This is one of their most iconic songs, one of my top favorite of theirs for sure. Thank you Amber for really appreciating this gem of a song. “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” and “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” are some of my other favorites.
I agree 100% with these two selections. I would add Mysterious Ways for Jay to have a more energetic song to jam with, as well as Where the Streets Have No Name for the same reason.
@Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT I never heard of U2 until The Unforgettable Fire was released. Pride played on the radio. After that took off is when U2 gained radio traction. Only after that did I hear other songs such as Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day, and other songs from their first 3 albums before The Unforgettable Fire. I am sure they were popular from the start in other areas of the world but that is what I remember in High School. 1984.
Amber gets it. So much emotion and they’re like a different band with each song. Seeing U2 live in concert is like going to the best church you ever imagined. I saw them right after 9/11 at the Baltimore Arena and it was just a big emotional experience.
That was a spiritual experience... Saw the concert before 9/11, and they can't back to town months after. Saw them again and I cried and cried. They're so... Yes. It's a spiritual experience. ✨
The Joshua Tree, where this song originates, is an iconic album, one of the Top-10 of the 1980s. An underrated gem off this album is “One Tree Hill” (My favorite U2 song ever) Amber and Jay, enjoy discovering!
U2 is1 of the few bands that never broke up and consists of all original members. Their 1st album came out in 1980 but they've been playing together since they were teenagers in high school in the 70's. In fact, Bono is still married to his high school girlfriend from when they were 16.
Cannot believe there is anyone who hasn’t heard this song. The album Joshua Tree was 1987 Grammy Album of the Year. They beat Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Prince that year. Any song on that album is stunning. Although they are a rock band, it’s not traditional 80s hard rock. But they started a theme of putting meaning back into rock songs. Not just sex, drugs and R&R. They were also very active in finding peace in Ireland. So their fame was not just music but activism as well. Still today. Oh and in this video, F.I.N.E young guys.
U2 Live from Slane Castle - “All I Want Is You” and “Where the Streets Have No Name” (they blend into each other). One of my favorite live performances ❤💥👏🏼
I actually think it's really cool that Jay gave his honest opinion, "it's just alright" is a perfectly valid response.. Hey, if you're not feelin it, you're not feelin it! At least we know it's his real reaction to the songs. :)
Although I disagree - how can you ignore the ever soaring raspy vocals???? If you’re not feeling it and you say so, that’s your honest assessment and to be respected
with or without you is a rock ballad.....this song made them the band thwey are today....their best album is arguably The Joshua Tree.....they were considered to be the biggest band of the 80s and 90s....Bono is still worth 700 million pounds today i believe
It takes a certain special kind of person to understand and really appreciate the music of U2. This man was on another level. Even after all these years, this song still sounds like it came out yesterday. Awesome!
This song is from The Joshua Tree album, which is true masterpiece I have listened to countless times since it was released in the late 80s. The music has kind of a roots rock sound which is a little somber and the lyrics on every song are thought provoking. Bono is a musical genius, but I also always need to give credit to The Edge, their lead guitarist, who is so integral to their sound.
dont forget the bands founding member, larry mullen jr. myself a drummer, i i always admired his drumming and thought he was as integral to the bands sound as any of the other members.
@hunchemlnarik. Absolutely. Larry’s is the heart of the band. And probably the most technically gifted musician. His unique drum beats were so critical to forming the band’s sound in the early years & to most of their biggest hits. But I love all four members. U2 are legendary.
The first time I saw this video was at around 11:30 PM back in 1987. NBC had a show called Friday Night Videos. It made me want to buy the Joshua Tree album.
The thing about U2 is their style has gone through more than a few different transformations over the years. Heck, when they first started out they were almost a punk band. This particular album came out in the late 80's (around 87 or so if memory serves correctly) and it was arguably their first solid commercial success and the album that really exploded them into the public consciousness.
U2 is alternative rock, new wave, post-punk. Much like Inxs, The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, etc. They were hard to classify, but fall under those umbrellas. Dance rock type of music. These groups have been for along time. '90s, '90s and '00s. Modern groups like Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Bloc Party, The Verve, etc too. As for ballads. It can be from any type of musical genre. R&B, rap, rock, hard rock/metal, soft rock, folk rock, , punk, new wave, alternative/indie, country, freestyle music, pop, etc. It just a slower emotional (mainly love, interpersonal, introspective,, etc ) songs.
This song is a soulful, heartfelt, and timeless classic! A ballad is a slower, moving song (like this one) that often tugs on your heartstrings. It's a type of song that can be blues, rock, country, etc., and is not relegated to a specific genre.
when this album came out ,you could not go anywhere socially without hearing a song from it,miss those days one of my favorites of u2 is an older song " i will follow" their song " beautiful day" is a gem
This song made me a U2 fan. That whole Joshua Tree album was fantastic. And then in the documentary Rattle and Hum they were followed on their US tour. It's interesting that Amber is wearing a B.B. King t-shirt because he was a guest in one of their concerts and in the movie it shows him at the rehearsals reading the lyrics to When Love Comes To Town and being seriously impressed by Bono's lyrics even asking him how old he is, LOL. Also you see drummer Larry Mullen getting very emotional during their visit to The Sun Studios and Graceland because he is such a big Elvis fan. He got to sit on one of Elvis' motorbikes after Bono charmed the tour guide, LOL.
This is my absolute favorite U2 song ever and I gotta admit it hurt a little bit to hear Jay say it was 'just alright'. 😬😞 It's pulled at my heart since it came out when I was 16 years old. ❤
Oh man, me too!! This song has so much power, calling out from the deep, full of emotion ….maybe even some relatable pain & struggle. This song is huge. Jay missed out on the fun.
I was 12 when this song was released and the power, meaning and pure mastery was lost on me as a young man. Now nearly 50 this is one of my all-time favorite songs and it always teleports me back to mom's home-cooked dinners and family board game nights with Mtv on in the background.
This was the song that was their first major hit in USA back in 1987. This song moved them from just being well known in Ireland, to being known worldwide. Also, U2 can be put into the 'Alternative Rock' genre.
To be fair, Pride (In the Name of Love) off their previous album-The Unforgettable Fire-was a huge U.S. hit as well. It didn’t hit #1 in the country like this song, but it was way up there & played non-stop on the radio.
@@AndTheRoadGoesEverOn - Wow…that was before my time, but I always thought that ‘Pride’ was first released in the early 1990s. I hadn’t realized that it was from 1984. It would appear that U2’s ‘Pride’ was truly ahead of its time, since the genre of the song was more so the type that became more common in the 1990s Alternative Rock scene. The fact that the song didn’t depend on Synth as was common in the 1980s pop-rock scene, but while being highly innovative with the instrumentals and the vocal style, places this song as a 1990s genre released a decade before its time. 🍺🍺🍺
The beauty of U2 is their diversity and passion. Bono says every U2 song is a gospel song. This one means multiple things, his relationship with his faith and Jesus, and also his amazing beautiful wife whom he met and started dating the same week the band formed when they were kids in school. He and Ali are soulmates, still married, still in love.. he says she saved his life. It's a beautiful love story and in his memoir Surrender he talks about this song in relation to his relationship with Ali. He has written a couple songs for her; The Sweetest Thing and All I Want Is You. All I Want Is You ... Live at Slane Castle is a must watch. It's beautiful and so powerful. Always PASSIONATE, Bono gives you his entire soul when he sings live. Love them so much. Special band who have changed the world with their music quite literally. I hope you dig deeper and discover the magic of U2.
U2's performance of "Where The Streets Have No Name" at the 2002 Superbowl halftime show was one of the best performances ever in Superbowl halftime history and was one of the most moving performances ever by a musical artist. The half time show was right after the September 11th attacks and I remember them performing this song while every single victim of the attacks was shown behind them. I remember vividly where I was when I saw this performance. Bono's singing and stage presence was, and will always be, incredible.
Huge hit song. I totally love your honesty, J. I'd much rather hear that than "Omg, what a great song. I think if you hear this song a few times, it grows on you.
U2 dynamically is about their distinctive sound as an ensemble. The Edge gives them that unique sound palette with his guitar effects orchestrations and use of delays . Together with Larry and Adam they form a precise rhythm section that serves the song underlying Bono's unique vocals and subject matter such as love, war, religion..they have delved into different genres often whilst still maintaining a uniquely identifiable sound.
Absolutely agreed. Bono (and Edge, these days) may be the face, but collectively they have a 'vibe'. Also agree Adam and Larry are one of the best rhythm sections in rock. Just what is needed, nothing more, nothing less.
One of my absolute favorite songs! I love how this song builds and then hits its peak with Bono's yell. Absolutely love it! The song is all about Bono being torn between his road life with the band, and his life with his wife Ali. A favorite Bono collaboration of mine is Bono and The Corrs- When the Stars go Blue
From “Where The Streets Have No Name” to “Mothers Of The Disappeared”, The Joshua Tree is by far the greatest album U2 has written IMO! Fun Fact: I have a tattoo on my back of The Joshua Tree they used on their album!!
This song always gets me, always. 💔 4:00 A ballad is a slow sentimental or romantic song, so yes I’d say this is a ballad. Any genre can have ballads, they come in many musical styles.
That guitar sound in the beginning right after "I'll wait for you" - they way it soars high and modulates down - OMG that has to be one of my favorite musical moments ever. It's one that hits me hard and I literally cannot keep from holding my breath and closing my eyes when I hear it.
This song is just about as perfect as a song can get. Beautifully arranged. Amazing vocals. Impeccable instrumentation. The video is even stunning. Amber....you always seem to get it ! ♥️♥️♥️
You guys are the epitome of Gen Z (or young Millennials) truly appreciating music from the 20th Century. You guys give me hope that today's generation doesn't have to miss out on all that good stuff we were so privileged to have a front row seat to when it was all happening. And most importantly, you prove that even though you don't have the nostalgia and memories of the times these songs hit it big which makes them so precious to us, you still nevertheless "get it" and have the APPRECIATION! 👍🏻
This is my favorite U2 song...has been since it came out when I was in 8th grade. It's hsunting, it's beautiful and perfectly evinces that exquisitely torturous feeling between loving and hating the same person.
80s to early 2000s is their best era. Bad, Beautiful Day, Last Night on Earth, Mysterious Ways, Still Haven't Found and With or Without You are all worth listening to.
6:13 says it all. Without a word, it utters the howling anguish of the emotional entanglement with someone who is bad for you, but you still feel what you feel. U2 was really good with moody songs like this. The entire Joshua Tree album has its own sound. Lots of their albums are that way, and that's cool. I think where this comes up short for Jay is that the song is musically fairly pedestrian, but where it seems to me that it really hit Amber in the feels at 6:13. Fantastic!
90's kids will immediately recognize any U2 songs from being constantly being played on the radio. Such a nostalgic sound, driving around in the back seat of a station wagon....
"With or Without You" is such a good song. One of U2's best! But it's really not a ballad. At its heart is in-fact about a romantic relationship, but it has turned sour and the subject is at odds with what to do or how to proceed. They can't live with the relationship, but also can't live without it. Much deeper when you truly dive into the lyrics. "See the stone set in your eyes, see the thorn twist in your side", "Sleight of hand and twist of fate, on a bed of nails she makes me wait" and "Through the storm we reach the shore, you give it all but I want more". Ballads are more about the love and getting it back, not fighting it. So it's essentially just an emotionally poised song. That said, the entire Joshua Tree album is excellent. Along with this song, there is also "Where the Streets Have No Names" and "I Still Haven't Found What I Am Looking For" (personal favorite) They are also incredible live.
Anything from their concert: "Live at Slane Castle" is great, especially "all I want is You.. and let it feed right into "Where the Streets Have no Name". One of the best concerts I have ever seen. I saw them in Montreal that same year. Incredible!
"It was just alright for me." This is the kind of honesty that I appreciate. You don't have to be wowed by every song that you hear. I personally love this song but I'm not here for my reaction, I'm here for yours. Keep keeping it real and I'll keep coming back. Thank you both for trying all genres and always having fun with it. 👍
Oh yeah.....this is the one. Deeply mysterious, a new thing out of the ether. connected to the old torch songs, but also changed songwriting going forward. A true, timeless masterpiece. I played this every which way....for the instrumental outro, put the record on a 3/4 speed. There is another version of this same video floating around more crashing waves and more of the girl. it's excellent.
I wasn't that crazy about this song either. I always thought it was cheap emotion.- the dramatic vocals, the long chords... Prince said that he could write songs like this if he wanted to. On the other hand, I thought Achtung Baby was one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
@@Faltor895 this song has to be heard live to be fully appreciated. They extended the song, Edge shreds the guitar and Bono adds extra lyrics - it’s spine chilling when heard live
So many different sides to U2, that's why they appealed to so many people. Not only that, they have great rhythms, great melodies, great riffs, and great lyrics. Just an awesome band all around. More U2 to check out: "Pride (In The Name Of Love)", "All I Want Is You", "Where The Streets Have No Name", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "Mysterious Ways", "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me", and "Discoteque".
This is one of my favorite songs from them. They are so talented and very generous. They donate so much money to numerous aids and causes. This whole album is amazing, Joshua Tree, one of the best albums.
The Joshua Tree was a HUGE album for them. Other hits from that album that you should listen to were "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".
Everyone was starting to get into U2 and their earlier stuff like some of the songs you've already listened to bloody Sunday, war. But when this album came out (Joshua Tree) and the released the song where the streets have no names. THEY BLLEW UP!! this album launched then into stratosphere. You should do where the streets have no names the video was shot in LA on top of a record store. LAPD came and shut them down.
Saw them live for my b'day in 2011. A great evening. Also saw U2 3D, their IMAX film that was shot across Latin America. That had some trippy 3D moments.
Up next for U2, definitely do "Still Haven't Found what I'm Looking For" they really have their share of songs where they take their time and reel the listener in most rock bands tend to do that, which is the best part of the style really an awesome band
I was in high school when this song was released and it's what made U2 my favorite band. I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in the 90s during their Pop tour and they are the real deal. Jay, if you want something edgier from U2 check out "The Fly."
I love your reactions. In 1991, U2 experimented with a different sound with their ground breaking album Acting Baby. A really cool U2 song that doesn't seem to get a lot of reaction to is called Mysterious Ways. It's a different sounding U2, but still enjoyable. Hope it gets a reaction.
I know so many people who think Joshua Tree is there best album, but for me, it's Achtung Baby! It could totally be the associations I have with those albums and what was going on in my life at the time, but I really do think Mysterious Ways, Even Better Than the Real Thing, Until the End of the World, and Trying to Throw Your Arms Around the World are really special. One has become so iconic, I don't think that has anything to do with preferences-- objectively, it is one of their best, if not THE best of their songs. But personally, my absolute favorite song of theirs from any album, and one of my favorite songs of all time, is Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
My goodness. When Bono opens it up vocally, it is incredible! His voice runs the scale of emotions, and I'm feeling them along with him. The bass, pounding drums, guitar, vocals...all perfect together. Another song where I feel Bono's passion is Night and Day.
This song will always throw me back to 1986/7 and driving off-base in the Philippines. Fresh to Clark AB and learning to live in another county. The heat, the dust of the road being thrown up as we rode along. That memory is entangled with this song playing on AFRTS (base radio).
This is one of my favorites ❤ from 1987! But then, U2 is one of my favorite groups!!! They are awesome in concert! Their sound has evolved throughout the decades. That's the thing about iconic bands - they don't have just one sound! Keep listening, Jay!!!
U2 is definitely an iconic band! I love them and I love this song from the album, The Joshua Tree (1987), which I have on vinyl! Bono’s voice is an emotional roller coaster!! A ballad is a slower sentimental or romantic song, doesn’t have to be a rock song! There are R&B ballads, Country ballads, Folk ballads, etc!❤❤
Prior to the release of this song, U2 was well on its way to becoming a good, quality band. THIS song, however, made the world stand up and realize this band was going to be special.
This is the song that really made the band superstars. The whole Joshua album is really good. " see the stone set in your eyes, see the thorn twist in your side." Great lyrics.
I think he missed the meaning behind the lyrics on this one.
Yeah U2 already broke through before this, but this shattered all doubts
One Tree Hill is my favorite from this album.
Unforgettable Fire and War are what made them global superstars.

Pride is what I remember that really put U2 on the map.

There are actually multiple churches (or were) that use U2 explicitly and call it the “U2charist”
The guy always complains about "slow" songs because he doesn't listen to lyrics and emotion. Music is not just about beats.
💯
First time hearing this? Joshua Tree is one of the all time great albums of rock n' roll. I love Red Hill Mining Town, and One Tree Hill.
The Joshua Tree, where this song originates, is an iconic album, one of the Top-10 of the 1980s. An underrated gem off this album is “One Tree Hill” (My favorite U2 song ever) Amber and Jay, enjoy discovering!
Yes, great song and great tribute to Mr. Carroll.
My favorite U2 song as well.
One Tree Hill yes yes yes!!! And Red Hill Mining Town also!
Agree‼️ 💯%
If you were a young person in 1987 and didn't had the Joshua Tree album, you were weird. 😆
Can't even take it. My favorite groups. Love it. Memories all around. Canadian Grandma Lori. C.
U2 Live from Slane Castle - “All I Want Is You” and “Where the Streets Have No Name” (they blend into each other). One of my favorite live performances ❤💥👏🏼
That was shortly after Bono's father died. The emotion you hear in those songs is real.
@@PlumbPitiful Yes 👍🏼
I actually think it's really cool that Jay gave his honest opinion, "it's just alright" is a perfectly valid response.. Hey, if you're not feelin it, you're not feelin it! At least we know it's his real reaction to the songs. :)
You’ve got a point there
Although I disagree - how can you ignore the ever soaring raspy vocals???? If you’re not feeling it and you say so, that’s your honest assessment and to be respected
with or without you is a rock ballad.....this song made them the band thwey are today....their best album is arguably The Joshua Tree.....they were considered to be the biggest band of the 80s and 90s....Bono is still worth 700 million pounds today i believe
It takes a certain special kind of person to understand and really appreciate the music of U2. This man was on another level. Even after all these years, this song still sounds like it came out yesterday. Awesome!
??
well said.
Joshua Tree and Thriller are *the* greatest pop/pop-rock albums of the 80's. Hands down.
@hunchemlnarik. Absolutely. Larry’s is the heart of the band. And probably the most technically gifted musician. His unique drum beats were so critical to forming the band’s sound in the early years & to most of their biggest hits. But I love all four members. U2 are legendary.
Ohhhhhhhh!!!!! This is my all time favorite song ever!!!!! ❤
P.S. Have you guys ever heard “Why You Tear Me So Bad?” By Club Nuvo? Or same group…”Lean On Me.” 😁
Heard this song a thousand times and it never fails to touch me. Could hear it a thousand more and not tire of it. The Edge makes this song ethereal.
Ethereal is the perfect word
A ballad is a love song, no matter the genre. There are rock ballads, pop ballads, etc. Love watching y’all!
"Where the Streets Have No Name" probably is the song that really makes you feel what life is.
That's my driving song - windows down on our long country roads.
@@jennhurl and THAT is how it makes you feel! Like driving really fast, windows down, wind in your hair, and like endless possibilities! Infinity...
Yes, the live video of them playing on the roof
Original video 🙌
Yes!!
The first time I saw this video was at around 11:30 PM back in 1987. NBC had a show called Friday Night Videos. It made me want to buy the Joshua Tree album.
How does a self-professed base guy not totally dig this song?? Most puzzling reaction ever.
I was also puzzled by this reaction. I think Jay was lost in trying to fit their sound in a box, rather than just appreciating the music.
Base? Bass?
The thing about U2 is their style has gone through more than a few different transformations over the years. Heck, when they first started out they were almost a punk band. This particular album came out in the late 80's (around 87 or so if memory serves correctly) and it was arguably their first solid commercial success and the album that really exploded them into the public consciousness.
Amber always has the groove, she just always feels the 🎶
U2 is alternative rock, new wave, post-punk.
👆
when this album came out ,you could not go anywhere socially without hearing a song from it,miss those days
one of my favorites of u2 is an older song " i will follow" their song " beautiful day" is a gem
This is not only my all-time favorite U2 song but one of my favorite songs ever!
Mine too
Same
Have sen them live many times, and thye make stadiums feel intimate. Yes its a ballad and one of my very favourite songs ever.
How do you not love this song.. like seriously.
this song so beautiful, pourin my tears down
By working at Walgreens long enough lol
More to the pont how can't you.
This is a song that grows on you, after several times listening
I felt the same as you, K.😳
I feel like he might enjoy something like Streets or Bullet the Blue Sky more from this album.
Oh man, me too!! This song has so much power, calling out from the deep, full of emotion ….maybe even some relatable pain & struggle. This song is huge. Jay missed out on the fun.
Same!
Particularly for me, I love when Bono says “and you give yourself away.” It is a very personal and powerful lyric at least to me.
I hope you dig deeper and discover the magic of U2.
yes. i always thought he was singing about his relationship with the roman catholic church.
Not every song has to be 1000 beats per minute to be good. This is a great song
Agreed.
Exactly! I wonder if Jay gave it a couple more listens he might appreciate the greatness of this song.
@@Lona_Chess No. If Stevie Nicks or Barry Gibb sang it, maybe 😂,
It’s 120 beats per minute.
In addition, it can be a song that narrates a story.
This comment should be pinned!
Very well stated Patty 🙋🏻♀️
To me a ballad is a song you can slow dance to. I think this is more of a mid tempo song.
@@ronnix23 Unfortunately, your definition is wrong. A Ballad tells a story in verse, either a poem or song. Tempo is of no consequence.
Stunning musicians, stunning control, stunning passion. What's not to love?
That guitar sound in the beginning right after "I'll wait for you" - they way it soars high and modulates down - OMG that has to be one of my favorite musical moments ever. It's one that hits me hard and I literally cannot keep from holding my breath and closing my eyes when I hear it.
IMHO this is one of the most perfect songs ever written.
This is one of U2's Top 5 best songs in my humble opinion! The more you listen to it, the better you're likely to love this song!
Brilliant song! I'd never paid much attention to the band before I heard this one.
This song is just about as perfect as a song can get. Beautifully arranged. Amazing vocals. Impeccable instrumentation. The video is even stunning. Amber....you always seem to get it ! ♥️♥️♥️
I totally agree! Amber, you rock!
Agreed!! ❤
Yes!!! I'm so glad Amber appreciated this song's greatness and beauty.
One of my favorite U2 songs ever. Never get tired of it.
Next really must be " I STILL HAVENT FOUND WHAT IM LOOKING FOR " the ORIGINAL album version. Just stunning.
Their music is so complex and incredibly powerful. I love the slow, relentless build in this one in particular.
This is my favorite U2 song...has been since it came out when I was in 8th grade. It's hsunting, it's beautiful and perfectly evinces that exquisitely torturous feeling between loving and hating the same person.
When Love Comes To Town is a collaboration between B.B. King & U2. You two will love it ( pun intended)
Fantastic!
Their Super Bowl performance was so emotional and what the country needed...
The Irish voices...U2, Cranberries, Sinead...just amazing.
this song gives me chills. the emotion in his voice just gets me every time.🥰
Oh yeah.....this is the one.
Jay doesn’t like U2. 5 songs into their U2 journey. You either get it or you don’t. This song is a masterpiece.😊❤️
J would much rather be watching football maybe with rap as halftime show.
Cap. He liked One and he enjoyed SBS too. Not everyone has to like all of their hits. He'd love Still Haven't Found
@@maximillianford9301 LOL...Nobody says you have to ...🙄
I wasn't that crazy about this song either.
The relationship he is singing about is his relationship with God.
"With or Without You", "Where the Streets Have No Name", and "One" have good lyrics. "Staring at the Sun" is another interesting song by U2.
i think they reacted to "One" already
Unforgettable Fire, U2. Underrated song.
Phenomenal vocal performance.
Saw them live for my b'day in 2011. A great evening. Also saw U2 3D, their IMAX film that was shot across Latin America. That had some trippy 3D moments.
Up next for U2, definitely do "Still Haven't Found what I'm Looking For"
they really have their share of songs where they take their time and reel the listener in most rock bands tend to do that, which is the best part of the style really an awesome band
I like how Bono does an almost Irish keen in his songs. He is Irish and that really does come out in his voice. Just beautiful.
“All I Want Is You”, “In God’s Country”, “I Will Follow”, “Red Hill Mining Town”, “Mysterious Ways”, “Bad”… all great choices ❤
In my opinion, most iconic U2 song. SHOCKED that this is your first listen to this song!
They're kids.
They may have heard it in movies or even the grocery store but they haven't sat down and actively listened.
This album was produced by the musical genius Brian Eno. Such an incredible matchup U2 under the direction of the master.
Eno and Daniel Lanois. The album has a lot of Lanois' signature style.
This is one of my all time favorite songs and is iconic U2. The Joshua Tree album is a masterpiece.
U2 are a rock band and this is most definitely a ballad.
Was never really into U2 but... "Still Haven't Found What Im Looking For" is a TOP tune. 🎶🎼
This is my favorite of theirs because of the soaring emotion, the hitches in his breath . . . it knocked me off my feet.
