@@stephanieyee9784 Well English is a West Germanic language, while I think Danish is a North Germanic one. They’re similar, and we do have some Norse loan words that crept in at the time, but I don’t think Old English was based on Danish.

Old English is based on Danish I think. So even though they weren't the same they were similar. Perhaps in the way Spanish and Italian are.
