      @@hsandev8972 Agreed, reality doesnt just barge like some epic heroic movie plot. It is purely cold for people struggling and yes they simply dont have cards or leverage to get better terms. For that I liked very much the lines from characters here. I'd rather business people negotiating on middle grounds in the first place than blindly giving out donations afterwards when the damage is already done(and they did it to avoid tax).
      The great part of the ep is that she gets to be on both begging/warm side and the begged/cold side. So the point can be this is nobody's fault, or the finance/insurance system is just making us less human, just like media system is holding the power to tell the truth but they are never honest.

    Cuddy is the only character in the show that truly, truly earned my respect. She wakes up everyday to a crying girl, dreases up, goes to work, solves some 10 administrative problems in one hour and she still has to be insulted and yelled at by House while still trying to solve other issues. Then she goes back home and still has to take care of a child. What a woman.

      I love the arc where she tries to step back for a few weeks and leave Cameron in her place, only for Cameron to confirm to Cuddy that she's the only one who can do the job. It felt very bittersweet.

    • @GTECH6_HABBO
      @GTECH6_HABBO 2 месяца назад +1

      Now that you mention Cameron's stint as an administrator, I recently finished watching the show for the first time and I'm still feeling sad about the character not getting that much time beyond Season 3, she could have been so much more, whether it be doing administrative things or doctor things, or even developing into a love interest for House. I like to imagine that some off-screen stuff happened between them because of that one time Cameron couldn't give a straight yes/no answer about whether she slept with him or not.
      For the record I get that House was written to be self-destructive and unable to have a healthy relationship, but it's not like people with his disorder can't have relationships like that, they just work very differently. House getting into a relationship like that would have been really interesting to watch.

      To be fair, the dude had a point. This situation was not just about intentions but about the fact that the dude consented to something specific and his consent was ignored. The guy had a very good case and every right to sue. If costs of procedures could simply be fully shifted on the patient just because they sued, then there would be no incentive for legal retribution upon infringement of patient rights, and violating a patient's consent is a good way to lose your medical license irl. Who can trust Chase not to do something else a patient explicitly did not approve of just because he "felt it was best"?
      The only thing in their favor is that because there wasn't any physical damage inflicted on the patient and they COULD argue for Chase's good intentions, the that would PROBABLY keep the judge and jury from invoking too high of a punishment on them, but a punishment there would be. Nonetheless, this is the type of case that would most likely be settled long before it reached court, and by the hospital's LEGAL department, not by the freaking Dean of Medicine.

      I admit Lisa Cuddy would have made a good series, but the problem I see with it, Cuddy is too serious. After that stunt House pulled that involved him driving his car through her dining room, there is a 0% chance she would have tried dealing with another House. A day in the life of the Dean of Medicine was probably a lot like a day in the life of Alison Cameron in an ER somewhere in Chicago. Mundane, boring, and not all that entertaining.
