I have to admit, the old version is still better in my opinion. It actually felt uncanny and uneasy, this feels like the average .exe song. I also don’t like how the lyrics don’t rhyme anymore, or how there’s not much build-up for the lyrics.
I find myself liking and missing parts from both. I just look at em separate, especially since the lyrics are so different, the layout seeks remade but with so much new it doesn't feel right comparing them. I do agree the of definitely felt more uncanny and creepy and them removing the stippy stomps wounds me. Though the almost dancing he does in the new version feels Pretty in character

rewrite is better due to knowing what his character is supposed to be and knowing what the lyrics are referring to while silly billy is still good but not many people know about the character, thinking that he was a mimic trying to take place of the person. like that one goosebumps story which is weirdly presented the same now that I think about it-

I have to admit, the old version is still better in my opinion. It actually felt uncanny and uneasy, this feels like the average .exe song. I also don’t like how the lyrics don’t rhyme anymore, or how there’s not much build-up for the lyrics.

I find myself liking and missing parts from both. I just look at em separate, especially since the lyrics are so different, the layout seeks remade but with so much new it doesn't feel right comparing them. I do agree the of definitely felt more uncanny and creepy and them removing the stippy stomps wounds me. Though the almost dancing he does in the new version feels Pretty in character
