Great work on the build. He just built transportation for himself costing very little money.
Why nails and not screws? Nails will eventually get loose with vibrations. Especially when nailed perpendicular to the wood and not at an angle. Why only the sealant material at edges of plastic ends? a plexiglass liner would be a great addition with far most water tight resistance.
Amazing work with minimum tools. I admire everything except the plastic barrel joints. They are OK, but they shouldn't be overlapping. They vould have pasted a nother long strip about six inches with hard glue to cover the joints . Because the boat's upper pressure might separate the joints. Careful it can happen in the middle of deep water. Good work, guys.👍
With all of that nice wood, seems like someone would have the idea to build a pair of SAWHORSES! Instead everyone squats in the dirt? It makes no sense.
you should get a screw gun, far better than nails, holding force of nails comes out but not with screws..at least a few screws for strength along with the nails....too much good work to have it come apart with loose nails.
I dont think it will serve,weeks. The nails used will be sworn out in water when the wood is full of water. That means the woods will depart,from each other
