Thank you, Fidelia, I always love your videos. As someone who moved recently to Mallorca - from Australia - I can recommend a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the bucket when you wash your floors. The entire house smells amazing. However, I am worried about it becoming fashionable to plant eucalypts, or gum trees, outside of Australia, especially near homes. These trees are extremely flammable - they LOVE a good forest fire, and they can also colonize an area very quickly. Nothing much else can thrive near a gum tree, as they exude a chemical that deters other plants (a bit like walnut trees). Be vigilant, pull out any self-seeded saplings if you don't want a fire hazard on your doorstep. I have seen them explode with my own eyes.
I’ve been wanting a eucalyptus tree for a while now but living in New York I’d have to keep it small as a potted plant. I’m sure it’s easier said than done, but I’d love a cutting from your tree to try to propagate 😊😊
Fidelia, do sea buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides) grow on Mallorca? I have planted a few varieties in 8a but would love to see a video on the various uses and extractions. Also do you have plans to visit other continents to give details on their flora?
Hey F ❤ Was that your boyfriend/husband or Father there in the background at 0:50 ? 😊 You look gorgeous, and you must smell amazing with this on you. 👃😍 btw, I just made this Eucalyptus in olive oil and I use it for my skin. 🥰 the whole house smells like Eucalyptus. tc. 🥰😍🤩
I wish eucalyptus trees grew naturally here in Mallorca but unfortunately the ones I have in my garden have been introduced 😉 and that explains the absence of koalas haha 😂🥰
