generally don’t care for new age i-can’t-believe-it’s-not-sans-aus sonic.exe shit but this is some seriously impressive stuff. the music’s not half bad, it actually pays tribute to the original story in some capacity, and ooh la la the artstyle is FANTASTIC; i strive to make low-poly stuff that looks this good.
I remember reading the creepypasta as a child and it holding dear to me ( sonic fan) other than that, it was a horrible read. But seeing as it’s been revamped and updated, I’m AMAZED. Truly am happy and amazed at the hard work and love it’s been getting again. Definitely creeped out but it’s done it’s job.

I don’t see anyone else mentioning it so I might as well: Rewrite’s design is nothing short of genius. It’s so simple and uncanny, you wouldn’t think much of it past the strange disturbing design at face value, although later on at around 4:32 we can see the true colors of this design. The ears and back quils are shaped to mimic horns and demon wings. Such a subtle yet incredible detail. Not only that, but the pose he is in is basically a direct reference to Baphomet himself, especially on the move sprite where he holds up 2 fingers on both hands instead of one, really pushing that idea that this is a demonic entity of wrath and supernatural power.

I don’t know if anyone else has said this but, I feel like when Lord X laughs it’s a sense of he’s to powerful for Rewrite to control. That’s why his part is so short that’s what I think anyway.
If you asked me, the other 'demon' Sonics we've seen before might seem spooky/scary. But with Rewrite? I can actually believe that this one is the ACTUAL demon haunting a Sonic game cartridge, and the other "Sonic.exe" styled entities just being sides of the main one. Just so unassuming, if a bit uncanny. And instead of going for the cheap jumpscares or horror factor right away, instead slowly luring you in without realizing it. Promising to "take you to his world without a word, to leave your soul" before you end up trapped in the game for all eternity. Stuck with a demon who doesn't wish to harm you/torment you maliciously, but just wants to "play a game, and have some fun". Even if their definition of such isn't the same as you imagine, as you're trapped with them for eternity unable to escape and at their whims. Essentially being the fae version of a digital entity who's concept of 'fun', 'play' and so on makes you wish for death by the end while they just assume it's a good time.
I don't know if it's just how non threatening Rewrite is, but I don't even feel like he'd even torture you if you got your soul stuck in the game, if my understanding of the lore of this lil guy is correct, he can just change the game he's in, and if he's aware of the player, I feel like it's quite courteous of him to make everything 3D and FNF if that's what you were doing previously. He says that he'll take you to his world and leave you without word, but I don't even feel like that's in a "im gunna kill tales and nuckle n eggman b-cuz i wanna be scary, n u will b next >:)", and more of an ambiguous statement, I can't imagine this guy doing anything like horribly bad honestly.

4:24 is my personal favourite part and alot of people's others. I also like how Rewrite's voice goes high pitched and low pitched, it adds more soul. oh yeah, the pixel style for the last part really makes you realize how tall rewrite is.
If you guys didn't notice yet when rewrite is floating in middle of screen you can see two dark wings on his back and his ears are kinda pointy like horns so he could be an entity with horns and wings
I'm so mad at myself for not finding this mod sooner. This version is the best of the exes, makes him super unique. I love how Rewrite copies the others but makes it into his own style. I absolutely love the fusion design of Majin and the original exe Sonic

Y'know, I always thought that since Re-write keeps adapting to the player, I always just assumed the other EXES was just re-write trying to see what got to you the most. Shifting to the canon-Majin, to the original form of SonicEXE, the fucked up fusion of the latter two, to the infamous LORD X and then finally to himself.
I forgot how chilling it was to realize that Rewrite was pursuing not Boyfriend, but you. Not to mention the fact that his character design after he charges you is subtly references depictions of the demon Baphomet.

When i saw Rewrites design for the first time, i was genuinely uneased by it. But his beginning vocals were... odd soothing? Why were they soothing?! Nothing that creepy sound be soothing! But overall i love this concept its cool!

I think the only thing the mod doesnt has so well its the chart in my opinion. A bit weird. But the animations, man, those are perfect, also the music, I think its a totally banger, especially in the Rewritte part. That part where says: "Let your soul leave your body. I am God and you're nothing" Its totally fire, as the other phrases. And where Rewritte appears, man, the music I dont know, but that chill vibed are AWESOME. Totally a good mod.
Right I LOVE the subtle imagery of the design when the perspective shifts, his ears are curved like horns, his spines spread out from his back and almost resemble wings, and his hands point up to Cheset and down to Geburah like Baphomet, chilling when it clicks

I love rewrite for the reason that he shows the player unlike other mods and characters he can move during the song which not many characters can even do.he proved that he is no longer bound to the invisible chains that keep him in one spot and can move whenever showing your in his world now

If you have the mod downloaded you can go into the files and click the file named "songs" and it will have Trinity and you can see the instrumental and just the voices (including the lyrics)

Something I just thought of and I find interesting. What if this BF was never BF? I know BF is supposed to be our proxy so we can explore the world and enjoy the music but what if everyone here was a proxy of Rewrite. Rewrite just using the entire mod as a lure to get us to play the game and by the time Rewrite shows up on the scene he's already ready to claim your soul and just lets you know you're screwed. What makes me think this is at the end of the song Rewrite moves in the direction of the notes you play and as BF, Majin, Execution, AND lord X's voices mixed in with his own. Nothing suggests he can just mimic his victims. He's just the story writer that created Majin, Execution, and lord X as his persona's in his universe. BF could very well just be a persona he uses to lure in more people. Giving them a "hero" to play as to stop the "villains" making it much easier to claim your soul. EDIT: Even more proof to the idea at 4:55 we even hear BF's voice mix with Majin's in these notes. BF was never real. I'm calling it now. That's precisely why we never see his face. It'd be a dead giveaway that we were being played right from the jump.

If you asked me, the other 'demon' Sonics we've seen before might seem spooky/scary. But with Rewrite? I can actually believe that this one is the ACTUAL demon haunting a Sonic game cartridge, and the other "Sonic.exe" styled entities just being sides of the main one. Just so unassuming, if a bit uncanny. And instead of going for the cheap jumpscares or horror factor right away, instead slowly luring you in without realizing it. Promising to "take you to his world without a word, to leave your soul" before you end up trapped in the game for all eternity. Stuck with a demon who doesn't wish to harm you/torment you maliciously, but just wants to "play a game, and have some fun". Even if their definition of such isn't the same as you imagine, as you're trapped with them for eternity unable to escape and at their whims. Essentially being the fae version of a digital entity who's concept of 'fun', 'play' and so on makes you wish for death by the end while they just assume it's a good time.

Something I just thought of and I find interesting. What if this BF was never BF? I know BF is supposed to be our proxy so we can explore the world and enjoy the music but what if everyone here was a proxy of Rewrite. Rewrite just using the entire mod as a lure to get us to play the game and by the time Rewrite shows up on the scene he's already ready to claim your soul and just lets you know you're screwed. What makes me think this is at the end of the song Rewrite moves in the direction of the notes you play and as BF, Majin, Execution, AND lord X's voices mixed in with his own. Nothing suggests he can just mimic his victims. He's just the story writer that created Majin, Execution, and lord X as his persona's in his universe. BF could very well just be a persona he uses to lure in more people. Giving them a "hero" to play as to stop the "villains" making it much easier to claim your soul.
EDIT: Even more proof to the idea at 4:55 we even hear BF's voice mix with Majin's in these notes. BF was never real. I'm calling it now. That's precisely why we never see his face. It'd be a dead giveaway that we were being played right from the jump.
