- Build your own Christmas tree. Make a Christmas Tree from scrap wood. In this festive video we show you how easy it is to make an outdoor Christmas tree from wood with basic tools. The Christmas tree is held in place in a planter with sand and gravel, and is the tree is accented with Christmas lights that are on a timer.

Thanks! Yep night time is when it comes to life. As someone suggested I should have painted it so it would look good during the day as well.
@@LonghornWorkshop you could always paint it sometime if you want to but it might look different at night if you paint it. It Might not glow as bright If the tree background is darker. I think it's great as it is 🎄🎄🎄

I got slightly lost in the seaside town of Bangor Co. Down this week and saw a bus stop dressed up with exactly this kind of plywood-and-lights Christmas tree! Someone had really gone to town on it. (Actually I like your jigsaw - that laser doodad looks pretty cool) Cheers Harki, I enjoyed that one.

Good one Harki 👍 😁. It turned out great. I actually preferred the circular saw as well to a jigsaw.. if I used it, there would be too much of blade wander, lol. Btw, are you going to paint it green?
Thanks I rarely use a jigsaw as I hate it. No I wasn’t planning on painting it but someone else also mentioned it so maybe next year. Feeling a little lazy mate…🤣
