    She is a great dancer, but I hope dancers today are not subject to the seduction of their teachers as she was with Balanchine...I think their relationship was inappropriate.

      Thank you so Suzanne for being such a superlative artist and collaborator! And for your dedication to your art! Suzanne was Balanchine's muse. Suzanne took supreme care of herself and knew how to handle the situation.

      @@tradewindsfilmshow can a child know how to handle the situation? she was 11 or 12 when he first took her under his wing, but she looked even younger, chosen because she had a tiny underdeveloped body coveted by ballet

      @@tradewindsfilmswhen she refused to marry him, he destroyed her career and she was blacklisted in the world of ballet. her and her chosen husband lived in poverty as social outcasts until one of the many letters she sent him over several years begging for forgiveness was finally answered

      @@sylbishop5793 hardly. She came to NYC on her 15th birthday and 2 years later joined the company. They became romantically engaged when she was 20 and with the great encouragement of Suzanne’s mother (as Suzanne relates in her autobiography) so check your facts…
