Love it!, and always good to know I am not the only one in this world with a warped sense of humour. You do scare the crap out of us though Chad when you let the throttle out. If there was anything I learnt about driving in Thailand is to do everything slowly. It must be unbearably hot on that bike sometimes and heat always rises off roads. So in those little towns, when you have a $3 meal, do you leave a tip? In BBK, I usually leave about 10%, or more, depending on the service. I do know in Bangkok, if you want your server or bartender to get a small tip, you need to hand it directly to the person. If you leave it on the bar or on the check service plate, lots of times it goes to the house. Just saying,

beautiful area, so far these mountains and area you just left looks like my personal favorite, I love rural & mountains, & my primary home joins a state park of 3,700 acres, and plenty of gravel roads, but gravel isnt too bad to me, what I hate is a road near me that I avoid, the state puts pea gravel all over 7 miles of paved road, there was a police chase a few years ago, guy got away, & shortly after they started graveling the road, & keep it graveled all year, me & wife almost went down 2 years ago at 15mph in a curve, & at 25mph in 4 wheel vehicles your sliding, but I do that for fun. but very dangerous.

I've travelled around Thailand a lot, I speak read and write basic Thai.
Whether anyone speaks English is very hit and miss, and even more so once you're away from tourist areas.
You'll be able to get away with ordering basic food in English, like Chicken Rice, and buying a drink, but other than that you're on your own.
Once you speak even basic Thai, you open up a whole new world to yourself.
I've learnt gradually over 15 years, and still have only very basic skills. It's incredibly hard. Don't leave it too late, and you'll need to commit a lot of time to it.
Without being able to read Thai, it's very hard for an English speaker, as there are 76 letters in the Thai alphabet, and we're only trained to hear 1/3 that many sounds.

Man, the absolute best thing you could have done- trusting your gut and just venturing out of Bangkok on a "motorbike!" I am truly enjoying this series of adventures compared to all of your videos, seriously! As I watch your videos, I feel like I'm right there riding the back roads alongside you virtually! I look forward to your videos more so now I think because your that dude that is doing what I would rather be doing right now, back roads on a moto bike cruising around Thailand's countryside and getting to see, smell, feel and become what Thailand is about as a country. How is that awesome bike holding up suspension wise? Hilarious- Nui and the goat dog! The foooooood, looks so good outside of hanging with family, the food hands down (and it's cost) continues to be my favorite element of Thai life. Q: Are you using your cell phone to navigate? How's that working out? Q: Laundry? Q: If you could have taken something with you on this journey you are on, what would it be? Lastly, hilarious when those skinny pink, yellow, green motorbikes zoom past you!!!! Stay safe and looking forward to your next videos!
