Transferring photos onto a wooden log using white glue and a plastic sheet is a fun and creative DIY project that allows you to display your favorite pictures in a unique way. Follow the steps below to easily transfer your photos onto a wooden log:
    Materials you will need:
    - Wooden log (smooth surface without any flaking bark)
    - White glue
    - Plastic sheet (transparent)
    - Scissors/Cutter
    - Brush or sponge
    - Printer and A4 plastic sheet(for printing the photos)
    - Varnis spray (optional)
Step 1: Prepare your wooden logChoose a wooden log with a smooth surface. Make sure it is clean and free from any dirt or debris. If necessary, you can sand the surface to remove any imperfections or rough edges.
Step 2: Print your photoSelect the photo you want to transfer onto the wooden log and print it on A4 size Plastic sheet(paper) using a printer. It's important to print a mirror image of the photo, especially if it contains any text. You can use photo editing software or choose the mirror image option in your printer settings.
Step 3: Apply white glueSpread a thin and even layer of white glue onto the printed side of your photo. Make sure to cover the entire surface and avoid leaving any areas without glue.
Step 4: Place the photo on the wooden logTake your plastic sheet and place it over the wooden log, covering the area where you want to transfer the photo. This will protect the wood and help in transferring the photo smoothly.
Step 5: Press and smooth out the photoCarefully place the glued side of the photo onto the plastic sheet, aligning it with the desired position on the wooden log. Gently press down on the photo, starting from the center and working your way outwards, to remove any air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion.
Step 6: Let it dryAllow the photo to dry completely. This may take several hours, so be patient and avoid touching or moving it during this time. The drying time depends on the type and thickness of the glue used.
Step 7: Remove the backingOnce the photo is completely dry, carefully peel away the paper backing. Start at one corner and slowly peel it off, making sure not to damage the transferred image. If there are any stubborn areas, you can wet the paper slightly to make it easier to remove.
Step 8: Finishing touches (optional)If desired, you can apply a clear sealer sprayotherwise varnis spray to protect the transferred photo and add a glossy finish. This step is optional but can enhance the overall look and longevity of the project.
And there you have it! Your photo is now transferred onto the wooden log, creating a unique piece of personalized artwork. You can display it on a shelf, use it as a rustic centerpiece, or even gift it to someone special.
