It is one of my favourite song too and danced beautifully.
I wish balls still exist. I want to try dancing ballroom dances maybe with a friend since I don’t plan on getting married. I also love watching people dancing whether they do it beautifully or awkwardly as long as it shows their emotions. I think if balls exist, there will be more people interested in learning these dances.
Balls do still exist, and you don't need to be married to ballroom dance! Find a local club and get involved. In my experience most dancers are delighted to welcome anyone new.

Hey quick question, I've never seen the movie but is this used for Christmas season? Or what is it about?
The animation is about Anastasia, princess of Russia. In real life she and her family died horribly. The animation shows Anastasia’s life if she stayed alive. It’s a beautiful cartoon.

That just takes the Viennese waltz, it is a dance that goes for sway, when you do it it feels like you are floating across the floor, I love doing it.

In Hungary we have this ball/perfomance day during senior year in high school when we perform dances and waltz is one of them. We dress up in wedding dresses and tuxes and learn the viennese and english waltz, and Once Upon A December is one of the most popular songs at these performances

Dance worthy of a royal prince, and his beautiful elegant-dressed princess! ~ Reminds me of comment made about Fred Astaire: He always insisted when being filmed, that choreographed dance-sequences go unedited ( if I recall )! In other words, the dance would be continuously filmed from beginning to end. -- No disrupting edited breaks. ( And usually he and partner were well dressed! ) So obviously, the performance had to be flawless! ( Far cry from today. ) ~ He was a consummate perfectionist, and master professional. And I'm sure he ( and Ginger Rogers ) would have admired such elegant fluid graceful dancing as here presented. -- Beautiful, and very well done!

One of the finest and most melodious songs, and the dance choreography is great as well. The only problem - it may not be appropriate at a wedding - the song refers to the Bolshevik uprising against Anastasia’s family and their massacre and the supposed lone survivor poignantly remembering her family and the good old days.
