol doctrinally associated with it, the symbol of the crescent moon and star (hilal in Arabic) is now widely used to symbolize Islam. This symbol has no religious significance in Islam and Muslims do not hold the crescent and star to be holy or sacred. The crescent represents progress and the five pointed star, light and knowledge. The moon is the appointed sign of times, seasons, fast and feast, and governs the Islamic calendar. The five points of the star can represent the five pillars of Islam, the essential elements of the Muslimfaith.

"Erh Dr Shabir could you please tell us about the significance of the crescent moon symbol on all Islamic literature and other objects?"

    • @moizahmed4705
      @moizahmed4705 4 года назад +18

      @@moizahmed4705 It's kind of you to attempt an answer. However there is more work to do still. For one I wouldn't give Islam benefit of the doubt any longer. You have to agree with me that Islam has been getting the free ride far too long. I could site several areas for proof. 1. Jesus in the Bible is a totally different figure to the one found in the Quran. Muslims will never tell you that. Instead they want to believe that. The result is that many many people have ended up being Muslim without intending to. Free ride by Muslims. You want to debate this? Please don't. The figure in the Quran is named Easa. Who's Easa? Translated into Hebrew you come up with the name of Jacob's twin brother Esau. How can that be mistaken for Jesus?
      Does Islam care for the truth? Why not clarify this?
      Back to our topic:--Did any of the pagan Arabs worship the moon at any time? Where did they worship?
      What is the accurate translation for Allahu Akhbar?
      Google search......"God is greater"
      Right. Greater than who?
      Even Wikipedia is somewhat inaccurate.
      Allah means "The God"
      So exact translation should be "The God is greater" I see too many problems already. You cannot explain away everything.

The four Gospels aren't reliable because it contain fabrications, such as Johnanine Comma, and contradicts each other regarding the story of Resurrection and it's authors are also anonymous.
      Second of all, how all of this has anything to do with your baseless claim of Allah being a lunar deity? Perhaps you are trying to run away and divert the topic after being approached by a Muslim because this claim is no more different than claiming that moon is made of cheese.

      @Bosin Bosinino - Yeshua is called the "SUN of Righteousness" in (Malachi 4:2). It could be a fitting Christian symbol for the Anointed One. Isho (Yeshua) was crucified on a cross or perhaps on a horizontal beam attached to a tree or on an upright beam. Both the Apostles Paulus & Addai use the "cross" as a symbol for Christianity & the burdens (or sufferings) that we bear (1 Cor. 1:17-18; Gal. 6:12; Addai 28:8). Both are legitimate symbols for the Christos or Christianity. - However, I don't see how the moon could be a symbol for Islam. So there is a difference.

    1. The moon God referred to in this interview is a pagan God worshipped thousands of years ago and still worshipped until this very day in Islam. Muslims still try to deny the clear historical link between their worship of Baal the Moon God.
    2. Historically, we know for certain that the Muslim Prophet tried to convert people by adopting certain elements from the Holy Bible and the Torah. They simply played this card hoping that people would see the clear link with Muhammad's teaching and these two great books.
    It was a very simple ploy to give further credence to his teachings.

      Who is YAH or JAH??? It's YAHWEH or JEHOVAH
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iah
      Another thing Christians think "Iah" is actually "Lah" but it is actually "iah" NOT "Lah"
      Small letter L -> l
      Capital letter i -> I
      Looks the same
      So "Iah"(iah) and "lah"(Lah)" looks the same but different
      The moon god's name is "I(i)ah" or "Yah"
      Google it !!! See the deception of missionaries !!!
      HalleluYAH or HalleluJAH (Praise the Moon God) !!!!

So he later related his Allah, the pagan moon God, to the eloah, Yahweh, holy Spirit and started preaching his pagan Hubal as God of Abraham, musa, isa, dawed, Noah, Ibrahim... The crescent moon is the ancient symbol of the moon god "Sin". Another depiction of Sin is with a long flowing beard with horns, just like depictions of Moses. Moses spoke to God on Mount Sinai (Sin + Ai (mountain)) and Jews worship in sinagogs (temples to Sin, the moon god). A surah of the Quran begins with the words "Ya Sin". At Haran, Khalifa Marwan built his palace on the site of the temple of Sin. The followers of Sin fasted during the month of Ramadhan and celebrated the "Fitr" festival when it was over, and even prayed using extra takbiraats. The worshippers of Sin refered to him as "Allah" as he was "Allah o Akbar" - the greatest of the gods, as he was elevated to be THE premium god - that is the meaning of "Allah". Even the word "Akbar", which means "greatest" - greatest compared to what/whom? Other gods in the pantheon. This is really not very complicated. If only Shabir Ally bothered or managed to actually read a book outside of what serves his own interest, he would grasp just basic human and religious history.

      Second, of course there are other "gods" that people have made up, like Horus. But by saying the shahadah "La ilaha illallah", you are actually also saying "there is no god WORTHY of worship EXCEPT God. Therefore your point is completely baseless and makes no sense.
      Allahu akbar, as in greatest, means God is the Greatest. What kind of question is "compared to who"? Allah actually means "God" in Arabic, even Arabic speaking Christians and Jews say "Allah". If you look into an Arabic Bible, you will see "Allah" in it. So does that mean Christians and Jews also worship the moon god? No.
      The Quran even explicitly states not to worship the moon:
      Chapter 41, Verse 37:
      “And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah (or God), who created them, if it should be Him that you worship”

So if Allah thinks a 1300 year old Quran will be enough for the people of post Muhammad era, don’t u think it will be an injustice for us who are being born without having a living prophet?? And another thing is, the Muslim God, I mean the God prophet Muhammad described us, did he have some certain interests on Arab community, maybe that’s why he has sent his all messenger in Arab World, not the other side of the World. There is a little bit more to it than Shabir is admitting too. I think he should go in to how the Arabs were worshipping a pantheon of gods and Hubal = Allah was the kings of the gods just like Zeus was the king of the Roman gods and had three daughters, Al - Uzza, Al - lat and Manat. Now the argument is that Mohammed elevated this god to the supreme being and that is how monotheism was born in Arabia. If it is a fallacious argument that it should be easy to disapprove. Now most Muslims have no idea about any of this (just like the interviewer who appeared clueless) and I would hope that I would at least know about the Satanic verses. That would be a start.

Just like knowing that Yauhu and El were both canaanite gods that got smooshed together into the one God YHWH doesn't invalidate Judaism. The Prophet knew if there really was only one God, then She must be the same One God of the Jews and Christians.

If so I don't understand understand why people choose to remain Muslim if their prophet does not intercede for them and their "The God" won't even do so much as perform as simple miracles for his followers. At least Mary, Jesus and Joseph have appeared to people every throughout the ages helping them and relaying messages of hope but also doom.

      This verse doesn't really detract from the fact that the Arabic pagan religion of the time still has huge influences on the Quran and Islam. In the pagan religion Allah was the moon God. He was worshipped by facing towards the kaaba at multiple times a day. People worshipped the moon god by circulating the kaaba. They kissed the black stone. Etc... Ramadan was the month of the pagans to revere the moon god. All the rituals of Islam come from that Arabic paganism. Islam was clearly a way of incorporating the popular faiths of that time, the abrahamic ones, with the cultures and traditions of the Arabian pagans. It was also a way to clearly gain power and to create an empire that could take over the world which is what happened. Jesus is the only answer. Muhammad, his life, and Islam overall really represents the lusts of life and Jesus represents the truth in the kingdom of God. You can clearly see by the rituals of Islam, their dress codes etc... It's a culture (not a faith) that was forced upon the world through invasion. Even the reverence of the Arabic language by Muslims is deifying the Arabic culture. There's nothing special about a language, and Arabic was comprised of many others anyway. But that reverence of the language was born out of pride of the Arabic culture of the time. - Not so different to how Hitler wanted to spread German culture around the world. If Hitler defeated Britain, people would be speaking German in England. The same way Arabic is still spoken and read by people all around the world, but of course almost none of them can actually understand it because understanding the language would make Islam less likely to be accepted by people. Almost all the translations of the Quran deny the contradictions and hide aspects of the actual meaning in the Arabic. Islam is completely false and falls apart completely when you look deeper into it. I was a Muslim for my whole life and I would defend it all the time but that defense was never out of a selfless love, but a selfish love of what I was born into and the pride of my Islamic nationality. Haha. Islam is more a nationality than a faith and it's more a nationality than a religion. And the defense of Islam is really just nationalism.
      I really hope you find the truth in Christ. Only through him can you find salvation. Islam is of the devil and will only lead you to hell. Jesus Christ is the son of God and he died for your sins and rose again. This is the truth. I hope you see it. If you don't it won't be for this reason or that reason, it's not because of logic or reason, or the seeking of truth. The only reason you won't accept that as fact is because you love yourself and your life too much.

    • @kbg12ila
      @kbg12ila 2 года назад +1

      @UC2oQBJSTBAlYQdtXOMFGfew Even if that were true and Allah does just mean God. It still doesn't change the pagan influences. The reverence of the Kaaba is pagan. Pagans would worship stones in Arabia. Islam says the kaaba was created by Abraham and the hajj was performed by all true believers of the abrahamic faiths but that has absolutely no evidence. So many practices of abrahamic faiths exist today and no where is there ever a mention in the whole of history of any abrahamic faiths before Islam practicing the ritual of hajj or kissing of stones (and if it were a true practice of the Abrahamic faith then when Jesus came all his followers would have practiced it but theres no evidence anywhere for anything like this ever happening). The only places the circulating of a temple, and worshipping of stones, kissing them etc... Was in Arab pagan culture and Hindu pagan culture. Hindus circulate temples 7 times. Arab pagans in historical documents have been said to be worshipers of stones.
      Just look at images of people at hajj all bowing down to a black box and if you can't see the paganism and Idol worship there you are truly deceived.
      God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. - John 4:24
      “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men … but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.”
      Matthew 6:5-8
      These verses clearly condemn Islam and if you are going to say the bible is corrupted then the answer is very simple. Any argument you give to prove the corruption of the bible is a million times more damning on the Hadith when you look at how it was produced and so if you claim any of the bible is incorrect you have to claim the hadith is incorrect and untrustworthy. Then maybe you'll say you only agree with hadith that allign with the Quran but if you do that, you can't actually use any hadith that give any extra information that the Quran doesn't hold. The Quran also says it's fully detailed and complete and easy to understand and so hadith can't ever be used to aid in understanding of the Quran or aid in giving more details because "Allah" claims to have made the Quran complete, fully detailed, and easy to understand. If you do this the religion you know as Islam and all your practices fall away. The word Salah doesn't mean contact prayer if you can't use the hadith for additional information. In the basic use of the Arabic language it could mean a multitude of other things. The Qurans true meaning is lost in many areas and almost all Islamic practices and instructions are found in the hadith. Also If you look to how the Quran was made. It was only ever recited orally in Muhammads lifetime and only written after he died by his followers. Many of the people who remembered the Quran best, died and when manuscripts were formed, many versions were formed in different Arabic dailects etc... And depending on how it was recited the meaning is different between these versions in areas. According to hadith these versions were burnt but not all of them were burned and even today Muslims in north Africa have a different Arabic Quran than most in the rest of the world, hadith also mentions multiple times that verses and chapters of the Quran are lost. I could go on and on and on but the basic truth is that the bible is accurate and it's accuracy can't be denied. And honestly it doesn't matter. There's no information or defense you could give because I used to give the same defenses. All I'm trying to do is make you understand out of love that if you seek God or care about your soul. You will let go of Islam because your attachment to it is out of self preservation not truth.
      I love you so much. I know that may sound weird but I wouldn't care to tell you this stuff if I didn't think you were in need of saving. I could just keep it to myself and be happy because of what I know... But when I see Muslims praying towards an inanimate object and doing rituals like kissing stones which used to be worshipped by pagans and doing it in the name of what they believe is God is terrible. It's the greatest deception of Satan in the world today.
      I mean I don't really need a response at this point, not because I'm afraid or have any doubt but if you debate this then it's just gonna keep going back and forth and it won't end. I hope you see the truth. Look at images of people bowing towards the Kaaba and touching it thinking they're being holy. Look at images of people kissing the black stone. Then look at Hindus paganism. The way they touch idols and bow towards them. It's no different. Look at Christians and followers of Christ, other than Catholics who are received you won't find true Christians and true followers of biblical texts doing anything resembling paganism.
      Anyway. Hope you see the truth my friend. Bless you. :)

Nothing to do with the beliefs of Islam.
