Hi is the chain tensioner "roller" ( the black piece) suppose to have have groves ? Or is it suppose to be smooth from inside where chain rolls on it @ 20:18 bottom right?
My chain tensioner next to the wheel just doesn’t work at all for some reason and my chain I’ll loosen the back wheel and hit it back and tighten everything back up and it will just get loose again and throw my chain off if I go past 13mph like I gotta ride slow and take off easy to keep my chain on also it’s jerky sometimes if I’m not on the gas if I’m trying to cruise low speeds sometimes it’ll jerk then do a sudden pull this is my first mini bike I don’t know any shops that work on them other than name brand dirtbikes any ideas?
The jerking thing sounds like a overheated clutch and for the wheel...is the tension adjusters on the wheel there? Because those keep the wheel from moving forward and loosening and if the tensioner wheel itself is sliding forward then you gonna have to find a way to keep it from doing that. And also the ct200u doesn’t have that style tensioner.
gone wrong garage like how you did on the video I was told they tension the wheel from some guy those tiny bolts next to the main axle bolt those little bolts I don’t think their doing their job and also could it be an alignment problem that’s throwing my chain also? I’m just gonna order a new chain clean my sprockets and pray just got the bike and can’t even ride it I don’t know why it keeps throwing that chain cause the chain doesn’t hold tension it’ll be solid for a little then get loose or if I hit the gas too hard it’ll pop off I took a picture of my sprocket alignment and I don’t think it looks properly alighned
ninjaxgaming gaming channel make sure the tensioners aren’t cracked...I had one break one time and the wheel got out of alignment quickly...but yeah if those are good and you have both the nut and jam nut on em you should have no problem with the back wheel loosening up
gone wrong garage I can loosen the back wheel just fine It will slide when I loosen it it’s just the little bolts next to it they don’t look cracked but I know their not doing their job and the other side doesn’t even have one it’s just the brake line and the main axel bolt I got pictures I can send you of it some guy was telling me just get a torque converter I mean I’m willing I have the money their it’s just I don’t feel the need for that I just want to ride the bike I payed 350 for you know 😂 the only problem is this chain popping off and it’s giving me hell i have always been a dirtbike guy and wanted to give a mini bike a try for the trails and this chain is a nightmare
ninjaxgaming gaming channel well if one is missing that’s probably gonna give you issue and if the one missing is on the chain said then your really gonna have problems...remember you don’t just slide the wheel back...you use those tensioners to tighten the chain! You tighten both of the tensioners equally till you get the chain tension you want then you use the jam nut on the tensioners to keep the tensioners from backing out and then you tighten the axle...and a torque converter won’t fix the chain issue lol
Very thorough chain video. I just picked up a low hour BT200x. Chain needed adjustment and found that the rear brake assembly was loose. I tightened it, and found that assembly is also rubbing inside the brake drum. Metal on metal. Can't figure out an adjustment or how to center it. Any guidance?
I don’t really know what you mean by centering it but there’s a adjustment for the brake cable on the bottom and a bolt that holds on to the brake. and there’s 2 adjusters on each side of the wheels and those need to be evenly tightened and loosened to keep the wheel straight.
@@BreezeWithTay it’s funny how someone would say that “I worked hard not smart” or “that would take me 30 seconds” well if ya had any damn brains whatsoever you would know why it took me so long...I was explaining everything and working with a camera, cutting a chain to length not installing a pre cut perfect fit chain, replacing both chains, moving wheel forward, adjusting brakes as required...so yeah don’t be that guy to make stupid comments cause I can assure you the task I had would take much longer than 30 seconds
You didn’t show fixing the tensioner because you put the short chain on wrong. You had to take the short chain off and run it through the tensioner correctly and anyone following the video step by step would be putting it on wrong because you skipped fixing what you did wrong the first time.
Some of these people in the comments are slow! Changing that jackshaft chain made a huge difference! Thanks for the vid! 💯🙏🏽
Did you have to go back and put the drive chain over the tension wheel? You originally went under it.
I came to ask the same thing. Because I had to rewind to see if the second chain goes over the tension wheel
Yes, sorry, trying to record and be informative caused a mistake😂

That dislike came from a dude who paid someone to do this . LoL
Facts!😂😂 most people wouldn’t need to even watch this video to be honest🤷🏻♂️
how do you put the chain back on if it falls of the gears?
Love how you use gravity to your advantage buy doing it on the bottom of the sprocket
Very helpful video bro thank you!
How did you do the predator swap? Was it complete swap over? How did you fit the black plate onto the crank shaft? Did you change the heat shield
Look at my channel! I have a video on that subject and I explain everything!

My bike is making a grinding noise at the tension roller thing by the clutch. Do you have a vid on fixing or replacing that piece ?
I don’t but yep the tensioner is definitely your problem! Had it happen to me and it’s easy to replace…just a nut that holds it
What size is the small chain ?
You can either use 41# #420

Your chain tensioner
My chains are not in alignment. Probably 10 degrees difference.
Oil the chain with chain lube and it will not seize up.
I did.
My chain popped a year of having bike.
He forgot to put the chain on top of tensioner 😂
I fixed it...if you watch the whole video you’ll see it magically changes😂
I recently bought one but went for a ride chain came off do you think it needs to be tighten? Or am I too big for it?
It wouldn’t fall off because you are to big...it’s either to loose or sprockets misaligned or worn bad
Coo I appreciate it ... I tighten it... allgood vato gracias
