I now have both the WH and WF 1000-XM4. I tried using both with my Galaxy S10+. With the WH, I used the wired connection. With the WF I connected wirelessly. The WH were way louder with way more bass and more everything just about. It wasn't even close. The WF's are great earbuds but nowhere near as much volume or bass as the over the ear model. So I am surprised to see reviewers say the sound is so close. It is a night and day difference in my experience.
@@TheBigKing0 Still a huge difference but wired connection is slightly louder and clearer. But that could be because wired connection on the Samsung S10+ has an upscaling mode.
@@mafiq3806 You can but I don't do that. I'm not into using apps to adjust headphone settings and compile personal data. I just want to pair and listen. I keep it simple. Stock settings are just fine but probably would sound a little better with tuning.
I just got my wf1000xm4 yesterday after using the wh1000xm4 for a while now & I absolutely agree with your take on the quality of sound in the wf1000xm4. The sound is simply unbelievable! It produces mind blowing sound quality
man ur rich...i only got the wh-1000xm4 and im planning on the sony wf-1000xm3 as my earbuds cause it's cheaper than airpods pro...tho the xm3 doesn't have ipx4.. which i really need for jogging...so im considering airpods pro as well...or just buy the wf-1000xm4 since it has ipx4 Edit: I just bought the airpods pro..idk why. it came with the education edition for my m1 ipad pro so that's why
the biggest difference is probably the life span. I don't know about sony but TWS because of their small size, get busted a little while after the warranty ends😥😥😥 i dont know about the durability of wireless headphones either. many reviewing channels don't talk about it because the issue starts after a long time but it is a very important thing to keep in mind
Ive had bose quietcomfort, airpods pro, beats fit pro, samsung, and i dont even know why I tried these, BUT am I glad I did, once i tried them u realise how 280 dollar headphones should sound and just how horrible airpods pro and beats sound in comparison, LOVE these i dont have any issues with them, the sound is incredible i Love it
You have the actor Christoph Waltz' smile, mister! Haha. Cool to see his son hustlin' on the side 😜😂 Thanks for this video review. Just picked up this pair of earbuds from the Singapore Airport duty free.. super exciting. Cheers!
Great piece. A further variable to consider. I find that with ANC over ears (not Sony), you get a compression sound with every footstep when walking or worse running. That's why I switched to Sony in-ear. Have the xmf4 in ears on order with extra delay for the whiteish ones.
owned both since day one of their respective lunches. I use over year for movies, connected to my TV as my roommates need to sleep at night (poor sobs) and the in-ear while working. One thing to say, they don't sound the same... slight difference on both, but i like them both for their respective uses.
I have Over ear XM4 they are amazing but now in summertime its too hot to use them ( I use them at work). So if earbuds are so similar to big ones then I will buy small ones also.
@@ffmde8268 Because everyone's ears are different, you're going to get different answers from different people. But I'll try and be as objective as possible... I honestly think that you *could* have issues with the XM4's. I own the Jabra 75T, Samsung's Galaxy Buds +, as well as the Sony and Pamu Nano earbuds. Out of the entire group, Sony's fit isn't nearly _as_ secure. The Samsung Buds+ and Jabras are the best fitting of those I own. Hands-down.
I used to swear by over ear. I thought they would have the best sound quality. These new earbuds have excellent sound quality. I like the convenience and portability of ear buds. Appreciate ipx4. Noise cancelling is the best I have experienced.
I started with the earbuds but decided to buy the bigger headphone too. They serve both purposes with station use and mobile use. The headphone is definitely more comfortable and sound better but the earbuds aren't bad either. I require them to have good quality sound and ANC. The Sony does deliver both. I go a different route than a typical consumers. I buy used with issues i have to fix so i pay fraction of the new store bought. That is an advantage of knowing electronics and high techs. The same for phone too. I don't buy new because i have NO need to. I just simply buy 1 or 2 years after they are out used. Still good and prevalent for many years to come. One thing for sure you will shell out big dollars if you chase and must have the latest toys!!!!!!!!! I buy to use. I do not buy to impress anyone!!!!
Be careful! This guy is either payed to say this or just have really really bad ears. There's absolutely NO comparison between WHXM4 and WFXM4. The hard Truth is that the over ear version is 100 times better when it comes to: Sound quality Coding Sound volume Noise canceling And most importantly SOUND QUALITY. when you go at 80% volume on the WF version because of the noise around you you'll directly notice how the sound quality is really bad compared to the over ear. Now don't get me wrong the WF is really good compared to other earpods but not in the same league with the WHXM4. And you don't even need good ears for that. WHXM4 has real physical base in it but even if you're into classical music and need only mids and highs after some tuning the over ear is just unbelievable. Can't say the same for the WF (earpods). Sorry man but your video is misleading a lot of people that's not cool.
@@timohypponen4272 Well since this video is really misleading I'll do my best to answer your question in a neutral manner. Now first of all WH-1000XM2 is not in the same league at all. The wh-xm3 is 100 times better for example (30 times better nc, 30 times better sound quality and 40 times more comfortable).. and the xm4 are even better. Actually even the WF is better than the xm2 so an upgrade will definitely make a deference. Now if you want to compare nc between the WHm4 and WFm4 you have to understand something very important. The WF achieves good nc mostly because of the inear memory ring (the plastic tip in the ear) it's different than the other eartips. It is a bit harder and basically it fills your ear and takes its shape. Because of that most low frequencies are cut out. The active nc then will try to cut out the rest of the frequencies (mid and high) however it's not really the best for comfort compared to the normal tips, most likely your ear will start to hurt specially when you take it out (when I tried them after 30 min I wanted to pause the music so I tapped on it and then I realized my ears were hurting quite a bit) Noise canceling on the WHm4 is completely active (no inear weird stuff) it cancels everything low, mid and high. There's no doubt it's better if you're walking outside of if there's construction around you. Now where it completely destroy the WF is with people's voice, it cancels out voices much much better than the WF. WF would give you the impression that it's cancelling a lot of noise but it's not true when you're in a car it would cancel out the engine noise quite well but not the voice of the baby crying next to you. The problem is that your brain would naturally cancel out engine noise after 5 min but the noise that is actually bothering you is the baby or the guys chitchatting behind you. In that field the WH is the winner no questions asked. I'd say the WF cancels noise up to 75-80% compared to the WH ... But those 25% are high frequency noise which are very bothering. For sound quality the WH is not tuned right but in the headphone app you only need to increase the mids by 5 and lower mid by 3 and then take a listen! It's like heaven on earth. Don't hesitate if you have more questions but in my opinion if you are not actually looking to buy ear pods for a specific reason (putting them in a pocket putting in one ear only etc) then you shouldn't even hesitate go with the headphones. I bought Samsung Galaxy pods (old generation for 120€) and WH-XM4 when I'm in my bed I would use earpods other than that I'm always with my xm4 headphones.
@@samuellazare3549 Thank you for a very good answer! I will get the over ear ones. I will workout in them so worried if they will last but i used the xm2's at the gym and running for years until i ran in heavy rain for an hour then they broke, probably because i did not let them dry properly. Are the xm4 worth it over the xm3's in your opinion? 100e price difference.
@@timohypponen4272 Your welcome happy to help Well the deference is minimal really! The NC is almost the same (99% the same) the sound is a tiny bit better but you can get the same results from the xm3 by raising the mid a bit in the IQ in the app. To be honest the only real deference is the new functions of the xm4: Speak to chat (when you start talking it stops music and puts you in transparency mode). On/off detector (stop music when headphones are not on your ears). A little better microphone for phone calls. A little better touch control (honestly personally I didn't feel that it got improved but they say that). Connect to 2 devices in the same time. I guess that's pretty much it, none of those is important for Gym use at all. And if it breaks because of sweat and heavy use it's not as bad since you paid 100€ less. Actually the xm4 only weak point is how good the xm3 are! My advice get the xm3 unless you catch the xm4 at a huge discount, unless you want to use one of the new features of the xm4 like connect to 2 devices. I have tried both and honestly xm3 are rock solid still in the competition in top 5 headphones out there.
They have the potential for HiRes audio. But you have to do it yourself to exploit this potential. For completely "normal" use, however, there is not much point in operating these headphones in "HiRes/LDAC" mode. These headphones are simply too quiet in the important frequency ranges to really make a difference. Don't get me wrong. The Sony WF-1000XM4 are damn good headphones. However, if you really have an audiophile trained ear and also own sources with high resolution, or at least CD quality audio, you will never be able to experience the full potential of these headphones without a parametric EQ. Yes, the equaliser in the Sony app can straighten out the worst. But you will never get a precise linear reproduction. They sound very muffled by default and don't offer much in the higher mids and airy range. The bass range is also quite dominant at +6dB. PreAmp with activated limiter (because otherwise these headphones lose too much of their final level): -4.8dB Filter 1: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 42Hz, Q= 0.33, Gain= -5.9dB Filter 2: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 480Hz, Q= 2.00, Gain= -1.5dB Filter 3: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 742Hz, Q= 2.00, Gain= -0.5dB Filter 4: Highshelf, Freq.= 1000Hz, Q= 0.707, Gain= +3.6dB Filter 5: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 2424Hz, Q= 7.00, Gain= -2.1dB Filter 6: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 3010Hz, Q= 5.00, Gain= -1.1dB Filter 7: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 6101Hz, Q= 5.00, Gain= +1.5dB Filter 8: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 6940Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= +1.9dB Filter 9: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 8000Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= -1.2dB Filter 10: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 8130Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= -1.4dB Filter 11: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 9530Hz, Q= 5.00, Gain= +2.1dB Filter 12: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 10556Hz, Q= 5.00, Gain= +2.9dB Filter 13: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 12000Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= +7.3dB Filter 14: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 12910Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= +4.9dB Filter 15: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 14180Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= -3.8dB Filter 16: Bell/Peaking, Freq.= 16690Hz, Q= 10.00, Gain= -4.0dB FIlter 17: Highshelf, Freq.= 17000Hz, Q=0.707, Gain= -9.6dB This correction is based on measurement data from crinacle and a linear InEar Target Curve. My experience is that many details that were lost before are suddenly present and the stage is much bigger and more defined. Just like the separation. Since LDAC is mainly only supported by Android anyway, I can recommend the Poweramp Equalizer from the PlayStore the most. I don't know if the SoC in the headphones is powerful enough to process such a lot of filters directly in the headphones. But if Sony offered it with a firmware update and then offered it via app as a Natural Linear Profile or something, these headphones would really have what it takes to be the best TWS in the world.
I use WF at work yesterday and noticed that they block way more sound compare to WH. Its crazy. but if I use air pressure its more loud even with wind noise reduction. Its ok for outside if its windy but when you use more powerfull air pressure its bad 😃 but I like WF more than WH now
My honest opinion - I bought the silver ones (although they're far from silver, they're Tan). I differ from every video I've seen in most people say they're uncomfortable for long periods. I think they're uncomfortable at first insertion each time but I quickly forget they're in. They sound incredible and the noise canceling is top notch. The touch spot is horrible and I always have to keep trying and they collect dirt like crazy. It's as if the material sucks the dirt from your fingers, so bad in fact that I'm tempted to cover the sensitive areas and spray paint them with a clear coat. By far the best ear buds I own for noise canceling and incredible sound but also the worst on touch, app and dirt collection. I cleaned them today with isopropyl alcohol since soapy water wasn't enough and was at least happy to see the paint didn't come off. My samsung+ buds are in for repair and I will go back to them for my daily work buds and only use the sony's for the gym. Incredible product but the cons are horrible.
I have both, end up not use the in ears at all. The over ears are by miles better. Yes the in ears are... in ears but I'm gonna look for other manufacturers.
Are you switching from the airpods pro? I get the sony are better sounding and have better anc… But the comfort and convinience of the airpods are tough to leave behind 🤔
Like I said, it comes down to personal preference. I prefer over ear because I find them more comfortable. I have friends that prefer in ear. Everyone's ears are different, it really depends on YOU and your ears and your preferences
@@electrichimp Marc's absolutely right, of course. But perhaps sharing my experience will help. . . It took me almost a month to get comfortable with mine. I almost returned them. The tips that came with them didn't work *for me.* But they may for you. Over the first few weeks I tried many different kinds between silicon, memory foam, and hybrids. Then, just days before my _"return by"_ date expired, I received my *SpinFits CP360.* _They changed my world!_ _Soooooo_ comfortable! I think it's because of the patented joint in them which allows flexibility in the ear canal while maintaining the seal. Without that, I had pressure on my ear that was not comfortable after an hour or two. Now I don't even notice they're in! Also, I thought the earbuds were too big and were going to fall out of my ears all the time. Again, _until I got the right tips._
I prefer the in ear over the over ear because Sony made the WH-XM4 with a cheap plastic hinge. On my second pair(1st broke) after they damaged from light pressure, I used gorilla glue to put them together, and then they broke again on top of the other broken part . I got a aftermarket hinge to do my own repair, but I ended up breaking one of the pieces of the connector and I have a useless set now. These headphones are too expensive to be so frail on the hinges . If you ever buy these, make sure you keep them in the case anytime they come off your face
I bought WF-XM3s, because my WH-XM3s were so awesome, but the weird fit wasn't compatible with my lobes, and they kept falling out. So far, that's stopped me buying WF-4s, but these great reviews are starting to make me wonder if it's worth the risk...
One thing's for sure, with the *WI-1000XM2s* you don't have to worry about one side falling out and landing on the ground, or getting lost in the grass. 😎👍
I have few over ear headphones (Bluedio Victory, Skullcandy Crusher, Nuraphone, B&W P7, Sony WH-1000xm4) but I always prefer in-ear earbuds not only in the gym but also at work all the time. Freedom and freshness feeling as well as equal sound quality makes it easy to choose for me. No over ear headphones can beat bass of in-ear at least for my ears. I am on the hunt for perfect in-ears now. Just returned B&W Pi7. Using wired AKG at work and Jabra 75t for gym. I’ll try Sony WF or Devialet Gemini…
Yes, my daily driver is Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3. I love it so much I bought 2 pairs straight away. Looking forward to see that has changed for True 4. For podcast listening nothing can beat Airpods Pro 2.
I gotta make the habit to stop watching your videos coz it gets pretty expensive pretty fast! 🤣 wnjoyed this video again Marc! Thanks for this! Appreciate it!!!! And again, thanks for saving me from the Airpods Max 😂🙃😂😅😅😂😂
With sound quality the Wf’s sound miles better. I put the eq like this: 400 -2, 1k 0, 2,5k +3, 6,5k 0, 16k 0. The Wf’s are so much smoother and not harsh at all while the wh’s sounded completely harsh and muddy at the same time.
Very much a personal preference thing tho. In my experience, WH indeed sounded harsh cymbals and slightly muddy bass. But the WFs remained a complete joke in sound quality despite the flaws of WH. Everything sounded a little too... away.
I just got the WF-1000XM4 earbuds to replace my WH-1000 XM3 Over ear headphones. I travel frequently and I was really hoping these would replace the Bulky XM3’s. Im so disappointed! The ANC is barely noticeable…compared to my XM3 headphones. Im not sure if I got a defective pair? Or my ears are just super sensitive…I even tried to reset the earbuds, and tried all three size foam tips. I will be returning these.
I like headphones on at home but also when walking somewhere. But exercise I prefer buds because then I don't sweat all over them. But they have to be able to stay in my ear.
Have you tried clanking your cutting teeth together (top and bottom teeth just clanking on each other, the mandibular left and right incisor teeth) while wearing the Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones? It makes a weird noise in the ear. Try it please.
I just bought the WF today and also have the WH. The ANC in the WF is non-existent and the WH is great. I'll be returning the earbuds because I want to be able to turn on ANC with no music and block out sound which the WH does very well and the WF does not at all.
I have the WH and the WF are arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to try both on top of one another to see how much noise they'll cancel :D And with Samsung S21 Ultra I can connect two pairs of headphones at the same time, so I'll try to play music through both too :)
@@2_nk_324 Oh, the WH (over-ear headphones) are sooo much better when it comes to sound. I loved the sound quality of the WF, but the bass was weak and they were uncomfortable, so I had to return them :( For in-ear true wireless earbuds I would recommend WF-C500. They have a more fun sound with very good bass, which is important to me when I work out. The WF-1000XM4 have a bit more clarity, but the C500 definitely sound more fun. The overhead WH headphones are the king though. Absolutely the best sound quality of all of them.

Don't get me wrong, the sound quality is awesome and super clear on the WF, but the bass was a deal breaker for me. WH are flawless to me... The key for me will be the in ear fit. So many earphones in the past have disappointed me as they would always pop out - Looking forward to trying these out while walking, running and working out, especially if the sound and noise-canceling are similar to the Sony headphones. Love the headphones.
I'm using both WF and WH daily at work for many hours and its really crazy what they put in those small earbuds that they sound as good as big ones. It's magic. I adjusted EQ so they sound very simillar now. But I must say that WF have better NC. Its just that its in your ear canal, compare to WH which sits around the ear. I found WF blocking more noise from my surrounding, but its just not so comfortable to use them every day for many hours. You can get ear infection etc.

The Sennheiser's sound quality is a lot better, but the XM4s are superior in almost every other way so it depends on your priorities and what you use them for.
I use my AirPods Pro for outdoor activities. For home use I use the Sennhiser HD 599 wired headphone with a btr5 to get true lossless audio. My xm 4 were my first ANC headset and I love them as well.
I don't know why you would say there's not much difference. I have the wh 1000xm3 that's the last generation over ear and we'll it spanks the wf 1000 xm4. Base and volume much better on the over ear. Also yeah u can up the base in the eq but then u can do that on the over ears as well and then they have way more bass so kinda misleading there.
what about the battery? Will it last 7-8 years? What are the options for changing the battery? (note: my current sony xb155 is it's 4th year (still rocking without any problem) and I used previously another sony one for 8 years)
Hello there. Do you know if the headphones are good for working out? I’d like to go jogging with them on, but I’m worried they’ll fall off my head. And/or my sweat will ruin the headset.
Hot ears is actually one of the reasons why I'm considering switching from the WH-1000XM4 to the WF-1000XM4. Even when just sitting in a chair in the evening to listening to some music, I get uncomfortably hot ears after about 30 mins.
Personally, they make my ears sore. Although I think any earbuds with foam eartips will make your ears sore. So I swapped them for silicone tips and now they feel more comfortable. Youll sacrifice just a little noise cancellation but theyre still far better than most anc earbuds
I would prefer the in - ear cause it’s just more convenient rather than headphones due to its similarity so yea that’s my take ….. lemme k what u guys think and ( really like ur channel ) xoxo
The noise cancelling isn’t that great with WF. I still can hear the jet engines in airplanes and people and it drives me crazy. Idk what else to buy My old Bose in ear wired ones had the best ANC and isolation I’ve ever heard
😄 You're the second reviewer I've heard say that the reason you're getting either of these is for ANC. I hadn't even heard of ANC until recently.¹ Now, I do enjoy the feature. It's great. But I have found that living alone and having a really good seal with my ear tips² provides plenty of sound isolation. Plus, when I finally was shopping for earbuds, I prioritized _sound quality_ and _battery life._ So getting that 4 extra hours is worth _possibly_ hearing a slight sound in between tracks. 🤷🏼♂️ I ended up getting the *WH-1000XM4* _"used"_ on Amazon for $200 (pristne condition). And I'm so glad I have both. I can't really wear the over-the-ear headphones in the summer, but they're going to be great in the colder weather. Anyway, I just want to say I really like this video. I just got done watching your _Sony versus Apple_ comparison, and I really liked your presentation style and format. I was excited to see you made this video. Though I have both, I never purposefully compared the two back-to-back. Naturally, I couldn't help but do so _casually,_ so it was interesting to see if someone else came to the same conclusions I did. A question did occur to me just now. *Do you find your spatial awareness compromised when you're using ANC?* I'm asking because I find myself bumping my head on things that I never even came close to bumping in the past. Like the refrigerator door. And I don't mean a device which may be sticking out a little further from my head. . .I'm talking about my head proper. 🥴 · •◦◎◦• · ¹ ─ I've been an obsessive music lover my whole life. A. Overhead/ear headphones have specific functions. B. In earphones/buds have specific purposes. C. There are situations of overlapping need/purpose. Point to this is: I have BOTH types. I USE both types. I ENJOY the Sound from Both Types. There is no reason to pick a favorite. I use the Type that best suits the occasion and/or as needed dependant upon the situation.
Bought the in ear version...took them back. Anc is ok because its in your ear canal. Sound quality is average Size is bigger than galaxysbuds 2 Trash imo
My town had fireworks going on my mom said it sounded like a warzone and these earbuds actually blocked them! That's insane! So if road workers and roofers come in the area I should be good? That is if I'm inside my house?
I think it depends on personal preference and how YOU like to bike, but for me personally I don't like riding with over ear headphones. I always wear a helmet, and in ear not only stays in better, but is also sweat resistant.
@@MarcTaraz thx brother, sounds very good that you are replying your viewers, I am always supporting you and forever keep up the good work... LOVE FROM 🇮🇳!
I have both the WH and WF1000XM4. I just picked the ear buds yesterday, for the main reason that I might want to go somewhere and don't want to have to carry my headphones. No offence intended but don't assume that people are going to buy just one, because that just isn't the case. And Marc is right about one thing. DO NOT assume that the over ear headphones are far superior in sound quality than their in ear brothers, because again that is NOT the case. These WH-1000XM4's sound SO good and are JUST as good as their over ear brothers.
I actually have the over-the-ear WFXM4 because they are very comfortable and have the best battery life but am now looking to get the WHXM4 for better mobility options. I have, honestly, been slightly disappointed with the noise-canceling with my over-the-ear headphones and was hoping the earphones would be a little better, however, I am not finding any reviews that indicate that this is the case, unfortunately. Maybe I just have a really high expectation for canceling my surrounding noise. So, here I am looking for a more mobile option. I also have small ear canals and most earphones fall out. I am hoping these will stay put. Have any of you found this to be the case for you?
I too have small ears and a lot of in ear earphones don't fit me, but the small ear tips do a pretty good job of staying in my ear. The noise canceling is pretty good too

Most of the times I listen to pop and edm so practically I'm inclined to bass songs. If possible please share me you're thoughs. As of I know at present Oppo Enco X2 is the best But recently launched Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (for Samsung users is the best) I want to know about opinion as well
Honestly that how i felt about the 3 buds and also the momentum twos. Although I found a cheap pair that sounded similar to the xm3s and they were only like 30 bucks when I got them. But I gave them to my brother I believe.
I just got the earbuds today, and I love them! But… I plug them in to charge, and everything seems fine in terms of getting them powered. But, even when they’re fully charged (as is the case), the LED stays on yellow. They’re still plugged in, but shouldn’t the indicator LED turn green or off when they’re fully charged? At a glance, I find it very confusing that the LED stays on yellow even though everything’s fully charged. Is my case faulty? EDIT: It actually seems to turn off after about 5-6 minutes. But, if I plug them in again, it starts over. According to the support documents, it should turn off immediately after being charged fully. Thanks for reading :)

Which one do you find has the better noise cancellation? The WF-1000XM4 earphones or the WH-1000XM4 headphones?

@@ffmde8268 Because everyone's ears are different, you're going to get different answers from different people. But I'll try and be as objective as possible...
I honestly think that you *could* have issues with the XM4's.
I own the Jabra 75T, Samsung's Galaxy Buds +, as well as the Sony and Pamu Nano earbuds. Out of the entire group, Sony's fit isn't nearly _as_ secure.
The Samsung Buds+ and Jabras are the best fitting of those I own. Hands-down.
@@CaesiusX i just ordered WH XM4 and the pulse 3d for gaming just to be sure i aint missing anything
I do not buy to impress anyone!!!!
how is anc compared
Be careful!
This guy is either payed to say this or just have really really bad ears.
There's absolutely NO comparison between WHXM4 and WFXM4. The hard Truth is that the over ear version is 100 times better when it comes to:
Sound quality
Coding
Sound volume
Noise canceling
And most importantly SOUND QUALITY.
when you go at 80% volume on the WF version because of the noise around you you'll directly notice how the sound quality is really bad compared to the over ear.
How good is the noise cancellation of wf compared to wh? I had the wh-1000xm2 and thinking of if ill get the wf or wh 4...
@@timohypponen4272
Well since this video is really misleading I'll do my best to answer your question in a neutral manner.
The active nc then will try to cut out the rest of the frequencies (mid and high) however it's not really the best for comfort compared to the normal tips, most likely your ear will start to hurt specially when you take it out (when I tried them after 30 min I wanted to pause the music so I tapped on it and then I realized my ears were hurting quite a bit)
Noise canceling on the WHm4 is completely active (no inear weird stuff) it cancels everything low, mid and high.
@@timohypponen4272
Your welcome happy to help
Well the deference is minimal really!
The NC is almost the same (99% the same) the sound is a tiny bit better but you can get the same results from the xm3 by raising the mid a bit in the IQ in the app.
To be honest the only real deference is the new functions of the xm4:
Speak to chat (when you start talking it stops music and puts you in transparency mode).
@@samuellazare3549 Thank you! I think ill go for the xm3, so you would pick those?

This correction is based on measurement data from crinacle and a linear InEar Target Curve.
Its ok for outside if its windy but when you use more powerfull air pressure its bad 😃 but I like WF more than WH now
My honest opinion -
I bought the silver ones (although they're far from silver, they're Tan). Incredible product but the cons are horrible.
thanks, I'm ordering them right now. My only concern was comfort for long time periods

_Soooooo_ comfortable!
LOVE the review. Thank you for this
Great review, thanks for comparing to the headphones as well!
The 24hr total on the in-ears are actually quite low..Others can go up to a total of 200hrs with the charging case..
What about the WI-1000XM2's? They might give a dad vibe but they're super comfy and are imo a better bang for your buck than the WF-1000XM4's.
One thing's for sure, with the *WI-1000XM2s* you don't have to worry about one side falling out and landing on the ground, or getting lost in the grass. 😎👍
In ear type for summer over ear type for winter. That why I have Bose QC 35 for winter and Sony wf-100xm4 for summer.
I got both and I find myself using the ease buds more than the headphones.
I don't know about for a watch but easy to switch between iPhone and iPad using a shortcut on both devices.

The Wf’s are so much smoother and not harsh at all while the wh’s sounded completely harsh and muddy at the same time.

@@randomguy1612 ended up just getting AirPods Pro . Extremely happy with the ANC
Subscribe to you because of your fairness to great products like Sony ❤️
I have both I feel the wf1000xm4 feels louder depending on your fit
how about sound quality? are wfxm4 better than wh? now im very confius which one should i buy😂😂
@@stinkyfire7255same here.. There are just so many mixed reviews
compare anc which is better?
😄 You're the second reviewer I've heard say that the reason you're getting either of these is for ANC. I hadn't even heard of ANC until recently.¹ Now, I do enjoy the feature. It's great. But I have found that living alone and having a really good seal with my ear tips² provides plenty of sound isolation. Plus, when I finally was shopping for earbuds, I prioritized _sound quality_ and _battery life._ So getting that 4 extra hours is worth _possibly_ hearing a slight sound in between tracks. 🤷🏼♂️
I ended up getting the *WH-1000XM4* _"used"_ on Amazon for $200 (pristne condition).
*Do you find your spatial awareness compromised when you're using ANC?*
I'm asking because I find myself bumping my head on things that I never even came close to bumping in the past. Like the refrigerator door. And I don't mean a device which may be sticking out a little further from my head. . .I'm talking about my head proper. 🥴

¹ ─ I've been an obsessive music lover my whole life. I'm in my early fifties and only recently managed to afford quality earphones and earbuds.
² ─ Tried so many, until I came across the _SpinFits._
Wow nicely written, loved the way you organised the comment
I have the wh1000xm4 and my wf1000xm4s are in the mail. Can't wait till it arrives. By the way, what's your take on the sound quality
Why thank you @@natalielee1067, that's so kind of you.
I hope you are well. 🙋🏼♂️
@@natalielee1067 Given that I get terribly verbose (as you can see above), I think I'd better ask _specifically_ which one you're asking about. 😁
@@CaesiusX Hahaha I'd say I'm just curious about the sound quality of these buds. Every review I've come across just briefly mentions that it is good. But that's the thing right, how good is good 🤣
I've had the previous gen over the ears and I love them so much that the galaxy buds I got for free with my phone have now died and I'm looking to purchase the in-ear versions💚 so...both?! 👍🏼
In my country the wh costs 270€ and the wf costs 280€ so I got confused and ended up getting the wf-1000xm4
Hahah
In my country the wh cost 370$ and the wf cost 325$...
Greta vidéo. Listening to it with my WF 1000 on ambiant mode while driving 😂
Bought the in ear version...took them back.
Anc is ok because its in your ear canal.
Sound quality is average
Size is bigger than galaxysbuds 2
Trash imo
How’s the pairing process on iPhone?
Extremely easy
Is the sound better than the sennheiser momentum?
My town had fireworks going on my mom said it sounded like a warzone and these earbuds actually blocked them! That's insane! So if road workers and roofers come in the area I should be good? That is if I'm inside my house?
La unica diferencia es la potencia ... el volumen... por obvias razones..
so nothing about mic? (
Bro you're just fucking great.
Hii marc!
I have a question on wh xm4's
Can I go for only cycling with wh 1000xm4? No more workout...
I think it depends on personal preference and how YOU like to bike, but for me personally I don't like riding with over ear headphones. I always wear a helmet, and in ear not only stays in better, but is also sweat resistant.
@@MarcTaraz thx
But is wh 1000xm4's still worth it in nowadays?
Oh for sure. Still highly recommend
@@MarcTaraz thx brother, sounds very good that you are replying your viewers, I am always supporting you and forever keep up the good work...
LOVE FROM 🇮🇳!
You need more adjectives than "mindblowing" ;)
Great video
they sound better then the over ear headphones.
Muy bien hecho
I have both the WH and WF1000XM4. I just picked the ear buds yesterday, for the main reason that I might want to go somewhere and don't want to have to carry my headphones. No offence intended but don't assume that people are going to buy just one, because that just isn't the case. And Marc is right about one thing. DO NOT assume that the over ear headphones are far superior in sound quality than their in ear brothers, because again that is NOT the case. These WH-1000XM4's sound SO good and are JUST as good as their over ear brothers.
which one you think have the best noise cancelling?
@@youroldunknownfriend Again they're both good. If I HAD to pick though, it would be the over ear ones
Poor volume pal very low in sound doesn't punch try heavy metal and sond soft trustme just got ripped of 179e today
The noise canceling is pretty good too
I just bought the WF today and also have the WH. The ANC in the WF is non-existent and the WH is great. I'll be returning the earbuds because I want to be able to turn on ANC with no music and block out sound which the WH does very well and the WF does not at all.
@@MarcTaraz how the hell do they even stay in the ear. Mine keeping falling out when working out. There was a tip about massaging the whole shape of them in your ear canal but idk if I can trust that method while running but we’ll see I think I might return these and get headphones. Then on top of that I do shadow boxing so we’ll see if headphones can handle that
Everyone’s ears are different, nothing is a universal fit. I’ve found the XS ear tips on the new AirPods Pro 2 to fit better for me personally
For studying, gaming, watching anime and movie's, listening to powerful bass song which one should I choose headphone or earphone? Comfort is most important thing and heat ?
In between
OnePlus Buds Pro vs
Sony XM4000 vs
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro vs
Oppo Enco X2
which one would you pick?
As of I've experienced, Sony's was little bit Bulky and not comfortable to my ears, bulky design (didn't experienced paring with the app) and
OnePlus's was fitting properly and even I liked the sound signature more (I did connected it with my Heymelody app and experienced).
Most of the times I listen to pop and edm so practically I'm inclined to bass songs.
If possible please share me you're thoughs.
As of I know at present
Oppo Enco X2 is the best
But recently launched
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (for Samsung users is the best)
I want to know about opinion as well
Honestly that how i felt about the 3 buds and also the momentum twos. Although I found a cheap pair that sounded similar to the xm3s and they were only like 30 bucks when I got them. But I gave them to my brother I believe.
Over ear
looks like hongkong ( the shots )
Well I guess it's the earbuds😅
Sony💥❤️
I just got the earbuds today, and I love them! But…
I plug them in to charge, and everything seems fine in terms of getting them powered.
