🤙 This is a great way to be an indirect mentor for the new kids on shore who are not sure what they want to do. Options, options, options. General Dynamics electric boat grabbed me right out of college. I was a engineering major in electronics, radio, radar, communications. This was back during the Vietnam conflict. I spent two year at sea on the USS Coral Sea CV-43 as a contractor. I did not wear the uniform. Keep up the great videos and interviews. ✌

That's super cool though, and I wish companies like that did more recruiting on high school and college campuses for skilled trades positions. (Or professional engineering positions for that matter).

Rhode Island Here 😊😊Excellent , it doesn’t look it’s age down there , but up keep is the key 🔑 , in 1987 to 1989 I was in the coast guard on a 82 foot patrol boat out of Newport Rhode Island 🏝 , it was the last of the old ones , the 95 s went first , they engine room looked like that , clean and tight 😅😅 would take off for 2 weeks 50 to 100 miles off shore no issues , maintenance 😊😊😊😊 the inside video of the of operation is a 10 😊

Those Cat engines can run upwards of 2MW each. That's way more power and volume than I expected to see. These tugs are a lot bigger than I thought

They are pretty big boats. They just don’t seam so next to the giant ships. Thanks for watching 🤙

Pretty cool. I'm confident I could be productive in that role. Need some training on the electrical (specifically redundancies and switching). Everything else is bit like wearing an old hat. You pay attention to the machine. A new vibration, a change in frequency, deviation in loads and consumption.. everything has causation.
Mike appreciate taking the time to show us around.

Who own the boat ? You should interview him . And show you pulling with the tug instead of pushing

    • @ShainAndrews

McAllister. He says it in almost every video. Him? Quite the assumption.
