You can tell when someone totally loses themselves in the song. Towards the end, the main singer was really into it. True passion.
I don't think I can hit the "Like" button enough. Shinedown is an incredible band and this song, in all its forms (especially this one), is so powerful. Even his comments before the song made me want to stand up and applaud. "You don't have to be programmed to be weak." I'll give him full credit but I'm borrowing that for some of my self defense lectures.

While i love the real one as you call it. This is great too it shows how talented Brent is this is not just a metal band. This is a band that truly has a heart and soul. Its rare to see such talent these days in the music industry. Shinedown writes amazing lyrics and plays even better. Brent can not only sing metal the guy can truly hold his own with great vocals. Haleys Comet Amaryllis and Unity show this band gets it. They know how to write powerful music that rocks too
I saw them live last month, seeing them again in august.. Meeting them too!!!! "Excited" doesn't even begin to cover it! Their music means so much to me!
I love to hear the explanations behind songs. I mean we listen to the songs and we can guess what it’s about by listening to the lyrics but in this video he gave us a window into what he was thinking when he wrote the song. I wish I had this knowledge about every song I listen to.

Not only is this song awesome but the reasoning behind it is even better. I have been bullied through the years and also have bullied some people. It took time to stand up for myself and when I finally did I realized that I was just as much in the wrong as the people that bullied me. It takes a bigger person to stand up for what's right rather than to not take action. It is not condoning violence in anyway shape or form. Also, on another note shinedown has been around awhile everyone!!!
NHL 13 brought me here. i just liked the sound but never really thought about the lyrics. now that i understand what they are talking about i like it even more.

i must have watched this about 10 times today already love it!
If you get the chance to go, don't waste it. I only caught 40 minutes of their set as i had to leave for the train, but what i saw was absolutely phenomenal. You don't fully understand how much power Brents voice has until you see them live.

Brent changed his life when his son was born. So he told in an interview. He was drug-addicted and not that kind of guy he is right now. Brent is like good wine - he grows better with age ;-)
