I lived in Loei for a year and a half back in 2012-13. Check out a little restaurant called Papiyap. About a half a klick east of the hospital on one of the main avenues. Great barbecue, sticky rice and somthai.

So in those little towns, when you have a $3 meal, do you leave a tip? In BBK, I usually leave about 10%, or more, depending on the service. I do know in Bangkok, if you want your server or bartender to get a small tip, you need to hand it directly to the person. If you leave it on the bar or on the check service plate, lots of times it goes to the house. Just saying,
it is a must..see you VDO from around, it is so me, same as you say, meet the local.. meet the reail Thai people... far far away from the big city`s.. 155 motorbike is big enough for a trip, big enough for trip around all of Thailand .. I've travelled around Thailand a lot, I speak read and write basic Thai. Whether anyone speaks English is very hit and miss, and even more so once you're away from tourist areas. You'll be able to get away with ordering basic food in English, like Chicken Rice, and buying a drink, but other than that you're on your own. Once you speak even basic Thai, you open up a whole new world to yourself. I've learnt gradually over 15 years, and still have only very basic skills. It's incredibly hard. Don't leave it too late, and you'll need to commit a lot of time to it. Without being able to read Thai, it's very hard for an English speaker, as there are 76 letters in the Thai alphabet, and we're only trained to hear 1/3 that many sounds.
I am amazed that you can go on Google Maps and drop the little guy on any road in this area and get a "on the road view" as they have photographed it all, every dirt road / path / trail included. I live in rural Indiana USA and they haven't done this near my home.

How is that awesome bike holding up suspension wise? Hilarious- Nui and the goat dog! The foooooood, looks so good outside of hanging with family, the food hands down (and it's cost) continues to be my favorite element of Thai life. Q: Are you using your cell phone to navigate? How's that working out? Q: Laundry? Q: If you could have taken something with you on this journey you are on, what would it be? Lastly, hilarious when those skinny pink, yellow, green motorbikes zoom past you!!!! Stay safe and looking forward to your next videos!
