There really are a surprisingly large number of dead seals. One alpha male elephant seal can charge once and run over and kill like 10 babies and a couple of their moms. Definitely stay a decent distance away from a harem if you ever go check out seals. Lots of young males get injured fighting each other. They are also such a protected animal, we never help or interfere with them and let nature do it’s thing with seals.
There’s even a beach where all the involuntary celibate males go (like, 99% of male seals).

Matts one of your most informative explanative videos on How To and Why's. Most important how to catch sand crabs. Why use soft shell's, how to hook them and the importance of soft shells, eggs, egg attractant color. Your explanations of why you prefer the Carolina rig vs. Hi Lo rig... No one could ever argue your reasoning. Smelts?? There must be stripers there too as there's bait but the problem may be smelt schools are larger and more aggressive than stripers. Maybe one needs to move to another location or deal with the smelts, as stripers may be there too???
