Dogi looks too old, he's only 29 this time, but the design makes him like a 40 man! He's not playable (except Ys seven) but at least he's a major supporting character to Adol through the series! He needs a bit care! I like him a lot in Ys Lacrimosa despite he's unplayable!
For Ys 9, after playing through it, I'm fine with dogi not being a playable character in this one. This is because the story just has such a large focus on the city's secrets and the monstrum that Dogi really judt isn't that significant to the plot for this one. But as always he serves as the best support you will get though.
Exciting stuff - everything’s looking good to me but I worry the city and or exploring will be a bit barren from what they have shown so far (enemy encounter/npc wise) just don’t want it to feel empty. Looks like we get a good shot of some npc’s in the city this time though. Also it looks like you have one party member with you in fights instead of two. Wonder if they will keep the attack types or drop them

The current port is fine. It just doesn't run well without Windows 10. Almost all of the people who complain are still using an older version of Windows and outdated hardware.

Ys 9 definitely takes place after Ys 7 or 8... It's pretty far enough ahead in the timeline where Adol probably stops being human maybe? I imagine one day Ys takes a twist and throws Adol as a antagonist at you. "Either you die a hero, or you see yourself become the villain".

I think it will follow the direction of rules of the world. Seven had root of all creation, Celceta had Akashic Records which could rewrite reality (or just read from it) and Lacrimosa had evolution. If my guesses are correct, this game will have lovecraftian take on dreams and reality.
@@Gnidel Seems like about Curses since the protagonists are half human and half monster in abilities and looks... I don't think cat people showed up in any of the ys games, it was mostly humans, elves, and "gods".
